We absolutely love Dr. Dewan! My child feels very comfortable with him, which means so much to us as parents. He is incredibly thorough, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen to all our concerns. Every visit, he makes sure everything is fully explained and addressed without making us feel rushed. Dr. Dewan is not only knowledgeable but also very kind, friendly, approachable, and very caring especially with kids. He goes above and beyond in caring for my child's medical needs, and you can really tell he genuinely cares about his patients. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful doctor. I saw Dr Dewan since I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2017 until 2025. I never had any issues with him as a doctor when I was still attending my appointments with my mom, but after I turned 18, I started attending my appointments alone, scheduling, paying, and doing basically everything on my own. I have had several issues with his office:e 1. being hard to reach, and 2. not having the best responses to issues I had. In 2025, I received a call from their office telling me that I had a balance on my account of over $1000, and I needed to pay the balance before attending my appointment (which was coming up in a few days). I called back and told them that my insurance handles the cost of appointments, and I have never had to pay anything out of pocket. To which they said that they were having issues with billing the "right insurance company" and said that I had two on file. When I turned 18, I was dropped from one of my insurances and began to only have one. This has never been an issue, considering I dropped the second insurance nearly 3 years ago. So why was it a problem now? I have no idea. What I did not appreciate was the office's lack of help during this situation, considering it was not my fault. They told me that they could not fill any prescriptions while a balance was on my account, which is fair, but they were not contacting my insurance. I spent all day back and forth on the phone with 1. my ONLY insurance company, 2. the doctor's office, and 3. the doctor's office's billing department. After a full day of calling, they told me that the issue was fixed and that I should be able to go to my appointment. I showed up for my appointment, and one of the receptionists told me that I could not see the doctor because of a balance on my account. After driving 45 minutes for my appointment, after being told the problem was fixed. Then they expected me to pay a $50 cancellation fee if I wasn't going to see the doctor. I refused and left. The issue was later resolved, my doing, not the doctors. And I continued my visits for about a month. UNTIL I called to get a prescription refill, and they told me that their office no longer accepts my insurance, and that I would need to find a new doctor. I told them that I was low on insulin, as to why I was calling in a refill, and asked if they could refill it one last time, so I have medication while beginning the search for a new endocrinologist. I have always been very nice and understanding to this staff, but this was frustrating in words I can't explain. They told me NO and that there was nothing they could do. No call notifying me that they were dropping my insurance, to give me time to find a new doctor before running out. I HAD TO CALL THEM TO FIND OUT. Which is what is so frustrating to me. Most receptionists don't care about the patients, but especially not in this office. I had to go without an insulin refill and frantically search old purses to find insulin. The search for a new doctor took about a week. Full of tears and anger, which could have all been avoided with some communication from this office. I am incredibly frustrated, still, with the way I have been treated, and I wasn't going to write this review, but if I can help someone steer away from this office, I can sleep better at night. I found a new doctor, whom I LOVE, and my A1C is down from a 9 to a 6. I can confidently say that this was for the better. Overall, I liked Dr Dewan as a doctor besides: A joke referring to himself as my "Sugar Daddy" while alone in an office with him, and asked me numerous times if I "had a boyfriend yet" while again, being just he and I in the room. I also feel like he did me a disservice as a doctor, and I recommend finding one that listens to your concerns and helps you by learning YOU and what you need. I've always had a gut feeling about him and would feel anxious going to my appointments. I can say that some of this anxiousness was because I was a child, but not all of it. I have always wanted a woman doctor, and I now have no anxiety going to my new doctor, and I can only chalk that up to my experience in this doctor's office. read more

Incompetent staff. Once you have left the office they can't get off their butts to even submit a prior authorization. They don't care if your child is out of meds, they will take their sweet a$$ time to do anything. They also will act like you've never talked to them and act stupid like it hasn't gone on for a month. Nicole should never work with people! read more

The worst pediatric endo in the valley. Not only is Dr. Dewan awful (and not great with children), but his staff is as well. Dr. Dewan has made my daughter cry during appointments multiple times, affected her self esteem and has generally just been generally horrible. I've spoken with multiple parents of children (teenagers especially) who have had similar experiences with this office. Worst ever. One star is too much. Completely uncaring - has left me in tears at CVS, desperately waiting for him to call in an overdue refill for insulin and it never happened. He couldn't be bothered to timely refill my son's lifesaving medication. After years of suffering him, his office and staff, we decided to take our son to UCLA for treatment. I see my previous review on The Peds page is gone now that Dr Dewan is no longer affiliated with them. Unfortunately it's the same crappy staff!! We moved and we thought if we brought the prescription info to the new doctor it would be enough, but he won't see my son until the records are transferred. We called Dr Dewan's office and let them know he was low on insulin and needed this done ASAP. Well they won't call in a refill since he hasn't been seen, and they procrastinated so long he ran out of insulin. We called them again and it turns out they don't care. No insulin! No records faxed! So his new doctor won't see him, and his old doctor's staff won't cooperate. We have to go to quick care to get his insulin!! We love Dr Dewan and it's a shame he doesn't get better staff. read more

We went back for another appointment. Like him or hate him it makes no difference since he is only one of two pediatric endos in town. The third visit went much better than the first two (Initial appointment and lab results appointment). My son will need growth hormone and Dr. Dewan was willing to help me get the growth hormone for him. We are currently battling the insurance to get the medication approved. I was very impressed that he has been so willing to help and fight to get my son the growth hormone medication he needs to help treat other medical issues. One major issue to be forewarned. The waiting room in the lobby is SMALL. Also, even though he is a PEDIATRIC endocrinologist, the waiting room is NOT designed for children. Make sure you bring something to keep the kids entertained while you wait in the lobby. read more

We love Dr. Dewan! Both of my kids see him for Type 1 Diabetes. My son was diagnosed at 2 and a half and he made me feel so comfortable and capable. I was scared to death and he was so helpful and reassuring. He knows me kids by name, jokes around with them and makes them feel like they matter. He can be a little forward and to the point but I appreciate that. I don't need him sugar coating anything when it comes to my kids treatment. I've never had issues with the office staff, they've always been extremely helpful and kind. It is hard to get someone to answer the phone but the office uses an app called Twistle and I find it's much easier to get ahold of someone that way. read more

I have been calling them and leaving messages because my daughter needed refills since her last appointment 3 months ago. They're phone system sucks. And they have the nerve to have me go in for follow up again in order for a new refill. Isn't that why we were there 3 months ago? Very beautiful and ritzy office, probably the fanciest I've been to in Las Vegas, but the ladies at the front desk have NO personality at all. They look miserable and will hardly speak to you. Just very unfriendly. My son had some abnormal blood tests at the pediatrician which is what landed us here to begin with. A nurse comes in the room and doesn't explain what these results mean to us. It seemed like her whole role was to give a lengthy lecture to my son about his need to eat less and exercise more. It would've been nice if she'd explained more about the abnormal results instead of treating us like we're stupid. Dr. Dewan must've had a bad day because he spent very little time with us and seemed completely unhappy about being there. Not one of the nicest doctors I've ever met. It took us a long time to get this appointment, another woman here said her appointment was made two months ago. We are here with about four others that were scheduled today. There is no access to the third floor, the elevator will not go up past the second floor and the door up the stairs to the third floor is locked. No answer on the phone except to the answering service. They've tried contacting the doctor as well with no luck. How do we charge the doctor for missing the appointment that they are so quick to do when we miss? This is utterly ridiculous! read more

Arrived at the office and was amazed at how clean and zen the space looked. They have a tech sitting right by the elevator to check temperatures. More organized than any other doctors office I have been to. Dr . Dewan is practicing telemedicine right now. This way he will not pass any bugs to anyone. 1. Dr. Dewan kept us waiting for 1.5 hrs. 2. Came in with the incorrect chart and began speaking about another patient 3. Said he didn't have blood work, then found it 4. Gave my daughter 3 different meds. One medicine (Metformin ) was for diabetes but she was diagnosed with thyroid disease. This medicine caused her dizziness and blackouts. One medicine was such a high dose of vitamin D that it caused her to constantly have to urinate. Her pediatrician told her to immediately stop this vitamin and very high amounts were shown after her blood work. The last one was a thyroid medication. 5. When I called after she was having these symptoms I was told to keep her on the meds. for 3 weeks. I then had to explain that it had been 3 weeks. Then I was told simply to stop the Metformin. Both her gynecologist and pediatrician were shocked that she was put on this medication. Even after calling about the symptoms, there was never any follow up to check on her. This was an awful experience, and I have switched doctors. 6. Lastly, when I call to have her records transferred, they never bothered to ask why. I thought that was quite telling. read more

If I could give this man 10 stars, I would. My son was unexpectedly admitted to the ER on a Tuesday night at 5:00 PM. We had a diagnosis by 5:30 PM. By 7:00 PM Dr Dewan was there with a goodie bag, if you will, of items that we would be incorporating into our daily lives. We were in a scary situation but his good and lighthearted nature eased Mom and Dad's apprehension immediately. He then came to visit us everyday that we were in the hospital. After we were discharged, he instructed us to call him every night at dinner time to go over our day, until he tells us to stop. This is a man who I'm sure puts in long hours at the office, who has a wife and kids but he still is truly concerned about his patients wellbeing and understands that this is a 24/7 job. It is so rare to find a medical provider like Dr Dewan. Even before we left the hospital my insurance company was balking at one of the prescriptions that was given. They needed a pre-auth from Dr Dewan. They sent that over immediately and we were able to pick up the script in a timely manner. I waited to write this review until we visited his actual office because I'm a true believer that a Doctor is only as good as his medical staff. My first encounter with Maria was a pleasant one. She was able to send me our new patient paperwork (literally while we were still on the phone together) so that we could fill them out beforehand. Once we got to the office she was able to fill out our FMLA paperwork while we were checking in. We did have to pay $30 for them to be filled out on top of our office visit co-pay. I grumbled a bit in my head but hey, nothing is free in life. The man who took is back was competent and was able to get height,weight and blood pressure on my son (he likes to give strangers a hard time). We were given an app invite so that we can communicate with him 24/7. I can't wait to get that up and running. He said even if we just wanted to send him a picture of us in Hawaii we can. It's not just for medical questions :) We were seen at our appointment time. That is a rarity for the middle of the day. You can't go wrong with Dr Dewan. Great guy and great staff! Dr Dewan is he best. He's done the work to motivate my daughter to take ownership of her ailment, better than my wife or I ever could have, and I believe when she looks back she'll recognize him as one of the most influential people in her life. It makes such a difference when a doctor develops a relationship with his patient and understands them enough to know how to motivate them. He even took the time to recommend a geometry tutor for my daughter and I think one of the happiest moments of her life was when she completed her first proof! I highly recommend him. read more

Asheesh is an alright man. In the other reviews, I see that he is good with children but I'm not so sure about adolescents. Communicating with him was a bit awkward, he's quick to assume and seemed conceited based on my visits with him. I sometimes dreaded entering his office and was anxious about what he was going to say next in front of my parent. He is blunt with his words and very straight to the point. I do understand that he cares, at least I would like to think he does, but he should show it a little more better. The medication he prescribed me worked great, but I don't like how he uses fear and degradation to get his point across. read more

I'm unsure of how this man receives any positive reviews. I've walked out of his office several times, crying, because of how he's verbally abused me. He would yell at me in front of my parents, despite telling me that my health habits were correct. He told me that someday, I will be too fat and slow to move out of the way of a bus coming towards me, and I will get killed. He told me that I would die before fifty-years-old (which, according to my other doctors, is a lie). He may have prescribed me with useful medications, but he is horrible. read more

He is very unprofessional. I have PCOS and Hashimoto and have regular check ups with him. I am used to his blunt responses but my last visit was awful. He first came into the room with two interns and didn't even ask if it was alright for them to be there. I was surprised that he didn't ask his patient (me) for consent to have two random people in the room while I discuss my health (which includes some things I'd rather keep private and talk solely to my endocrinologist.) Then he kept mentioning how I had gained weight since the last time I saw him, which by the way can't be much if I'm still the same pants and shirt size. I mentioned how I suddenly kept getting boils and they were occurring every week when I never used to get them and he just mentioned that it was because I gained more weight and my skin was rubbing together; this couldn't be the whole truth because I've been getting them in places where the skin cannot rub together. He was a jerk to me and didn't seem interested in my condition, just that I gained weight. I've told him I was on a workout plan for 2 months and saw no results and he told me to just work out harder. I think as a doctor specialized in my health conditions he knows that it is extremely difficult to lose weight when having PCOS and should have offered some exercise tips or anything other than what I can hear from a person with no education. Everything I mentioned was always answered with a weight gain response, and it made me feel like he only cared how fat I was. I was embarrassed the other two interns in the room were listening to this rude conversation and decided to never return as I could have gotten the same answers from a person off the street and not have been humiliated for being concerned about my health changes while being answered in a way he didn't seem to care. I'm glad he diagnosed me with my conditions, but am very unsatisfied with the lack of help and answer to my questions he has given me. He seems very inconsiderate as he gave me too little of my medication and caused me to get a flare up. I couldn't see him as their office is always full of appointments and had to go to a Walgreens clinic. They immediately told me that my medication dosage is very low and increased it, which to this day hasn't caused me any flare ups. This just goes to show how Dewan is a horrible endocrinologist. read more

Once again, one year later, we continue to struggle with what would seem to be the simplest of activities - prescription renewal. We started the process of our annual renewal needed for our child one week ago, as per insurance company regulations. It seems that fax issues, miscommunication and clerical errors haunt the office. These are practically the same problems we had one year ago when I left my last review. Last time we had issues, we were advised by Dr. Dewan to use Twistle to contact the office staff (which he is able to see) as this is the best way to communicate with the staff. We have tried reaching out via Thistle one week ago only to be bounced around from staff member to staff member. Novo Nordisk tried to reach out to their office via phone and got no response back. BriovaRx tried faxing paperwork for pre-authorization for our insurance which the office claims they never received due to fax machine issues. We tried reaching out to the office staff directly by phone and got no response back. This all started when we called BriovaRx for the prescription refill. Then as a courtesy to Dr. Dewan's office, we reached out via Twistle to advise them that they would be receiving a fax from BriovaRx for a prescription pre-authorization. All the office staff needed to do is to return by fax the pre-authorization paperwork the insurance company needs in order to provide the medication needed for our child. But for some apparent reason, this is too difficult for the office to handle. When the staff sent the information back to BriovaRx, it was incorrectly filled out and BriovaRx requested the office resend the needed information which they have yet to do. Why is this so hard? Our child has now exhausted his supply of medication even though we started the process a week ago. Perhaps we should start one month prior to give everyone plenty of time to fix fax machines, get caught up with voice mail and take time to properly fill out paperwork. Unfortunately insurance won't allow this to happen any sooner. Bottom line - It shouldn't take 5 business days to return a simple fax to maintain a prescription that is routine. In the meantime, we are trying to contact the office to get information as to why the process is delayed only to be put on the ignore channel. So now, our child is officially out of medication and we, along with BriovaRx, Novo Nordisk and my insurance company, are waiting for any information that only the office can provide. We were told by one of the staff that if were not able to get an interim supply by Novo Nordisk, the office would supply us with medication to hold us over. That has yet to happen. It really shouldn't be this hard. I consider myself a fair and just person and I certainly wanted to come back with a positive review for the entire office this time around. I truly believe Dr. Dewan is an outstanding professional that really cares about his patients and their well-being. Our child enjoys his company and we feel he is the best person for the job. Dr. Dewan, please look into your office procedures, equipment, and staff to make sure they are able to take care of the basics to avoid further frustrations from future patients and vendors your staff must work with. read more

My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes four years ago and I wish this was the first experience I had with the situation. We have been battling to keep her glucose levels stable since then and I have changed doctors quite a few times, going for the best in the town to the public services with no better results for her. We recently moved to Las Vegas and after two days on the phone trying to find an endocrinologist that would see a 16 year old or a pediatrician that would be a specialist we found Dr. Dewan. We didn't have much choice in the matter and I am so very glad we didn't have more options. Yasmin set our appointment over the phone and was so amazingly helpful. We arrived on time and barely had to wait. Diana, the diabetes educator saw us first and blew our minds with all this knowledge about diabetes that was denied to us in the past four years. When we saw Dr. Dewan, he told my daughter some things that made her finally make peace with becoming diabetic... " We are gonna fix you" and "We are going to adapt diabetes to your life, not the other way around". We were both on the verge of tears. My daughter asked him for a hug at the end of the consultation and they even gave us free samples of insulin and helped direct us to more cost effective ways to cope with her disease. We love Dr. Dewan. He is a caring and thoughtful physician however, his office staff ruins the experience. His staff is rude, discourteous, incompetent and inattentive. If you have any issues, be prepared to put on indefinite ignore. Note: make sure you block your number when you call the office otherwise they play games by automatically dumping you in a staff member's voice mail. What's amazing is that if you are going to Dr. Dewan, the treatment is highly specialized and the medication cost is astronomical. You would think that he would direct these children to have better manners when dealing with patients. It's incredibly frustrating.
