My favorite go to store when I am looking to buy higher end quality kitchenware for my home or family as a gift. The store carries a wide selection of cookware, kitchen tools, cutlery, coffee machines, cutlery, bakeware and the list goes on and on. As cooking at home is a passion for me and having the right quality tools is an absolute must, the stuff I buy here I view as an investment where I am looking for good performance that will hopefully last a lifetime which justifies/warrants the premium you will pay at this store. For my most recent purchase here I ended up buying a 4 qt Staub Basil colored dutch oven here to add to my home cookware where I already own multiple cookware/bakeware of this brand also purchased from this store. I took advantage of Staubs year end sale where Williams and Sonoma had the color I was after (Basil). where it was not even available on Staubs web site due to the popularity of the color. Also Staubs on line sale price were for factory seconds (small blemish or possible small chip) and the one I got had no such defects. Nice! Overall if quality kitchenware/cookware is the overriding factor for you, than Williams Sonoma is exactly the store you should be shopping at. Top brands and top quality put this store in a different category than most where discerning customers/home cooks like me will appreciate what they have to offer. read more

I found a table runner online that I wanted to gift my Thanksgiving hostess but needed to pick up in store for timeliness. I Love going into this store because they have such gorgeous tableware on display, so many lovely baking things (I'm a sucker for different Bundt pans) and numerous drink mixes, cake mixes, sweet treats, spices, and cocoas. The staff are always very knowledgeable and helpful. If you love to cook, host or entertain, or need a special gift for someone who does, I highly recommend browsing in W & S. Normally when I shop or buy anything at a Williams Sonoma store it is very good quality. Even there non kitchen supplies are also very tasty and deserve a kudos . As my friends know I can be fair but critical of food and love my sweets. So I have to write this as my friends and myself were moderately impressed in the Williams Sonoma Blueberry Muffin mix . In short it was 7 of 10 overall. It's a very dense muffin and the berries were a 6 of 10. I would suggest adding some fresh berries as the ones in the mix were a bit chewy. I suggest smaller berries as they may be better due to tasting chewy and a bit to firm. We followed the instructions on the package to perfection and it was very easy so for a fast muffin mix this is a good replacement for homemade if time is a factor Until next time ... read more

My husband and I got married a few months ago and used Williams-Sonoma for our registry. In general the process of registering was easy and our very generous friends and family really did get us some lovely things. Unfortunately a few of those items were duplicates so I went to Williams-Sonoma to do a return, that's where things went a little sour. Now, my next rant is no reflection on this particular WS store. These folks are great and I will get to why shortly. But if I had to give WS itself a star rating on their return policy it would barely be a 2. You see, anything purchased online has to be mailed back to their processing center and from their they send you a merchandise credit back (or refund your form of payment if you purchased the item yourself). They just can't process any online purchase returns in the store. You can take the items to a store but they only start the return and send it to the center who handles the rest. From start to finish this can take on average 1-2 weeks. So that's annoying in and of itself (I mean, it's 2015. Most people shop online so to have that convoluted of a system is just behind the times) but when it breaks down? Good luck! It's hard to get any help from corporate customer service. You see, the processing center lost my return. After 3+ weeks and still no credit I called their customer service line and spoke two two people. One who, after 15 minutes of trying to explain the situation, yelled at me and insinuated I was not giving her the right information (I subsequently hung up on her). The other who, when I explained the situation, paused and said, "well, I don't even know how I would look that up." My phone then gratefully dropped the call so I didn't have to hang up myself. I then called the store where I had started the return, Williams-Sonoma at Twelve Oaks, and explained my situation. From there two really awesome managers (Lisa and Yvonne) helped me get everything sorted. It took another week or so of them hunting down the shipments, speaking to people in the processing center, etc. But in the end they figured it out. And not only did they figure it out but they called me frequently with updates and kept me posted on the progress every step of the way. And finally, a month after this whole process began, a beautiful merchandise credit showed up in my mail. And I took it back to the store and bought stuff. Because even though their corporate return policy is a pain in the ass their stuff rules and the staff at this store rule even harder. So, 2 stars for your dumb return policy, Williams-Sonoma! But 5 stars for your awesome store employees who went above and beyond to get this fixed for me. read more

I am very disappointed in my service today. I had bought defective steak knives as a Xmas present,and 2 weeks ago was told they couldn't find a sku # , couldn't do anything w/o a receipt. I found the receipt and went back today and they said it was past the return date. Ok. It was the sales person that made me feel like I was pulling one over on her that bothered me even after showing her the defects.Totally unapologetic for my inconvenience . Do NOT order anything from this company online. I ordered trash bags on 10/20 with a delivery date of 11/3. During this time, no order notifications were sent to keep me updated on the status of the order. On 11/3, I receive an email saying that the order will actually take another two weeks to fill/arrive. Called customer service to cancel the order and they said "sorry there's no way we can do that." Are you kidding me? What an absolutely HORRIBLE experience that guarantees I will never buy another thing from Williams Sonoma. read more

Any cook or chef, professional or newbie, has at least heard of Williams Sonoma. This particular store at 12 Oaks Mall is quite a bit smaller than the one at Somerset Collection, however, the customer service and overall experience is just as good, in my humble opinion. The staff is very helpful without being pushy. They know their product, which is a must for me when I am buying a 200 dollar pan, because I usually have lots of questions that need to be answered. I bought a new knife at this store yesterday and the person who helped me was an actual chef, (he was wearing a chef coat anyways). He helped me choose the perfect knife for my collection. I just walked into the store to decide if I "needed" anything for Thanksgiving. I was hounded by the staff on the floor while I wandered around looking. I appreciate trying to help but I felt like I wasn't supposed to be just looking . When I was finished and brought my purchases to the register (where no one was waiting) I was ushered back to stand under empty line sign and again the rude staff explained that when they were busy they need to use the sign. Williams Sonoma is the dream store for bakers and cooks, but it is often quite busy and difficult to navigate. However, once I corner my own sales associate, I get wonderful customer service. Most recently I called in an order, and the manager (Mariscey) helped me over the phone with a difficult to find item, gave me all rebate information, and directed me to WS package pick-up! So, I was good to go without having to park during the busy holiday - THAT is what I call awesome service. The people who work here are very knowledgeable, and also know which companies will not allow discounts on their products, so you don't have to worry about shopping around to find the best price. Don't ever purchase anything from this store with gift cards cuz not only will you not receive the said item(s) they will give you hell to get your gift cards back! $700 worth of gift cards with no items to show for it! Not to mention their awful customer service and terrible attitudes every single time in the last month I've had to call to resolve this issue. My husband has since taken over trying to deal with them because clearly me being a woman got me no where with them! (Awesome) the managers have no flipping clue what they're doing and none of the 4 of them (that's right only 4) ever communicate amongst themselves on issues! I would think an unhappy customer who has spend thousands with their company would be a priority with a missing $700 dollar order! But no every time I had to call I got a RUDE employee on the phone telling me "they were super busy in the store" and in other words too bad for me! Literally disgusted with this store! read more
