After reading the office's response to my husband's review, I feel the need to share my own…read moreexperience as the person who actually went into the office to discuss the billing issues. The problem was never that we refused to contact insurance ourselves. The issue was the office's unwillingness to help clarify obvious discrepancies or assist in resolving confusing charges related to treatments THEY recommended. When I visited the office, I asked reasonable questions about inconsistent insurance payments, unclear billing, and financial charges added during the insurance processing period. For example, insurance paid very different amounts for exactly the same treatment. The office simply printed out the insurance payment details and even agreed that it "didn't make much sense." However, when I asked if they could help double-check with insurance, I was repeatedly told that it was "my responsibility" to deal with insurance. Simply telling patients to call their insurance company is not the same as providing good customer service or billing transparency. What made the experience especially frustrating was the dismissive attitude throughout the conversation. In particular, when I pointed out that financial charges were being added before insurance had even completed processing the claims, I explained that the insurance payment timeline is between the office and the insurance company, and patients should only be responsible for the unpaid portion after insurance processing -- not finance charges on the full amount during that process. The response I received was essentially: "Well, it's your insurance. They paid us late, so you are responsible." I have honestly never experienced this type of billing practice anywhere else. Overall, this office felt far more focused on collecting money than caring for patients. This was reflected in the unclear, non-itemized invoices we received. If I had not gone into the office personally and asked for printed details, I would never have understood how these so-called "financial charges" were being calculated. Please carefully review your invoices if you visit this office. I truly hope this feedback encourages them to improve their billing transparency and customer service.

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was very disappointing…read more I went to this dental office last September for a routine cleaning. I was strongly recommended a deep cleaning and was told my insurance would likely cover it, so I agreed. Months later, I received a bill of over $400 with no clear explanation or itemized breakdown. When we went to the office to ask for clarification, we were not given clear answers and were told to "deal with the insurance company ourselves." There was no willingness to review the charges or help us understand the billing. We also noticed additional financial charges were added over time, even while the insurance claim was still being processed. We were never informed of any outstanding balance during visits. Overall, the communication, billing transparency, and customer service were very poor. It felt more focused on billing than patient care, and I would not recommend this office

Ahh nooope ;) I have another cavity I need to take care of. I also started my journey to a smile that I could be happy with all within 1 day. Thank you to the office manger very sweet kind!! The first time I came to this dentist, everything was okay overall, but there were definitely some…read morethings that concerned me. The treatment rooms didn't seem very well maintained. Nothing hanging on the walls was straight, there were several gnats flying around, and the cabinets had holes in them. It didn't leave the best first impression. During my first visit, they took X-rays and photos. I had previously been to another dentist, but I couldn't afford the out-of-pocket cost, so I switched to Western Dental because they accepted my insurance. The dentist told me I actually had more cavities than the previous dentist had found. I had been told I needed four fillings, but they said I had even more. I also explained that I'm six months postpartum and that my family has a long history of poor teeth, especially on my grandpa's side. I've struggled with cavities my whole life, even though I brush my teeth almost three times a day. When the dentist asked if I had any sensitivity, I explained that my teeth have always been very sensitive, even after previous fillings, especially to cold. Her response was, "Well, no wonder your teeth are sensitive--you have more cavities." The way it was said made me feel judged. I already know I have dental issues, and despite taking good care of my teeth, genetics have always worked against me. My filling appointment was originally scheduled for 3:00 PM. Earlier that day, the office called asking if I could come in at noon because the doctor wanted to leave early. I explained that the earliest I could come was 2:00 PM because I have a six-month-old baby and already had childcare arranged around my mom's doctor's appointment. They agreed to 2:00. I arrived around 1:40 PM but wasn't brought back until about 2:20 PM. I have a lot of anxiety about dental procedures, especially the numbing injections, so I had been mentally preparing myself all day. Waiting only made my anxiety worse. Around 2:50 PM, they finally came in and numbed me. I was relieved because the part I fear most was finally over. Then they decided they wanted additional photos after I was already numb. After that, everyone seemed to disappear. The dentist began working on another patient, stopped midway to work on someone else, finished that patient's procedure, then returned to the first patient while I continued sitting there numb and waiting. After another 30-45 minutes of being completely ignored, I finally got up, rescheduled my appointment, and left. It felt incredibly disrespectful of my time. I don't understand why they asked me to come in earlier if they weren't ready for me, or why they would numb me before they were actually prepared to start treatment. By the time they would have gotten to me, the numbing likely would have started wearing off. The receptionist even suggested I bring my baby to my appointment next time. I explained that she's six months old, doesn't just sleep through appointments anymore, and she has cystic fibrosis. I don't feel comfortable bringing her into a dental office where she's exposed to germs, especially since she gets sick easily. It also wouldn't be realistic to manage an active infant while undergoing dental work. We were only supposed to do three fillings. The appointment should have been finished by the time I ended up leaving. Instead, I spent nearly two hours sitting there, much of it with a numb mouth, while no one communicated with me. Dental procedures are already mentally exhausting for someone with severe anxiety. Sitting there waiting with no updates made the experience even more stressful. I understand that delays can happen, but communication and respect for a patient's time go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left me very disappointed.
