I was there yesterday to look at houseplants; I have bought plants there previously and was pleased. I couldn't decide! So many healthy ones to choose from. I was planning on 2 plants...but walked out with 5! I asked the nice lady working in that section a couple of questions and she was knowledgeable and friendly. I also bought potting soil, and while there I checked Amazon for prices on pots and plant stands, and discovered that for similar items, Petitti's was cheaper than Amazon. Sold! They have many different types of garden decorations and that I liked. They have rows and rows of flowers. I like that they have everything separated by perennials, annuals, deer and rabbit proof or repellent. Not quite sure what the terminology. The reason I give it just two stars because I feel there expensive. I was planning on buying plants for two garden beds, I quickly changed my mind. Also there was no one in sight to help me with anything. If I ever decide to go back I will visit at a different time of the day. I will also check the prices and go look at the seeds. read more

Love the flowers the shrubs and trees, great prices . Their customer service is horrible, two young boys would not assist us , instead they continued gossiping to one another and avoiding eye contact! Compared to the 303 branch total opposite, maybe they could learn something from Brunswick associates . If I could give them a zero I would. They are expensive but I have never had an issue paying up for good plants. However, this is a complaint with the Boardman store's management. I have been a customer for years and years. You have a sale on hanging baskets, buy one get one half off. You only had one basket in the color I need, cherry red petunias which are $34.99. I already have 8 other baskets of this color. I need at least two more. I found some small containers with velvet red petunias that look very close for $3.99. I picked up the one basket and and ten of the small ones. I asked to speak with a manager to see if I paid the full price for the 10 @ $3.99 could I get the hanging basket for half off. I was trying to explain and she simply oh no we can't do that and walked away. It's not the fact that you couldn't do it, it is the lack of empathy with me as a customer. I let her know how displeased I was and will NEVER return. I wouldn't be so upset but she was so dismissive. Horrible experience! I am about to landscape my outside and will definitely take my business elsewhere. I am sure as a corporate office you could care less as well but I needed to get this out because it really upset me!! I will go with someone who is local. Should have done that anyway! What ever happened to the customer coming first or the customer is always right? Edit: Thanks for a relpying with a form response with name inputed. Huge place. The staff there is friendly and helpful. The only downer is that they are more expensive than other garden centers. I was able to bring my friendly puppy on her leash here too. They have a wide selection of plants, planters, gifts, and even jewelry. read more

I reached out to Pettiti Garden Center for landscape design services. It took the designer, Michael out of Strongsville, several weeks to even get in touch with me about my project. Over a month went by without hearing from Michael about an update on my design.. I emailed, phoned the garden center and was told "we have not seen him in weeks". He finally got a hold of me and told me he had been on vacation (which was never previously communicated), and he had not even started my project because he "turned his attention to a very large special project". I will never go to Petitti or use landscape design services from them ever again after feeling so pushed to the side, and left in the dark. read more

Nice selection of plants, but can be a little pricey. Very few discounts. They used to have nice vegetable plants in flats that where an excellent value but they have chosen to not offer them and go with individual pots. There frequent buyer program is a joke. You need to speed $500 to get just a $10.00 gift certificate and they only give you that the next year. If you don't reach $500 you get nothing. Their newsletter used to have wonderful coupons but now they are very limited. The picture of the vegetable plants in the listing is old. They don't have that anymore. They have moved vegetable plants to a smaller section on the side. read more

Beautiful flowers and accessories. One of my favorite garden centers. Cashiers are always pleasant as are the helpers throughout the store. I love shopping here when I visit my mother in Cleveland. I have one major issue, I have been to the store 3 times over the past six months. Two of those times I encountered an older gentleman in the outdooflower section i learned he was an employee. He was very abrupt and rude not only to the customers but to two other employees working in that area. I almost asked to file a report with the manager but decided to let it go as everyone has a bad day. Then today I was back in the store again and encountered the same gentleman. He was once again making rude and berating comments to one of the employees, a teen boy. I have never heard an employee speak to another employee that way in my life. You could see the young boy's spirit was crushed. I went to the customer service desk and asked who the man was and said I wanted to report him to the store manager only to find out that he was the store manager! The customer service person was very polite and told me his name was Mike. I could tell she didn't want to say anything else about him but it was obvious that this man is a bully, and a tyrant. It is totally unacceptable for any type of employer to speak their employees that way especially in front of customers. As much as I love Petitti's I will be finding somewhere else to shop when I visit my family in Cleveland. I will never return there again. I do however feel like going back and offering the employee that was being be rated a job with my company. I've never been so upset over a retail experience in my entire life. I own a business with many employees I couldn't imagine that type of behavior ever being tolerated. read more
