Pete's Meats SFV made a pop-up appearance at a local brewery this past Saturday. The owner of the business was friendly and cheerful. He was proudly serving his meat specialty and was very excited to be there. At the time, he said he was only serving beef brisket and pulled pork? Anyways, I went with brisket since I originally wanted tri-trip. I chose the sandwich rather than the bowl. Sandwich does come alone so FYI, however, the sandwich was layered thick with lots of brisket meat. Juicy, tender, seasoned well and meat would easily fall apart with each bite. Overall the sandwich was very satisfying and did not leave me feeling heavy afterwards nor drowsy. I highly recommend for your next meat craving follow them on their social so as to know where they will pop up next.

We tried Pete's Meats at his popup at Naughty Pine in Westlake Village recently. Great guy, doing amazing BBQ! Brisket falls apart and melts in your mouth! Delicious. Great coleslaw with a Japanese twist. Highly recommend!

Caught Pete's Meats at Hop Merchants in North Hollywood - and SO glad we did! Pete is awesome, and the food is so yummy. We got the pulled pork bowl, potato salad, and brisket sandwich. Generous portions and so filling. Highly recommend! Thanks Pete!!

Stumbled upon Pete's Meats on yelp while searching my area for new restaurants. Checked out the website and the pictures looked great but they were professional, no yelp pictures. Decided to take a chance but then realized they were a pop up. Luckily they were at a bar today, so ventured out through traffic. They were setup behind a bar in the tiny parking lot. I could smell the bbq. Decided to go with the brisket plate 1/2 lb. Wife had the pork belly bowl. The owner was a super nice guy and offered me a sample of the brisket. Man was it good! Decided right there to bump it up to a pound. Ordered both the fatty and lean. Great choice by me. The brisket was some of the best brisket I have had! Better than the big names I have been to. Better than Slab, better than Bludsos, better than anything currently in the valley. So good! Lean was so moist and juicy and the fatty was perfect. Had rice and slaw for sides. Slaw was ok and the rice was fine. Wife said the pork belly bowl was good but she ended up eating my brisket. Couldn't blame her, it is that good! So happy to stumble upon Pete's. Will be back!

We searched the area for something unique, and as I was going to U-Turn to go back towards the freeway. My girlfriend and I see Big Art's Tacos near the side of the road, cooking up fresh food under a tent. After pulling into the lot and walking up, we're greeted by 3 staff members while we eye the delicious looking food on the grill. And also scan the food for what we want. We ended up ordering the following: The OG burritos x2 (Asada) First off, the burritos were HUGE! Nice and hot, fresh off the grill, and were delicious; especiallywoth the spicy red salsa! They definitely hit the spot. Overall: Great food, friendly staff and enjoyed good conversation worh them all.

The burrito was HUGE and had the perfect amount of everything. Sometimes breakfast burritos are overloaded with potatoes or eggs, but this one was really balanced and every bite was amazing. I got the salsa rojo with it and it was seriously tasty, but I wish it had a little more kick haha. That's genuinely my only complaint. The salsa verde was also on the mild side and super good as well. The orange juice was a big surprise for me! Orange juice is my favorite juice to drink, so I have it pretty often and can usually tell when it's fresh. This was seriously some of the best orange juice I've ever had. It tasted like actual oranges, not sugary concentrate, and wasn't overly sweet at all. Just fresh, refreshing, and exactly how orange juice should taste. The guys working there are very sweet and friendly. I appreciated the help in deciding what to get! Thanks for having me, I will be back!

It's frustrating to spend money and end up with food you didn't even ask for. And then there's the sauce... I don't know what's in it, but it's so ridiculously spicy it feels like it could double as a fire starter. Completely overpowers everything and makes the food almost inedible. Between the messed-up orders and the over-the-top heat, this was a pretty disappointing experience. Definitely not rushing back anytime soon. UPDATE: (in response to owner since I cannot respond) No one put me up to this, it's an honest review. I ordered through Uber Eats so fixing the order wasn't an option. The fire starter is the Chipotle Aioli you seem to put on all your dishes (at least the items on my order.) this was not requested but is an ingredient included. Instead of a having a helpful response I get a very sarcastic tone from you. Was hoping for an overall better experience.
