I believe - this is not accidental as it perpetuates the insurance coverage confusion. 3) Dr. Dasari does not accept secondary insurance along with your primary insurance. He only accepts supplementary insurance with your primary insurance. This is not disclosed on the website. 4) Be 100% sure what type of insurance(s) and coverage you have -get with his office manager before you waste time making & going to an appointment. The last thing you need is finding out your insurance(s) are not accepted by his office. 5) The reps who you will be "playing phone tag" with are either not up to speed with insurance coverage details or are not willing to disclose them. Remember, they are really people who are there to close the deal (sales people). They only do what the doctor instructs them to do. Bottom line: When a doctor only accepts Supplementary Insurance they end up with more $ in their pocket and the patient ends up with more out of their pocket (expenses). *My suggestion: move on to a doctor who clearly advertises the insurance they accept. This doctor immediately referred Peter to Dr. Frank Nemec. Since we didn't know either doctor, we were quite apprehensive and uneasy but also, Peter never had nor wanted a colonoscopy, especially now at 80. Living in So CA for decades, our medical care came from UCLA only. This was so very scary. So at 11a on Thu, a referral was sent to Dr. Nemec's office and two hours later, Peter had an appointment scheduled for the next day. Dr.'s entire staff was so professional, nice, and caring. We were pleasantly shocked. After a very brief wait, Dr. Nemec came into the room with his assistant and his amazing energy embraced us. I am still in awe of how he 'knew' everything about my husband's case (without referring to notes or a computer). His calming, nurturing presence made us both feel totally at ease immediately. It felt as though we were having a chat with our good friend. Dr. N.'s 'chairside manner' instantly turned our fear and trepidation into assured eagerness to get the procedures done. After an easy-to-comprehend explanation of what was to come, Dr. walked us out to the scheduling desk. As I wheeled Peter to the car I said, "Where did HE come from? Peter, I feel so at ease and confident with Dr. Nemec. Matter of fact, I may schedule my first colonoscopy." Peter felt as if a looming black cloud had passed. Prior to procedure day, I called the office twice with questions and Andriana, who answered the phone, knew most of the answers right away and put me on hold to check one bit. She was so kind, patient, and definitely knowledgeable. She really cares. At the Ambulatory Surgery Center of So NV on procedure day, we were nervous in unknown territory. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly with a smile and check-in was seamless. Again, simply great energy. Peter didn't feel as if he was just a number and we both really felt all would be OK. When Jenny, Peter's nurse came to take us back, she was so calming, cordial, and nice. We then met Sissy, the Anesthesiologist who was extremely professional and so friendly. All was explained and quickly Peter was wheeled away. Shortly thereafter, a nurse came to take me back to Recovery. All went very well and Peter's aftercare was very attentive. Very soon, Dr. Nemec came in to our cubicle and explained his findings and very patiently answered all our questions. Both Peter and I expressed our heartfelt gratitude to him. Two days later, I called with a question and Nurse Kelly, who was on top of everything, went out of her way to assist me in such an understanding manner. Dr.'s entire, cohesive TEAM truly love their jobs and care about their patients. We believe that comes directly from the top. Dr. Nemec's comprehensive medical expertise and his compassionate giving heart are such a gift to many. He truly is our Earth Angel.

I saw Dr Dewan since I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2017 until 2025. I never had any…read moreissues with him as a doctor when I was still attending my appointments with my mom, but after I turned 18, I started attending my appointments alone, scheduling, paying, and doing basically everything on my own. I have had several issues with his office:e 1. being hard to reach, and 2. not having the best responses to issues I had. In 2025, I received a call from their office telling me that I had a balance on my account of over $1000, and I needed to pay the balance before attending my appointment (which was coming up in a few days). I called back and told them that my insurance handles the cost of appointments, and I have never had to pay anything out of pocket. To which they said that they were having issues with billing the "right insurance company" and said that I had two on file. When I turned 18, I was dropped from one of my insurances and began to only have one. This has never been an issue, considering I dropped the second insurance nearly 3 years ago. So why was it a problem now? I have no idea. What I did not appreciate was the office's lack of help during this situation, considering it was not my fault. They told me that they could not fill any prescriptions while a balance was on my account, which is fair, but they were not contacting my insurance. I spent all day back and forth on the phone with 1. my ONLY insurance company, 2. the doctor's office, and 3. the doctor's office's billing department. After a full day of calling, they told me that the issue was fixed and that I should be able to go to my appointment. I showed up for my appointment, and one of the receptionists told me that I could not see the doctor because of a balance on my account. After driving 45 minutes for my appointment, after being told the problem was fixed. Then they expected me to pay a $50 cancellation fee if I wasn't going to see the doctor. I refused and left. The issue was later resolved, my doing, not the doctors. And I continued my visits for about a month. UNTIL I called to get a prescription refill, and they told me that their office no longer accepts my insurance, and that I would need to find a new doctor. I told them that I was low on insulin, as to why I was calling in a refill, and asked if they could refill it one last time, so I have medication while beginning the search for a new endocrinologist. I have always been very nice and understanding to this staff, but this was frustrating in words I can't explain. They told me NO and that there was nothing they could do. No call notifying me that they were dropping my insurance, to give me time to find a new doctor before running out. I HAD TO CALL THEM TO FIND OUT. Which is what is so frustrating to me. Most receptionists don't care about the patients, but especially not in this office. I had to go without an insulin refill and frantically search old purses to find insulin. The search for a new doctor took about a week. Full of tears and anger, which could have all been avoided with some communication from this office. I am incredibly frustrated, still, with the way I have been treated, and I wasn't going to write this review, but if I can help someone steer away from this office, I can sleep better at night. I found a new doctor, whom I LOVE, and my A1C is down from a 9 to a 6. I can confidently say that this was for the better. Overall, I liked Dr Dewan as a doctor besides: A joke referring to himself as my "Sugar Daddy" while alone in an office with him, and asked me numerous times if I "had a boyfriend yet" while again, being just he and I in the room. I also feel like he did me a disservice as a doctor, and I recommend finding one that listens to your concerns and helps you by learning YOU and what you need. I've always had a gut feeling about him and would feel anxious going to my appointments. I can say that some of this anxiousness was because I was a child, but not all of it. I have always wanted a woman doctor, and I now have no anxiety going to my new doctor, and I can only chalk that up to my experience in this doctor's office.

We saw very good reviews on Google Maps and were optimistic about seeing Dr. LaBuz, but he might…read morehave too many patients in his DPC practice or he might have something distracting his attention, because it was truly difficult to get him to give more than a few minutes of attention to us, even during scheduled appointments. I think he was significantly late to every appointment we ever had with him (like more than 20 minutes late to a 15-min appointment) and in many cases we had to contact the front desk to get him to respond, and they said he had forgotten or not marked the appointment on his calendar. He said that DPC is supposed to be good for complex medical situations, but in practice, he would only listen to us briefly before concluding what test we should get and then talking about that test a lot. He was not good at listening to us and it felt so difficult to get even a few sentences out around him. One time I even booked two appointments (one for me one for my husband) to TRY to have enough time for him to listen to something complicated that I felt was threatening my heart health, and still got shut down and not listened to and just told to rebook in a few weeks for more so-called "care." He was also not the best about refills, referrals, etc. often had to follow up a lot. I felt the doctor was failing to get an understanding of our health histories and was instead just listening barely long enough to suggest a test and then that's all he wanted to talk about. for example: my husband: I've been having fatigue dr.: (no questions about when it started or what it was like) you should get a sleep study! my husband: well, i'm not sure (not thinking sleep apnea was likely explanation, given the other details about the fatigue history) dr.: you can do a sleep study at home these days! Additionally, the nurse/phlebotomist seemed very inexperienced and severely injured me while doing the blood draw. She also mishandled the blood sample, so one of the tests we paid for was voided and had no result, because it had been exposed to too much light. I had constant low-grade pain in my arm for months after her blood draw, because she must have damaged my muscle or nerve with the needle and wouldn't take it out when I said it was more painful than any blood draw I'd ever had (she just said "you're overthinking it, just breathe."). I wish I had ripped the needle out, because I've had dozens of blood draws and I know what they normally feel like, even when they're a little painful, and this was not normal. I was hoping for better but this DPC did not turn out to be what we needed. We found someone better through recommendations on r/vegaslocals.
