The original recommendation to try Mat was through a friend that had used him for many years for his Boxer, so I knew I was in good hands. The love affair my dog developed with Mat is sort of sublime. Maybe it's his gentle caring nature, or maybe he really is a dog whisperer-- but she completely melts around him. Totally bonkers. I've never witnessed her act that way with any other human (not even me). I've always liked that The Well Heeled Dog is a small, nimble business that's been in operation for a very long time. Mat is still very much IN his business, so that difference is felt. And call me crazy, but the fact that he was Lou Reed's trusted dog walker (Yes, THAT Lou Reed) for many years is kind of amazing? (He's pretty humble so would never mention it). I can't say enough good. Whether it's walks or long global travels, I've simply never had to worry about Andy in his care. And as a dog owner who loves her girl (in possibly excessive proportions), that's worth its weight in gold.

Now, a few months later they are best buds and Jenn goes above and beyond every walk to listen to Turtle, get him what he needs, and ensure he has a great time. As a trainer she has made such a difference in Turtle's life (and ours!) and has gone out of her way to care for him when it became clear he couldn't handle another walker. Her number 1 focus is her dogs' well being and it shows every day with Turtle. We couldn't recommend her and her team enough!

Immediately after entering the store I was greeted by Erin, Brenda and Kim who were the friendliest, kindest, most helpful working employees I have ever met. I really need to highlight Erin and Brenda for a moment to give you an accurate understanding of why I am so appreciative of them! My senior pug does not do well with walking on the floor so I went to go pick him up and as I picked him up he started to pee in the air like a newborn baby totally going in the direction of her about to completely drench her and thank god missed. I was soooo embarrassed and Erin and Brenda could not have made me feel more comfortable and laughed it off with me! As if that was not enough, my dog proceeded to pee down the whole aisle as I was reading ingredients in treats!!! Again, Erin and Brenda to the rescue totally laughing it off and cleaning it up with no ounce of aggravation or irritation. Brenda held my Rosie on the leash while I paid at the register and Erin helped bring all my stuff to the car! I am so overly impressed with their customer service and knowledge of their products. Erin was able to recommend a powder to add to my dogs diet for senior nourishment. I'm very pleased with this establishment and truly hope they continue to thrive and cannot wait to return soon!

I have two kind of insane cats (lol), who are impossible to get to settle down to get their nails clipped. One of my cats usually needs two people to hold him, as he gets so squirmy. The other, as my vet and his techs call him, is a "beast!" She was prepared, and we've wrapped one cat in a towel "purrito" as she clips him, and we keep the other one separated, which keeps him calm. Her visits are usually quick and though my cats can put up a bit of a fight, I'm there with her to keep them settled...then they get treats and all is well in the world! Happily referred to several people!

I met Allie 2 years ago when she used to work at a brick and mortar salon in UES and when she started her at-home-grooming business, I decided to give it a try. My dog had always gotten groomed at Petco (mainly) and other small shops so the idea of a groomer doing it in my home was new, and I was tbh a little skeptical as I am very particular when it comes to tidiness/cleanliness in my apt. I hate dust bunnies with a passion and the thought of my mini schnauzer's little fur chunks flying around in the air was not very appealing. However, plz believe me when I say Allie is amazing! Not only is she an extremely talented groomer (check out her instagram page), she is very respectful, responsive and best of all, she leaves my place fur-free. She brings all the tools with her and cleans up as she goes. She is soooo gentle with my dog. My dog loves her. I also enjoy witnessing the entire grooming process! I highly recommend Allie! Her price isn't too far from what you'd pay at a salon. And the peace of mind knowing my dog feels safe at home is PRICELESS.

Well from the second I walked in I felt the love and compassion everyone there had for animals. When I picked Quinn up she was not freaked out she was calm and relaxed and of course happy to see me. They did everything from nails, paws and an amazing wash and cut. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone, especially new doggie parents. Truly amazing!!!

I could instantly tell how caring, gentle and responsible she is when it comes to pet care. I have been too scared to trust anyone with my furbaby/doghter since I adopted her 2.5 years ago, but I could tell I could trust Dominika - and I was right! She recently visited Wanda when I was out for the night and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Wanda is very timid, but Dominika gently won her over, gained her trust and was able to get her outside. By the end of the visit Wanda was eating out of her hand (which was incredible, she never does that!) She sends updates and photos which was much appreciated. We then found TOP NOTCH BULLDOG, Eric (the breeder) was awesome throughout the process, he was so patient and answered any questions we had.We went and visited him in his home where he breeds the dogs, no puppy mill bull crap here... awesome place with backyard and proper kennels, We've had Rosie our female french bulldog for about 2 1/2 months now and everything has been great we took her to vet for a wellness check up the following day after we picked her up and vet said she was healthy, she has been healthy ever since, her temperament is awesome, and so is her health! What made us decide to purchase our pup from top notch was the fact that he had his dogs on site in his home, other breeders we visited had some kind of dog factory going on, and they always had a story as to why their parent dogs weren't on site, i definitely wanted to see what i was getting myself into considering the commitment that we were getting into, i STILL keep in touch with eric and talk about the dog! We are now consideration adding another pup to our family and will be back with eric, They are definitely TOP NOTCH!
