The problem doing this is that you must purchase a large slab, find someone to cut, finish, transport and install it. I saw The Top Shop's ad in the Lompoc Record and I went by to see if they had any remnants as I didn't need a very large piece. Greg was very accommodating and tolerant of my indecisiveness. He showed me what remnants he had that would meet my needs. Since I was having the fireplace retiled, I decided to use the same countertop material for the hearth too. He also knew someone who could do my tile work and they coordinated the project together. Greg and George do beautiful, precision work. I am so pleased with the outcome. The old hearth was terrible with chipped tile that had been painted and it wasn't level. Now I have a beautiful, sleek, level hearth with a matching countertop. The ladies running the countertops and painting departments were really nice and got me scheduled for paint and countertops. I ended up hiring a painter before our painting appointment came. Countertop person came over to measure and he informed me that there would be a fee of $150 to get a quote. It was an automatic turn off. No other companies do this. It should have been mentioned before we even booked the appointment. He gave me a ballpark number that was at least 7k to 10k over the company I intend to use. Appointment was a waste of time. Don't recommend you fall for the same thing I did. Look elsewhere

Elite remodel assisted with a complete remodel of a condo that had a slab leak. They replaced all…read morethe plumbing, redesigned the kitchen for functionality and aesthetic. The cabinetry and countertops are are stunning. They installed barn doors for space efficiency in a small unit. Elite installed new sliding glass doors and a beautiful new front door. They overhauled a dingy laundry cabinet to make it look like it was newly constructed. In doing so they identified an electrical issue that was not to code and they rectified it. They installed new flooring and lighting throughout the unit. They also identified an issue with the water heater and recommended a replacement. As with most construction, there were delays and set backs however overall the job was well done and the remodel was completed to my satisfaction.
