My daughter was on a trip in southern California with friends (we live in Seattle) when a wire came loose and was poking into the side of her cheek. After my wife called several orthodontia offices in the area my daughter was traveling in to see if someone could quickly snip this wire poking into her cheek for her, we couldn't find any takers until we got in touch with Dr. Roth's office. They said "no problem, bring her by". Unfortunately she wasn't able to make it there until the next morning, and by then my daughter had pulled the entire wire out of her braces because it was causing her so much pain. Dr. Roth graciously replaced and reset the wire for my daughter when she arrived and then refused payment from me when I called to try to pay. I'm floored. Kris, who worked with us when we called, was also amazing. Because we live in Seattle, we can't patronize Dr. Roth's office.....but I hope this review can help in some way. Cheers..... read more

Disgenuine. Team could really care less. fail to respond/take responsibility. I went into Dr. Roth's office as a child to get braces and I will say-he did a great job. I remember always feeling uncomfortable however in the chair while he was working on my teeth but I really had little choice in the matter. It's a job I can understand, but still my teeth. They turned out well so I will say his skills are good. This is why I returned to his office as an adult. Unfortunately I was met with disrespect and failure to take responsibility for a poor product I could not use at all. HOWEVER I am now an adult and I returned to the office to get a replacement retainer. The staff was polite at first but unfortunately I paid on my first visit before my retainer was completed. I was heading out to complete my Masters' degree in China. My retainer did not fit properly and the team really could care less. Dr. Roth offered to send it back but he honestly did not really care. I felt pressured to take the retainer even though it did not fit properly. I contacted to office the following morning. I could not wear the retainer it caused me pain and was of no use to me. THE OFFICE NEVER RESPONDED OR REFUNDED ME. How insulting. I am an adult and to them this is quick cash, while to me I am currently taking leave from work so I essentially burned $300 which is no small sum for someone on a budget. I will try to contact the office again since I am on vacation before I return to China. I cannot use the retainer they gave me at all and need a new one. Ridiculous. This is a waste of my time and money. Really all they had to do was respond, help me replace it with one that actually fits, or give me my money back so I can pay it to someone who actually could care about the fact that these are my teeth-small task for them, but for me I live with these teeth everyday. Let's see what happens. They are knowledgeable for sure, but this was an extremely poor experience for me-I specifically created an account to write this review. Dr. Roth is a star. We went to him today August 29th 2019. My son had a loose wire and we called Dr. Roth. Christy called him and he right way agreed to come and save my son from his inconvenience of having a loose wire in his mouth. Our visit was very pleasant , he took extra time to explain what is the issue with the wire and also to look what is my son's overall condition after wearing the wire for 9 months. I have been taking him to UCLA the school of dentistry in their Ortho department . The treatment was fair but it wasn't the best. After consulting with Dr. Roth I decided to switch and continue our treatment with him, which I was looking to do in the first place , because the distance between Agoura Hills and Westwood is painful especially in the afternoons . My son finishes school at 3pm so you get the pic. Anyway, the distance was the reason we were looking for a local Orthodontist, the wire came off just in time to save me from the crazy traffic. I can't tell you enough how happy we are we found Dr. Roth. I highly recommend him and his knowledge and expertise. Hope this helps. read more

I'll preface this review by stating that I consulted with more than 7 highly reputable orthodontists in the San Fernando Valley before ultimately selecting Dr. Roth. In my opinion, Dr. Roth is the best orthodontist in the San Fernando Valley, if not the greater Los Angeles area, when all aspects of orthodontic treatment are considered. He has vast knowledge, terrific interpersonal skills, proficient orthodontic assistants, and a very relaxed office environment. Dr. Roth is also a very friendly, jovial, and kindhearted person, and really brightens the mood in the office. When selecting an orthodontist, it's also very important to consider the orthodontist's personality, as you will be seeing him or her for quite some time. I'm the type of person who will research extensively before I make a significant investment. In writing this review, I hope to save you time by simply referring you to Dr. Roth for any type of orthodontic treatment, because I am one of few individuals who consulted with many highly-regarded orthodontists in the area and found Dr. Roth to be the best among his colleagues. I was referred to Dr. Roth by a close friend after I interviewed many orthodontists, but felt uncomfortable with much of them for a variety of reasons. In fact, one orthodontist dismissed me by informing me my class 3 malocclusion (under bite) would require invasive and expensive jaw surgery, which turned me off to say the least. Shortly after, I met Dr. Roth and he was not only surprised by the aforementioned doctor's opinion, but he also told me he was confident he could transform my bite into a great smile. This experience taught me that it is exceedingly important to perform due diligence when selecting a doctor for any type of medical treatment. Not all doctors are the same by virtue of their academic qualifications; some like Dr. Roth are ahead significantly. Dr. Roth embraces contemporary technology in his practice, which I appreciate greatly. In particular, Dr. Roth's use of the Damon system braces makes treatment considerably easier than conventional braces. Among my peers, I was the last to get braces. My friends were continually shocked whenever I told them that Dr. Roth's adjustments did not cause pain - I consider this a testament to the technology of the braces as well as Dr. Roth's tremendous skill as an orthodontist. As Dr. Roth mentioned the first time I met him, anybody not using Damon braces, or a variation of it (self-ligating braces is the official term) is really behind the game because such braces offer too many benefits for the patients (less frequent appointments, relatively little to no pain, easier to clean, smaller brackets, no need for individual rubber around each individual bracket, etc.). In my opinion, any orthodontist who does not utilize self-ligating braces like Damon should be removed from consideration by patients, because the benefits are simply too great. Additionally, despite using these advanced braces, Dr. Roth's prices are more than fair. In fact, among all the orthodontists I consulted with before selecting Dr. Roth, he was the second most cost-effective. Much to my surprise, several other orthodontists in the area wanted to charge me an astronomical amount of money for my treatment (and they were not even using the advanced and more expensive Damon braces like Dr. Roth does). Furthermore, unlike many orthodontists in the area who similarly embrace Damon braces, Dr. Roth will not upcharge you $500+ for selecting clear brackets in lieu of metal brackets (or a combination of both). In other words, Dr. Roth will not punish you for being a little self-conscious about your braces. Dr. Roth's attention to detail is pristine, and he really takes the time to ensure that your needs are met. He is not only very attentive in the office, but he's also the same way after hours. I found myself emailing Dr. Roth a few times regarding my treatment, and he always responded promptly. Even more, Dr. Roth was more than receptive in answering my plenty questions in the office, and would often delve into the fine details of my treatment. Also, Dr. Roth continues to learn as an orthodontist by keeping up with the new, conventional methods. In my view, it is crucial that doctors continue their education while practicing because the general field of medicine is always evolving. Lastly, some of Dr. Roth's work has been published in esteemed medical journals that are peer reviewed. Put differently, Dr. Roth is the real deal. I cannot recommend Dr. Roth enough for your orthodontic needs. Although my consultations with many orthodontists delayed my treatment by a few months, I would not change anything if given the chance. I am so happy that I waited until I found Dr. Roth, because he is outstanding in every respect as an orthodontist. Indeed, I have no reservations in my belief that Dr. Roth is within the top 5% of his field. read more

I can't recommend Dr Peter Roth enough as an orthodontist. He did my teeth when I was 15 and touched them up again recently. I am in the dental field and I didn't appreciate his work until I saw so many cases that weren't the quality he does. His smiles have a signature look. Like a wow factor. He does a smile arc that is beautiful to the eye because he matches the edges of the upper teeth with the lower lip line. He's a perfectionist and very attentive and personable to work with. I also appreciate that he uses the Damon system instead of an outdated system. He's the best around as far as the cases that come through my chair! So grateful for my smile. Whenever I see a business with all 5-star reviews on Yelp, I become very skeptical. I either think the reviewers are friends with the respective business owners, the business has given some sort of incentive to the reviewers, or the business actively engages in encouraging their customers (or patients, in this case) to leave a positive review. Dr Roth is the BEST orthodontist! I had been taking my 9 year old daughter to another ortho in Agoura. This doctor insisted she needed a palet expander and "stage one" braces on her baby teeth. I took her to Dr Roth for a second opinion. He is very pragmatic, explains things well. We stuck with Dr Roth, she never had a palet expander OR braces on her baby teeth, saving me money and her unnecessary discomfort and years in braces. He explained how we should wait until all of her permenant teeth were in to start treatment. We had multiple pre braces visits at no charge. She had her braces removed at age 13 and her teeth are beautiful!!! I also needed to have braces, had them removed after 8 months and my teeth look wonderful! My bite was off, I had chipped my front teeth, he even put some bonding on them, did an excellent job and no extra charge!
