Yesterday was my first visit to Peterson Periodontics to see Dr. Peterson as a referral from my dentist for peridontal treatment and tooth extraction with implant consult. My husband drove me to my appt and we got a bit lost so I called to get directions and Brenna answered the phone, she couldn't have been nicer. Turns out we weren't lost just about a block or so away but Brenna said she'd stay on the phone until she was sure we got to the office okay, talk about a great first impression! Also, turns out Brenna was the person I spoke with when I made this appt, she is a definite asset to this dental practice. The moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile by one of the receptionists. The waiting area was very clean, tidy and comfortable. My wait time to br called back was minimal which was nice. Dr. Peterson's assistant was very pleasant and professional and I wish I could remember her name, I know it started with a 'J' I think it was Juliana but I may be mistaken. She brought me to one of the exam rooms which was very clean and orderly and then she took some scans of my teeth and was great at explaining each step as she went along. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Peterson entered the room. He introduced himself to my husband and I with a smile, a warm greeting and friendly handshake. This put me right at ease as I was nervous about this appt. Dr. Peterson did a thorough physical exam and assessment of my mouth, teeth and gums and reviewed my scans of my teeth. When he was done he proceeded to explain a plan of action for treatinng my peridontal disease and my tooth extraction with implant. I found him to be very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and he answered all of my questions so I had a clear understandimg of what to expect moving forward. Then I was escorted to another room, the billing department, where I met with Leslie. Leslie greeted my husband and I with a smile and her warm, energetic, bubbly, yet professional, personality immediately got my attention, I was quite impressed and I don't get impressed easily. Per Dr. Peterson's advisement on procedures that needed to be done, Leslie presented me with a comprehensive list along with the cost of each. I was pleased to know that I had a say as to how to proceed with my dental care in terms of the pros and cons of each procedure. The amount quoted as to what I would pay out of pocket was a bit more than I could afford but I was pleased to know that financing was an option for me where I could pay monthly for 24 months with no interest and the payments were very doable/affordable. Leslie was thorough in explaining everything she also made my follow-up appt along with giving me instructions as to how to prepare before and after this appt. I cannot express enough just how much I appreciated Dr. Peterson and his staff. They made me feel right at ease for an otherwise stressful situation.
