Didn't get the placement of the body right and faulty instructions on posture. Blamed it on the shoulders being too big. As the imaging head rotates it hit my shoulders. Didn't explain the correct placement and the killer was she forgot the lead body shield. I was too stupid to notice. Nice dose of ionizing radiation. The second time got the body position correct arms grabbing the handles. Third time a new person got the position still not right, only got half the tooth. They blamed it on the machine. Operator error. They resorted to a regular xray machine. They gave a discount after I complained they were charging for a 3d xray which they never used. Doc said some of the data was useful so partial charge. 4 xray doses, one unprotected. For a cracked tooth they cant treat. Not a good feeling of competence. They should practice on some boxes first instead of live patients.

I called my dentist office to let them know I need a root canal and will be seeing a specialist. My dentist has my permanent crown waiting for me and I thought I could hold off on seeing a specialist, but the root canal pain was unbearable. So I went to see another dentist, Dr. Nguyễn on a Saturday. After xray and assessment, she prescribed me some antibiotics and pain medication. She then referred me to Dr. Chen. I've seen other Endodontist in the past for my other root canal and the experience with Dr. Chen by far was the best experience and I am extremely grateful for her. Dr. Chen was extremely pleasant, explained the entire process in detail, explained during the procedure, and explained to me what to expect after my procedure. She did not only successfully took our four nerve in that one tooth, but also reshaped my top crown, so when my new bottom crown is on, it will not ruin my dental crown. She even suggested, once my crown is placed by my dentist, please come back to her to make sure my bite and crown fit perfectly so it doesn't create problems for me in the future at no cost to me! I do have aggressive grinding and biting so she wanted to make sure I can keep the longevity of my crowns, since we all know this stuff is costly. She genuinely put her patient first, she even waived some charges for me! The office called me the next day to ask how I was doing. The staff and Dr. Chen are so kind and professional. Now, I am sad I won't get to see her again until my next root canal (hope that doesn't happen). If it does, I know where to go. He checks on you throughout the treatment to make sure you are OK and that the procedure is painless, then after the treatment thoroughly reviews with you what has been done and what the next steps are. Dr. Lavasani and team streamlined the process for me, and the results were phenomenal…read more TLDR; I went to the dentist for the first time after 5-6 years and was written a referral for a root canal, possibly 2, to fight an infection about the size of a penny/nickel in Nov 2025. My treatment was complex, but my first root canal was painless after a week. They walked me through multiple assessments, and we agreed on a plan to save my second tooth before committing to another root canal. My recovery is 6 months before follow up, and my dentist confirmed the infection site is healing nicely after only one month. The pressure's practically gone now, and I'm expecting bone growth within a few months. Recovery is the patient's responsibility, but this office provides quality care and sets you up for success. It's always a good sign when someone follows up and answers your concerns! :)
