We booked Royal Kaanapali L101 6 months in advance. Plumbing issue delayed entry, it happens. "London" from Maui Beach Rentals was irked I did not respond to her texts and emails while I was driving to the property. I'm Sorry? I had to say that for some reason, and she seemed to calm down after I apologized to her, but not for long. She then offered a smaller, less expensive alternative, or I could find somewhere to stay on my own? Thanks? When I questioned changing my plan for the next 8 days, her response was take it or leave it. Again, thanks? My eventual response was that "We have no where else to stay". I had to ask if we could switch to the L101 location when the plumbing issue was resolved. Wait, what? She needed to call a manager? That ended up happening, only because I had the audacity to ask? She didn't seem happy about that either. Processing payments and answering basic questions is bare bones basic customer service. Resolving a problem without acting like you, as the customer service representative, are being inconvenienced by having to deal with it, is not good customer service. L101 is a great property. An amazing location and view, and amenities that you would otherwise have to pay extra for (like I did) . She handled everything with ease and answered any and all questions we had. The check in process was simple and listed out in an email and everything was provided at the property. The property itself was amazing!!! The pictures didn't do it justice. We stayed and Kahana Village 37 and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone! The area is beautiful and clean. The property has more than what you might need to stay and live and enjoy vacation. Beach towels were provided and sand toys, beach chairs, snorkeling gear and so much more. The beach right outside the property is rocky but the kids still enjoyed it everyday. My wife and I have used Maui Beachfront Rentals on each of our 7 trips to Maui and I have never been disappointed. The office staff is always friendly and helpful and easy to work with. Booking is easy and instructions are very clear. They are locally owned and have been very diligent about promoting responsible tourism. We stay at The Napili Bay #205 which is a fabulous studio apartment just steps from the beach and walking distance to 3 restaurants, a coffee shop and a snorkel store. The grounds are beautifully kept and it's a great mix of tourists and long-term residents. It's not a big resort with lots of amenities (Maui Beachfront has other properties that might provide that) but if you want a super pleasant and relaxing stay in Maui you can't beat this place. NEVER AGAIN! Save yourself some money and frustration by booking your Mahana Resort vacation directly with the resort and not with Maui Beachfront Rentals. I received my credit card final billing in the mail, not sure how Maui Beachfront Rentals and vrbo are connected, but they charged my account $220 for using their platform and Maui Beachfront Rentals charged me $1,828.37 for my week -- I'm pretty sure they're aware of the fees but all I got from MBFR is " I'm sorry, but it is something that we have no control over"?!... yet when you view the resort in vrbo it lists Maui Beachfront Rentals as the premier host for bookings... I have worked with quite a few rental agencies, and Maui Beachfront has to be the worst I've ever worked with (by a long shot). We paid Ritz Carlton prices (17k for a 10-day stay) but had Motel 6 service. It took about 3 hours to check in because someone at Maui Beachfront didn't enter the information correctly. The bellman at the front desk was going out of his way to try and help us out, but the representative at Maui beachfront made his day and job 10x harder. They essentially wouldn't allow him access to get our room keys. Upon arrival- the stove, ice machine, and oven were broken. We also had a few clogged sinks (maintenance never came out after we called and reported them). After the piling issues of our unit, I pulled a Karen move and asked to speak to the manager. I called the manager and left three voicemails and still have not heard back. You're better off camping on the Hawaiian beaches for free. The manager also will not call you back, but at least your expectations are lower, given the free price tag. read more

5-23-24. Really - No stars here. Stay was from 5/2-5/13. Papakea C303. The unit was unprepared for guests. Very little assistance from Maui Beachfront Rentals. I will not rent from them again! When we arrived, there was one tiny bar of soap in the bathroom which was broken. There was no other soap other than a pump soap that had one pump left and very dirty on the outside of the container. The condo provided us four dinner plates and three wine glasses. Not even enough to accommodate a second meal or a few guests. The dishes/pans/bowls were dirty. ALL pots and pans had no lids whatsoever. I apparently used an instant pot pot for bowling as there were no others to boil in. No instant pot cooker to be seen. The pot was thrown in with the others. Again, no lids for any of them. They indicated they had bedding to fit the beds in the unit's profile. The comforter on the king size bed would match a double bed, cheap, thin, was old and did not fit the bed. No blanket on the bed, but a blanket that was provided in the closet was an "old" twin size blanket. The slider screen going out to the balcony was so old that it wouldn't even slide back and forth. We had to just shut the glass slider door and not use the screen. The condo and balcony were dirty. On the first day, I contacted Maui beachfront and told a rep about the soap. Her only response was that they only provided us a starter kit and she kept repeating herself. I understood that, but this was ridiculous. There were 3 of us. I told her this tiny bar of soap was broken in half. I also brought up the filthiness and that it had not been cleaned appropriately. She said she would mention it to the cleaning crew... Not until I mentioned Covid cleanliness promised for years, did I get someone delivering a pump container of soap - that is it. I contacted the office twice and no one even ever followed up with us to see how are stay was. We went ahead and purchased everything that we needed, washed and cleaned the condo. We even bought a few more towels and blankets for comfort. I would not recommend this Condo Papakea C303 or Maui Beachfront. I love the Papakea Resort and it gets my full 5 stars. This rental experience/company, however, was unfortunate. read more

Horrible unit, horrible management, worthless cleaners!! We stayed at Grand Champions 61 and the unit wasn't cleaned upon our arrival. We called Maui Brachfront Rental and left several messages. We finally called and Beverley answered, said she would call cleaners and have management call us back. We never heard from anyone again. We called after arriving home, Beverley said she would have management call AGAIN, it didn't happen. Our luggage had tiny bugs in it, not sure if they were bedbugs or not, but they were all in our clothes and goodies we brought home for family member. It would have been cleaner staying in a tent at a homeless encampment. Read these reviews and believe them. Do not waste your money with this company. read more

We stayed at Valley Isle unit 403 to assist with the Lahaina fires. Unit 403 has new a/c, 2br, 2ba, full kitchen, washer / dryer. It's like a home away from home...but with an awesome view. We rented unit 282 at the Kaanapali Alii in September, where we've stayed many times. It's a beautiful property, centrally located with a great staff. This unit was well situated with an ocean view and nicely furnished. But it was not well maintained. Several of the windows and one of the sliding glass doors to the lanai would not open. The other sliding glass door would not lock. The safe was also not working; it appears the batteries were dead. One of the light switches did not work. The wifi instructions were incorrect, but we managed to figure it out after a bit. But the worst part was the cockroaches, visible on the counters and on the floor. We called but didn't hear back from them for two days. They were apologetic and refunded a small portion of the rental fee. In the meantime we got roach motels which seemed to do the trick. read more

We stayed at the Kamaole Beach Club in Kihei, and the place was fantastic. Fully equipped with everything you need to cook, bbq, or go enjoy the beach with chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and floaties. The only complaint would be that the a/c portable units are load and not the most efficient. The bathroom doors had to remain shut due to the heat coming in from the exhaust vents. Otherwise, no complaints. read more

My husband and I stayed at The Napili Bay 202 for our honeymoon. The room was a perfect size and had everything we need. It was near by restaurants and shopping not to mention foot steps from the beach. To wake up in the morning make coffee and eat breakfast on the balcony while watching the water rolling was so beautiful and relaxing. The only thing I could even complain about was the fact that when you are foot steps away from the ocean it was a little loud trying to sleep with the waves crashing on the shore. Quick fix we went to wal mart got some ear plugs and problem solved. I am also a light sleeper so I may not be an issue for other people. Their website allows you to look at all available lodging options within your time of stay so you can make an informed decision. It also allows you to choose the lodging that fits within your budget. This is the worst property management/vacation rental group I have encountered not only in Hawaii, but in all of my travels. It makes me even sadder because we are from Hawaii and they treated us like trash. To be fair to others who work for this company, my interactions were limited to Michelle and Janee. Long story short, we rented a property through VRBO that is managed by MBR. We live on Oahu and had to make a last minute trip to Maui for a close relatives funeral. Upon arrival to our property on 11/6/19 we did not have hot water. We didnt even have luke warm water. This was really frustrating at the time because our 2 month old son had a diaper blowout en route to Maui and we really just wanted to get him showered and cleaned up once we got into town. I called MBR and spoke to Michelle and let her know that we did not have hot water that evening and was told that there was nothing they could do until the morning. I understood that it was late and asked them to please get back to me asap as I was having to boil water to bathe my son as well as disinfect all of his bottles and my breastpump parts. I did not hear back from anyone and it was about noon the next day so I called Michelle again and was told that it was a property issue and multiple units were being effected, not just mine, and that the property maintenance workers were addressing the issue. By that evening we finally had hot water and all was ok. As we departed Lahaina I called MBR and asked Janee if there was a way to remedy this situation as we had been without hot water for 24 hours during our rental period. Janee transferred me to Michelle as she would be the one to handle this type of issue. Michelle did not answer so I left her a message with my concerns and then I never heard back from her. I called again a week later and left another message, still didnt get a call back. Today (12/3/19), I called MBR and Janee answered, with the same explanation that Michelle needed to deal with the request but that she was on another line and could call me back. I was hesitant to get off the phone because of the history of Michelle NEVER calling me back. Surprise surprise, Michelle didnt call me back, but rather Janee did. And this is where it got really really really nasty. Janee then proceeded to give me a run down about what happened during my stay and tell me what my experience at the property was, further telling me that I did in fact have hot water, I just wasnt running the water long enough and that I was told that this was something I needed to do. So, after my husband took a 10-minute cold shower the first night, how much longer should I have let it run Janee?? THEN, Janee tells me that many others at the property contradicted what I said because they had hot water, however, when I initially spoke to Michelle she said the property was aware that there was an issue with hot water in multiple units on the property and they were working to address it??? Furthermore, Janee tells me that it is a final decision as they provided the FACTS to the property owner who denied any remedy for the situation. Wait, so this whole process took place of fact-gathering, exchanges with the property owner, and then back and forth with the property maintenance and a determination was made to NOT remedy the situation and we still NEVER got a call from MBR??? I guess we were supposed to just know that this was all going on??? To top all of this off I began to explain to Janee that I was really concerned that what she was reiterating to me was in fact not what happened and was not the information we initially received and it was at this point that Janee decided that the best route for her to take as a "Customer Service/Vacation Rental Specialist" was to bark at me that it was a final matter and there is nothing else to discuss and then proceed to hang up on me. Needless to say, we wont be using Maui Beachfront Rentals for our future needs while traveling to Maui. read more

We, again, were completely in awe of the Royal Kahana 510 2 bedroom unit this past September. The condo is beautiful and views that are second to none. Anyone wanting direct ocean front where all you see from every angle is ocean, this is the place to stay. The Maui Beachfront team has always has great service setting up our reservations and supporting any questions during our stay. Our party rented Unit # 510 at Royal Kahana. First, to be fair, the views are wonderful. The positive part to this review is now ended. The unit has clearly not been maintained in years. Paint is peeled off the ceiling in Bathroom #2 and #3. The toilet in #2 is not bolted securely to the floor and the tank overflowed in the middle of the night. When we informed the rental agency of this issue, we never received a reply. Furniture is dated and uncomfortable and the kitchen is sporadically furnished, at best. The closet in the Master Bedroom is filled with paint cans as well as medical equipment. I do not want to belabor the issues we found to be below-adequate but, in a nutshell, our recommendation is that this unit should NOT be rented out until, at a bare minimum, Bathroom #2 is completely repaired. We have stayed in multiple sites in West Maui but this unit is absolutely NOT somewhere we could recommend to others - nor would we ever stay here again. DON'T BE MISLED BY THE PHOTOS! We choose NOT to include the entire laundry list of unacceptable items found in Royal Kahana # 510. Sorry. read more

Excellent, professional and ethical management and rentals of West Maui vacation properties, delivered with an abundance of Aloha! Whether you own a condo and are looking for someone to manage it or planning a Maui vacation and need a place to stay and want your vacation handled right, Maui Beachfront Rentals is the place to call! We, primarily, used their management services (though they have found us a place to stay in a pinch so I can attest to their excellence in both functions.) As a management company, MBR, FAR exceeded our expectations, keeping our condo rented, essentially full time....a day here and there between bookings, but rarely two together. In fact, if we were quick and didn't plan far enough ahead, we'd miss our OWN vacation visits! The staff is efficient, friendly, and communication is prompt and specific. There was never any question that they were OUR agents! Their management agreement is one of the most reasonable in the business and they offer, and encourage renters to purchase, an extremely reasonable damage insurance policy that provides protection for both owner and visitor. I highly recommend that you call Maui BeachFront Rentals if you are looking for a management company. And, As an owner, I strongly suggest that you let THEM do the managing for you! Especially if you are off island. Just the occupancy rate pays for the service: the peace of mind is a bonus! read more

Our experience with using Maui Beachfront Rental was disgusting and unacceptable! Once they have your money , they forget about you. The ONLY POSITIVE thing we have to say is Robin, their maintenance person was the only one who we were able to reach AFTER DAYS of trying to reach the office via telephone and email after checking in. On arrival to room 1061 in the Whaler Condos , we had to sleep ON TOP of the bedding for days as the sheets were stained with URINE, and BLOOD and COFFEE. After numerous calls, VM's and 1 email , we were FINALLY able to reach Robin who assisted us. The owner, JOHN and his staff Beverly continuously Blamed their lack of attention to the fact they are " short staffed." This was not our problem after spending thousands of dollars to have a vacation at their rental property. They did not refund us even the cleaning fee for the condo which also had dirty dishes in the cupboards and filthy floors. We will never book through MAUI BEACHFRONT RENTALS AGAIN , and advise others to look elsewhere when booking . There are many other options so please choose wisely read more

My two kid's and I stayed at Aina Nalu in Oct '18. Apartment was perfect, was nice to have a full kitchen with all the necessary tools. We really enjoyed the saltwater pool and walking distance to Front street was a huge plus. We will likely stay here again sometime. PS: please sharpen the knives! Kahana Reef Unit 212 was great. It is clean and has a beautiful sunset view. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom closet has boogie boards, beach chairs, and an ice chest for guests. My husband and I stayed in a condo at Kaleialoha for an extended vacation a few weeks ago and enjoyed our stay very much. This is our fifth stay with Kaleialoha and we love the location, ocean view, and all the conveniences of the condo, including Wi-fi, ice machine, washer, dryer, updated kitchen granite, stainless appliances. It is perfect for us as we like the quiet atmosphere. Pool located in front of building so you can escape the sun if you want. Turtles swimming right in front of condo and you can snorkle with them. Kingsize bed is pretty comfortable. If I would change one thing, in our mind, the sofa could be replaced but that is a small negative. All in all we will continue to stay here, for us it is the perfect. read more

This condo was perfect for 6 ladies to get away. The views are amazing as you can see both sunrise and sunset from your lanai. Every morning and evening we watched over a dozen turtles playing in the surf. It is not in a busy part of the island so you can actually relax. We woke up to the sound of birds singing and fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing. We were 15 minutes away from Kihei, 15 minutes from the airport and about 20 minutes to Lahaina. The condo was equipped with everything we needed including boogie boards and an extra snorkel if needed. I can't wait to get back with my family! read more

Our first impression when we walked in the door to our units was "Wow"!! The view from the balconies was breathtaking! We have a large family of 11 so we were happy to find a place online that would accommodate all of us. The same owner had two units at The Maalaea Banyans condos, both with amazing views. Getting settled went very smoothly and there were no issues with the door codes, parking or directions getting there. Both units were clean and had all the necessary basics. The units did look somewhat smaller than the pictures showed but we all had enough space and bonded our family even closer. The wifi worked great. Appliances and water all great. The pool and hot tub were much enjoyed. Our kids snorkelled and swam with the turtles in the ocean right in front of the condos almost every day we were there. These condos are within walking distance to the aquarium and marina where there are a couple restaurants and shops as well. It is however in a very windy area of the island but that is really the only downside we could find. But we were off exploring everyday so the wind wasn't much of an issue anyways. Maui is such an amazing place!! I would highly recommend taking a helicopter tour through Air Maui. Lovely people and incredible experience. Our whole holiday was one of the best family vacations we've ever taken and we would love to return some day. read more

We are currently staying at Alii unit 234. Smells of mold!! The whole place smells of mold but much worse in the master bedroom. Have called to complain and request at the very least an air purifier but after more than 24 hours I have had no response. At this s point I am requesting a refund of remaining nights. We really enjoyed our recent stay at this unit at the Kaanapali Alii in Unit 151. The unit is excellent and just as described on the internet. The kitchen is very well equipped for the best cooks. The main bedroom is large and very comfortable, and our guests enjoyed the second bedroom-den with its private bath. The unit is otherwise clean and comfortable with updated granite countertops. The view is as described and I shot a beautiful picture of the sunset and palm trees from the kitchen window. The Kaanapali Alii is an excellent complex. It is very conveniently located to Whaler's Village, golf courses and Lahaina. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are nicely landscaped and maintained. The grills by the pool are excellent. You will not be disappointed with your stay at this unit or the Kaanapali Alii. read more

The sign up process was very good. However when we checked into our unit at the Whaler (570) the unit had a musty smell, there were only 4 wine classes none of which matched, the sliding glass screen door was ripped, the track in the bathroom shower was not cleaned and had dirt and mode in it, there was black hair in the master bath.(there is more but enough). We had Michelle, the reservation mgr. come to view the unit and she agreed that this unit was a disaster. We than spent the next day finding a new unit with a new management company and found a wonderful new accommodation. A word to the wise be sure you know what you are renting as some of the owner units are very bad and outdated etc. The only good thing was that we were refunded the nights we did not stay at the unit.
