They are thieves and have completely poor communication. All they care about are their pockets. In the midst of a HUGE Covid outbreak in Hawaii we had to cancel our wedding. I had tried for several days to get a hold of someone to speak to at Coconut Condos, but it has been extremely difficult. They only have an automated phone system and the responses given to me via email seemed to be automated as well. I had a wedding planned for October 2021, but given the current circumstances our wedding has been canceled. We have reached out to numerous businesses who were MORE than willing to work with us to refund us our money given the current circumstances. The governor advised tourists to stay away from the islands. When I asked for a refund they told me they couldn't provide me with one given that they have a Covid policy (which was not emailed to me or listed in the agreement). Of the total $1,120 I put down on the condo they are only willing to refund me $48. For something that is completely out of the our control. DO NOT PLAN TO STAY HERE!!! This business is corrupt and has extremely poor communication!

And her response to our bad review was exaggerated and untruthful. She obviously took it personal even though we said she was kind in our review. I do not recommend her or their Kihei rental house. It had nothing to do with the extra $100 cleaning fee, that's just hilarious. For the money we paid to stay here the house just wasn't worth it. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere if you want a good experience, clean house, and a stress free vacation and deposit refund. We also rented through another vacation rental company the week before renting Sherry's Kihei home right next door and had zero problems or complaints about them or from them. Aloha, My wife and…read moreI, had a great time in Maui! We found "Maui Tropical Rentals", on Craigslist. We were a little skeptical, but called and talked to Sherry. She put my doubts to ease and kept in contact by email till I arrived to our rental property, on 08/05/2014. The property was beautiful and the pictures did not do it justice. The beach was 15 feet away, right in the back yard. When we go back, we will definitely be calling again. Thank you again, Sherry!

After booking a $3500 per…read morenight the Villa on the montage properties, the nice folks at private paradise villas decided to cancel our reservation after three days of having our contract and left us without a spring break. Not only deduct they cancel as our reservation but they gave us no reason why other than the fact that we are traveling with six children who are all super responsible, have a love for the ocean, and a great respect for all properties. When we got the notice of cancellation, again, after we had canceled our other properties., They offered no explanation Even after we agreed to talk to the property manager or the owner to figure out exactly why they canceled our reservation. I can't help but think that somehow they are discriminating against our religion, we're having mini siblings it's kind of what we do. Because they said that we had too many people on the reservation even though the place fits eight-which is exactly what we had. Now her vacation is ruined and I would employ you to run as fast as you can away from that shady outfit. They even offered to give us a discount if we went away from VRBO which we should've never done. These people are heartless and do not have the aloha spirit. The Foley's

We had to last-minute book a place a month before we headed to Maui because our original AirBnB…read morecanceled. This was the the only option in our area, so we had to select one of their condos. Check-in was fine, but we had to go to their main office specifically between 3-4 or a different location if we checked in after that. We signed our papers and then headed to Kihei Akahi. The two stars are for the location - very close to food and the beach as well as a good jumping off point for starting the road to Hana. Our door has a key code lock so that was a nice touch. However, there was no hot water (or even water hotter than lukewarm) and when we called the building manager, they suggested we use a pool house outside of the building if we wanted hot water to shower because their water heater was broken. Also, you have to empty the water pan under the AC unit frequently or else be charged $100 if it leaks onto lower units. We checked in right before leaving for a luau and luckily we went to see the water level - it was already overflowing and we had just gotten there! We had to bail it out with bowls from the kitchen before emptying it out into the kitchen sink. Additionally, after coming back our first night from a luau, we were horrified to see tons of tiny ants and cockroaches running around the kitchen and on the walls once we turned the light on. We realized they were coming from the sink and after we killed as many as we could or knocked them down the drain, we put a bowl over it to try and keep them out. Didn't really work, as we found some on the walls of the living room area and bathroom. If we were planning on cooking our own meals, we would've had to buy disinfectant or something first because after seeing all those bugs I would've felt disgusting using the kitchen and I avoided it as much as possible. You can only call this company between 8am and 4pm, so I couldn't call that night. We left for Road to Hana at about 6:30am and didn't get back until 6:30pm, and I never had service on that trip so I could call and let them know. When I did get a hold of them before checkout, the woman said she wished I had let her know earlier so they could have sprayed it before the next guests arrive. She apologized a few times, but it wasn't very sincere and I wasn't impressed. Lastly, checkout is very involved. You have to throw out all the trash, start the dishwasher, and start at least one load of laundry, although they ask if you can start a second if you have time. This is because they have like a four-hour window to turn condos over before the next unsuspecting guests walk in and get to experience the mess this condo was for us. Bad customer service, gross and outdated condo, but good location.

I called to see if they could move usand of course they could not. They originally indicated that they might be able to move us in a couple days but retracted that offer. The only options were for us to pay 5x as much to rebook something on a nearly sold-out island or put roach traps in the unit. I killed dozens of roaches and missed twice as many. They should be ashamed to include this rental in their pool
