STAY AWAY. There enough dentists in town not to snookered by him. 1. Claims to be a graduate of a CA school, yet cannot speak a word of English. Everything has to be translated by his staff. 2. Lies to his patients. Claims to be on several insurance plans but if you check him out FIRST, he is not. So after he works on you, you find out that he is out of network and stuck with a high bill. 3. Not open to any negotiation. Is in bed with his collection agency. Dr Do is amazing. His office is very, very clean and his staff is friendly, too.I called Dr Do on a Sunday. My tooth was killing me. The pain had spread to the entire left side of my head. I called Dr Do and he said he could see me in an hour. I went to his office were he took a few x-rays and told me that the tooth I wanted to have pulled was fine and showed me the x-rays to prove it. When a doctor corrects my self diagnosis somehow I feel a little better right away. We made an appointment for the following day, Monday at 10 for a deep cleaning, which I knew I was over do. I gave him my insurance card info which for some reason was not working. He told me to come back tomorrow for my appointment and we could check it again then. I left his office paying no money out of pocket. He trusted me to return, which I did. Monday's office visit went smoothly. I did not have to wait too long for things to start happening. Full set of x-rays of my mouth were taken. Dr Do came in and performed the deep cleaning. He did my entire mouth in one setting. Although the cleaning session took a long time, Dr Do did everything to make sure I was comfortable; allowing to take a break at one point and stopping periodically so I could refocus. His office has a flat screen TV that pivots over the chair which is a nice distraction and takes your mind somewhat of whats happening. In summary, Dr Do is a caring professional. He looks younger than he is, but has the professionalism of a veteran dentist. I only saw him earlier today but have already referred him to a special person in my life, my mother, who lives in Escondido. So you can probably guess I would refer him to anyone who is looking for a great dentist. read more

Been coming to Dr.Do since he took over the practice from my previous dentist. I had all kinds of procedures done through the years, from extractions, crowns to dental implants. Dr. Do does great work, and I've never had an issue with his work. His fees are consistent with the type of high quality work that he performs. Good dental work is not cheap. Cheap dental work is not good.. Dr. Do uses the latest technology available. He is a perfectionist with his dental work and I am very satisfied with my dental work he has performed. If you are looking for a good dentist, he's the guy. read more

My review is similar to one already here, and potential customers must be warned. This guy is incompetent and unprofessional. The deal I purchased included x-rays, an exam, and a cleaning for $39. After the exam, he tried to tell me that I had gum disease (which I do not) so I couldn't get the cleaning. Therefore, the $39 should apply to the cost for a deep cleaning and other recommended services (which of course totaled to about $1200!). I don't think so. I got the original agreed-upon $39 cleaning, which was done sloppily as he pouted like an upset little boy. He sprayed water all over the place and onto my face, obviously on purpose. Ridiculous. The assistant Elvia, however, was very polite and nice, and did a good job with the x-rays. Buyers beware! It is a repeat scam. I'm not going back and I recommend people stay away. read more

I should preface this by saying I get high anxiety with any sort of dental work beyond a filling. It's a stressful and usually painful experience. As always Dr. Do's sweet staff was charming from the instant I walked in the door. Over the course of two days I got a wisdom tooth extracted, 2 fillings removed and reset, 2 new fillings done and lots of deep cleaning. I couldn't be happier with how the work went. I didn't even know he finished extracting the tooth, that's how painless and easy it was. The cleaning was still a little intense but it was my first time having anything like that done. I'm very glad that Dr. Do was the one to do this procedure, as I'm sure it wouldn't have been as easy on me if it had been someone else. It's obvious that I highly recommend coming here! I just finished my work yesterday and before the novocaine even wore off I was telling my mom she needed to look him up. read more

Dr. Peter is great. I needed a wisdom tooth removed (badly) and he made sure I was seen the same day I called. He has a very pleasant, easy-going demeanor and is a true professional. Had my tooth out in no time and made sure I felt no discomfort during the procedure. He even called later the same evening just to see how I was feeling! That is a man who cares about his patients and his work. His office has state of the art equipment and is very clean. I brought my 7 year old son with me and Peter made my boy feel welcome by making sure he was comfortable and had something to keep him busy. You won't find a better family dentist. On a Sunday morning, I was playing with my dog. Unfortunately this play time resulted in my dogs head hitting my mouth and chipping my tooth. In a panic, I Google a dentist near my house. As soon as I called and explained the situation they took me in right away. In all my years of going to the dentist, this was the FIRST time one has treated me so efficiently and kind. My entire time there was a pleasant experience. My tooth is better than before and I felt NO pain. Coming to this business was the best thing I have ever done. All by chance with a Google search. I have never been to a better dentist than Dr. Do. His staff is the best, too. There is not one thing to criticize. The doctor does not believe in pain. If you flinch, as you inevitably will, he immediately asks you about it and solves the pain. You will not get an intense pain because he is gentle and careful. Dr. Do has a one stop practice where you will not get sent around the north county to a bunch of golfing buddies to each do their little bit. The doctor's assistant, Elvia, is super nice and competent. I have a few spots of thin enamel that are sensitive and she took time and care in cleaning my teeth as not to give me any "jolts". Holly does a great job with scheduling, billing, insurance, and dealing with cranky old customers! I let my teeth go a little bit; to a large degree because of bad experiences with condescending disinterested incompetent dentists. I have now found the best dentist in the north county. read more

My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Do...he is the best dentist we have ever seen. Extreme pain drove me to this dental office in desperation. Many years of fear kept me from seeing a dentist but that day I could not avoid it one more moment. I did a lot of research but don't think Yelp is where I would have looked for a dentist when I'm in excruciating pain. The staff was so kind. They carefully monitored me to be sure I was ok (I have other health issues). I didn't wait to be seen and when it was my turn, IT WAS MY TURN. No running between patients. They never said anything negative about how bad my teeth were. They were so nice. Yes, it was expensive, but I was expecting that. Kinda figured that was my punishment for so many years of neglecting my teeth because of being a scaredy cat. But they are working with my husband and I to get the rest of my work done, as we can afford it. Any business can have one person with some sort of problem but that should never overshadow the dozens of happy people that walk out of their doors. i was having a hard time with my dentist i'd had forever. he was giving me some attitude about my tooth pain that he just couldn't fix. i (like everyone i'm sure) have a hard time finding a dentist i'm comfortable with because it's just not fun having your teeth worked on. so i checked out dr. do, referred by my friend. he found some major cavities that my previous dentist obviously missed and discovered why i had the tooth pain. one thing missed by my old dentist was a large cavity that ended up needing a root canal. luckily he had a spot for me to come in and it ended up being a tricky root canal and instead of closing me up and being lazy or having me come back to finish, he stayed and worked on that thing for 5 hours! he had me text my husband every hour to tell him i was ok. the next day he called me to check in and make sure i was feeling ok. he is definitely brutally honest about your dental care but you know, i'd rather know up front that i need work done rather than keeping it a secret like my previous dentist obviously did! read more

I was grateful that Dr Do had Saturday hours and I went to him for a broken tooth which he said was a partial crown. He created a new tooth in the office so I had my mouth open way too long for a person with Fibromyalgia which created multiple OTHER issues such as headache, teeth grinding etc. but I get ahead of myself. Before I left the office I said the material doen't feel right, it feels rough or porous. I was told that is normal and it would smooth out. It never did. I was experiencing extreem hot and cold pain and had a horrible time eating for nearly 9 month I waited for the pain to subside as I called and was told this was normal. I finally had to see another dentist who saw that the root was still exposed and insisted ona root cancal and lab created crown. I paid Dr Do my co-pay and they billed my insurance. After I already had to pay to fix his crappy work....they started calling me about a $79 balance. I should take them to small clams court and get ALL my monery back especially since they threatened me with collections! Since I can't really afford to take time off work to go to court...I will just pay the stupid balance....BUT Dental patients BEWARE!!!! read more

I am a Navy veteran with bad teeth. I called to inquire about the services that they provided and the receptionist was very pleasant and made me feel comfortable by her phone demeanor. I was able to be seen the same day, actually, immediately following the phone call and the Dentist was made available to see me. I had to get a bad tooth fixed followed by a deep cleaning, which took approximately 2 hours. Although, I had bad experiences in the past with visits to the Dentist, this is the was my first time not having an overwhelming feeling of deep embarrassment and shame. The entire staff was extremely professionally and courteous. I must say that they have really opened my eyes on the importance of having good teeth. For anyone, who has felt the shame that I have endured throughout my teenage years and well into my adult years, don't be ashamed to fix your smile as it can be fixed! Highly recommended. read more
