The area is beautiful and clean. The property has more than what you might need to stay and live and enjoy vacation. Beach towels were provided and sand toys, beach chairs, snorkeling gear and so much more. The beach right outside the property is rocky but the kids still enjoyed it everyday. They anticipated questions, sent extremely thorough information and research, looked into out-of-the-box solutions, and they also fielded issues before they even got to me, so that when I was presented with them they already had solutions lined up. We got a deal we were all happy with in the end and closing went incredibly smooth. They also had great advice for navigating the market, and despite the fact that we could not put the property up for sale for a year due to estate/legal issues, they were still giving it their all and sending me information and helping me set up the property to prepare it to sell throughout this time. I would hire them for absolutely anything, but of course their specialties are in the real estate market! Jessica is an undeniable pro and I can't believe the amount of hours she put in for the sale process of this property. She knew all the right referrals and streamlined every possible process to an incredible degree. This resort is not closed, we stayed in Unit 112 from January 3-8, 2024…read more I did post a helpful review on the VRBO Website but it does not allow photos so I'm following up with Yelp. This is an extremely dated unit that is located at the side of resort and unlike the beach facing units has no view of ocean unless you crane your neck around the plywood wall on the lanai and there is an unpleasant aroma that wafts in the room through the louvered windows. There is no pool or grassy area to sit and relax. The coin operated laundry is located in an outdoor building next to some gas grills. The owner has most all available space (drawers, closet, kitchen cabinets, underneath bed, lanai) jammed with personal items leaving little room for guests. This is a very small unit and unsure how more than 2 people could accommodate (her VRBO reviews stats a family of 4 stayed there??) Our first morning we awoke to cockroaches in kitchen and a non operating coffee maker. Coffee maker was replaced on day two. The refrigerator did not seem to cool properly and ice would melt in the freezer each day. The dishwasher has a broken lower rack that falls when trying to load dishes. On day 4 the kitchen sink started leaking and once again I contacted owner. She told us to discontinue using sink and dishwasher and to do dishes in bathroom. Later that day she called my cell phone and told us to return to room to let a lady in that was going to work on drain (apparently you must always keep room key in an outdoor lock box so anyone with code can enter. And no, there is not a room safe for valuables) The garbage can from under sink was now placed in the already narrow kitchen walkway. We were unable to prepare meals for 2 1/2 days and when I asked for compensation from Linda (owner) she completely ignored me. Her retaliatory response was to give me a bad guest review on VRBO which is laughable as we swept and cleaned each day to try to keep cockroach infestation under control. As mentioned, the front facing units are lovely, some are very nicely updated. The beach itself is centrally located and perfect for relaxing.

The hot then cold combo is great for the muscles. Towels are free, along with suntan cream so make sure you use them. There were so many burned people at the pool. Love the Ritz pools, adults only areas and kiddos areas to keep everyone happy. Fantastic pools, beautifully scenic views, you really can't beat it!

If you're going to splurge on photos, I definitely think it's worth doing here. My only reason for not giving it five stars is more about the location than the resort itself. Maui has so much to see and do, and I found this side of the island to be a little windier than I would have preferred. After experiencing different parts of Maui, I think I would personally choose the Kaanapali area going forward. I found it a little more convenient for what I like to do and the overall vibe for me was just better.
