We stopped in Madison for a break, and after stopping at a red light, I saw some poor person's wheel bound across the intersection. Turns out I was the poor person, and the wheel came off MY trailer, and I mean the tire, the wheel, the brake, and other parts I cannot identify. It was bad. I searched online for trailer repair, called a few places, and the one I could reach (not Gervasi) told me it would be at least 4-6 weeks to order a replacement axle. There are only 2 good months for boating in the Chicago area, and we had plans in two weeks for the boat. We had to get home for work the next day, so we had a tow truck take the trailer+boat to Gervasi, hoping they would be able to fix it quickly. I called them on Monday, pleaded for mercy and to get my boat back in a week. They were pretty backed up, but since they did manufacture axles on site, there was some hope. I am very happy to report that they had the trailer (and boat) ready for pickup the following Saturday, and we even manged to take a spin on the lovely lake in Madison before heading home. The following weekend, we had friends on the boat, and I remained happily married. All thanks to these guys at Gervasi who fixed the trailer that was left at their place, and had the ability make whatever parts other guys had to order. I really appreciated it! The pictures attached are the before pictures. I didn't take any after pictures, sorry. But it was so beautiful to see the boat moving again, trust me!

Precision Automotive Service has earned my business with all my vehicles permanently!!! During a…read moreroutine oil change, I was told by a "big box" automotive establishment that I needed a new wheel bearing on my vehicle along with a new tie rod, which would then mean the car would also need aligned. The quote was nearly $1,000. They also told me I needed a completely new exhaust... $$$! So, only living here in the Madison area a short time and not really knowing many people, I decided to see who else was around. I sent ten yelp requests for an estimate to local auto shops looking to get only the wheel bearing replaced on my car. I received five responses within a few days. Two told me cost with labor would be $500-$650 and two said they really "needed" to get my car in their shops and "up on a lift" to give me a price. The fifth response was Chris from Precision Automotive. Chris responded right away within a few hours, and a full day before the others, with a detailed estimate of the repair which would get me out the door for almost half what the other two quoted me! So, there's no doubt where I chose. Upon leaving my car, I asked Chris to take a look at my tie rods and my exhaust. Not only did Precision live up to their quote, they told me that my tie rod was completely fine and did not need replaced and that an alignment was not necessary, only misdiagnosed due to the bearing being bad and the inexperience of proper diagnosis. Chris also told me that I didn't need a complete exhaust replacement, only that the pipe before my muffler had a hole in it and that was all that needed replaced and could be done for a tiny fraction of what I was quoted. So, not only did Precision get me out the door for nearly half the next best quote, they saved me from three unnecessary repairs! And not only did they do that, they got me to work (twenty minutes away) and back by lunch with the repair completed and my car ready to go! Before I drove away, I asked for a quote on a new front control arm needed for my mini-van and Chris, without hesitation, quoted me half what I was told at another locally owned auto shop! As I drove away, I noticed that my car wasn't making any grinding noises, the steering wheel wasn't vibrating and had no additional play, and my car wasn't pulling to the side when I broke! My car drove perfectly again. Precision went above and beyond, not only with pricing and a sound repair, but with customer service and honesty. They have earned my business and my loyalty. Moral of the story... I won't take my cars anywhere else again, and I absolutely and very highly recommend them for any service you need on yours!
