My girlfriend was the co-maid of honor at her best friend's wedding. She looked everywhere for a suit including Men's Warehouse, and other suit places, but she could not find one that matched vision she has made for her future suit. It is extremely difficult for my girlfriend to find a suit that will fit her because she has a very large chest and she is curvy. We were highly recommended by some androgynous groups and by one of my best friend's to look into Sharpe Suiting. We went on the website and booked an appointment for a consultation. My girlfriend and I drove in separate cars and arrived at different times during the day of the consult. It was a little confusing for me at first because the building we were asked to go to did not have the name of the company nor did the person at the front know who I was talking about. Luckily, I ran into Leon the founder and he took me to the correct level. Antonio and his coworker were extremely helpful during the consultation with going through how the process worked and the pricing. When we decided that this could work, we booked another appointment. My girlfriend told me that they typically answer emails on Thursdays. Both of our appointments we requested for were Saturdays. During the second appointment , Antonio gave us a large book to look at so my girlfriend could decide how she could customize her buttons, pants, if she wanted loops on her pants for the belt, the inside of the jacket, and etc.. it was such an exciting process for the both of us. Antonio gave his suggestions, but obviously my girlfriend had the final say in what she wanted her suit to look like. We went to a different location in LA for my girlfriend to get fitted. The second time we went there, the entire suit fit perfectly with both her heels and her flats. Overall, Antonio was amazing in explaining to the tailor how my girlfriend wanted her suit and was extremely knowledge about everything. It's expensive, but what do you expect for a customized suit. It really is worth getting a suit from here. I would follow Sharpe suiting on Instagram because they will occasionally have sales that could help you save. I waited to update my previous review because I wanted to see how Sharpe rectified the situation. I must say that Andrew, Oksana and Leon made me priority number one. After being unable to find a suit for my wedding in a few stores, like Men's Wearhouse, Macy's, Nordstrom and Banana Republic (and getting strange looks from some salespeople and customers for being a woman in the men's section), a friend told me about Sharpe Suiting. I cannot emphasize enough what an amazing experience it was to work with Leon, Vanessa and Oksana, and I will absolutely return to buy my next suit. Because I was getting married, my mom wanted to accompany me to my first appointment, and from the moment we walked in the door, everyone was so welcoming, genuine and accommodating. My mom and I both had a very relaxing and positive experience, and it was such a relief not to worry about being judged for shopping for a masculine suit! I wanted a 3 piece suit, and Vanessa walked us through each step of choosing the suit details, from the color of the suit and lining, to the number of button holes, type of buttons, pockets, and accent colors. I also chose a custom shirt, and got to pick the type of cuffs, so I could wear cufflinks. Leon carefully measured me and all of my measurements are saved in their computer program so I can return anytime to have another suit made. After that, I had a few fittings with Oksana, who is an amazing tailor. Oksana made the entire process fun and easy, and she also made my wife's wedding dress. She designed and constructed the entire wedding dress, including in it everything my wife wanted. She also really took the time to get to know both of us, so that she was able to easily make suggestions that made both of our outfits a perfect fit for our bodies as well as our personalities. First off trying to get a appointment is frustrating took me over a week just go get a hold of them. I even went to there location and it's in some office building where your not even allowed to go up and speak to anyone in person. Secondly suits turn around time takes forever. I worked with Sharpe to design a custom 3-piece suit for my wedding. It was an incredible experience. I had so much fun picking out every detail of my suit, down to the buttons! Leon Wu and his staff are incredible. I never felt rushed, i was able to Vanessa ask every question i had, the measurements taken were impeccable and the final tailoring touches by Oksana made for a perfect suit. I'm saving up now to get a second suit, because i've decided that one just isn't enough and i think i'm going to go a little more funky with the liner and details on the next one. If you're a boi, like me, you know how difficult it can be to find flattering menswear: Shirts may fit your shoulders and chest, but the collar's so giant it makes your head look like a pea and when it comes to hips... forget fastening those two or three bottom buttons. TERRIBLE. I went 4 weeks before my wedding and purchased one of the suits to be tailored. I was told that they could tailor how I wanted. After 3 fittings at the shop and 4 days before my wedding, the jacket was not wearable. I could not raise my arms to chest level. I was told that it looks great. I am not sure how I was expected to wear a jacket and hug guests when I couldn't even raise my arms to hug anyone including let alone my bride!! I paid over $800, although Oksana did try to fix it, 48 hours before my wedding I was still restricted so my fiancé hooked me up with a Celebrity stylist who got me a suit in 24 hours and it was everything I wanted. Once I let them know that I would not pick up the suit until after my wedding, I was billed for 3 house visits!! I was never told that I would be billed for their screw up. I even have TEXT messages documenting that I would come into the store but Oksana insisted to come to me. BAD business. Oh and I almost forgot that on one of my fittings I had to sit for over 30 minutes because they were out having coffee and were late for appointment. I learned a HUGE lesson, go to a company with a solid reputation for an important event like your wedding and pay for a good quality suit like I ended up doing in the end! read more
