I can absolutely recommend this tailor. I had spoken to 2 other tailors before committing with Raj for creating my wedding suit. I knew the color and type of fabric I wanted and Raj was very good about giving me fabric options to select from. I also felt comfortable working with Raj because he has experience in the business and answered my questions well. I knew I would be some what challenging because I have an athletic build with large shoulder and skinnier legs so I definitely don't fit into normal 42L store bought suits well but a Raj was confident we could get the fit right. And we did! We discussed many design details and I eventually settled on the following: Peak lapel British suit with a valet ticket pocket and slanted pockets on jacket. I chose a nice English fabric, a textured Nailhead pattern of super 140s quality. I opted for a beautiful gray interior lining and only semi-lined jacket which reduced the weight and warmth of the jacket. For pants I chose a slimmer cut with traditional vented pockets. I also got the custom shirt with a similar nailhead pattern and wide spread collar and French cuffs. Monogrammed. The extra details that come from custom making were great to have. I asked for an interior pen pocket which he accommodated. I had my name added to the interior of the jacket and selected blue detailing on my lapel pin hole and one of the jacket button holes for a little pizaz. I had the lining added to the jacket breast pocket so I could outturn it and use as a pocket square. The process went smoothly. We did a full fitting after our consultation the suit took about 5 weeks to be made. Raj even had me wear my watch to get the cuff width just right on my left arm. There were some things I wanted altered after getting the suit back such as the jacket shoulder and lapel but Raj was accommodating and we sorted through it. The turnaround was another week or 2 afterwards but I expect most people won't require any alteration after the first fitting. Overall it was a good experience and I love the way it turned out. Everyone complimented me on the suit at our wedding and the quality definitely shows. Raj does have a bit of a range in price depending on what you want. I opted for a bit of a higher price point but I think the quality was worth it. Some of the alternative shops I consulted with prior to Peter Raney offered suits at 900-1100 but I didn't feel they were really custom. It was really just a modification of an off the rack suit. Granted this wasn't fully bespoke either but a great balance between custom detailing, fabrics and fit. I will be back next year for another jacket, for sure. Thanks again, Raj! read more

As a lawyer who often does jury trials and is always in court, it's super important for me to have the only the most top notch and best looking suits in the market. I found out about Raj from my law firm partner who swore up and down by him. My first visit to Raj was such a fun experience. While drinking a glass of nice complimentary scotch, I got to customize almost every detail of my suit. I had absolutely no idea how much detail went into suit making beforehand. For the coat I chose a dark grey with thin pin stripes for the outer cloth, a really cool colorful paisley-looking pattern for the inner lining, and purple thread for the coat's top left button hole and cuff button holes for extra flare. I also customized three white shirts where I got to choose the style of the collar, where to place a monogram, and different colors for the monograms. When I picked up my suit and shirts yesterday it was immediately apparent that this is by far the nicest suit I've ever owned, hands down. The fit is also more comfortable than any suit I've ever owned before. I cannot wait to come back and get a 3 pack of more suits.
