During the pool installation the pool light did not have a bulb in it. The heater did not come with a shut off valve. I called the store and they said they would bring them out the next day. They arrived the next day. The driver was the store manager who also sold us the pool and all of the outdoor furniture. He walked right past me and didn't say a word. I followed them down to the pool and asked why the rude cold shoulder. Kyle the manager said he had a bad cold. I raised concerns about the crooked liner where the light was installed as well as two of the bases on the uprights were not installed correctly. He said he would look at them. I was in my garage with the door open. They left without a word. I still have a crooked liner that I will see for the next five to ten years. I will demand that they correct those. I want what your commercials and advertisements display, a professional install , done correctly. Then my happy family enjoying what I paid for. I paid for the furniture to be put together when we purchased it. However when everything including the pool was delivered it was the end of January and blustery cold. The delivery people said they would come back when it was warmer. I said ok , I can just store everything here in my garage. Today the people came to put together the furniture and complained that the first delivery group got off easy and should have put the furniture together then. I am so DISAPPOINTED!!! I just hope the furniture isn't scratched or poorly put together. Leadership starts at the top and a team is led by example!!!!!!!!!! Purchased a 12 chairs outdoor dining set for over $4,000.00 in early June 2025, only received 8 chairs at purchase. Chairs would arrive as stated before July 14th. NO CHAIRS FOR EVENT ON JULY 19th. Go somewhere else. Got my hot tub here a couple of years ago. Went in there today to get a replacement head rest, and was told they don't carry that part. Asked them to order it for me (they still have the hot tub on display), and was told they can't order parts. Kid gave me their service guys phone #, said maybe he can help. They would not work with the guy to order...it's on me to make the call. Worthless - this is why in a few years there will be no brick & mortar stores - lazy. This place is great for just looking around and getting ideas of what you want. Super overpriced so it's better to just look at their stuff then buy it online cheaper, way way cheaper. The prices on the items are crazy confusing. Multiple staff members agree with me on that one. read more

Buyer Beware! We purchased a basketball hoop in March, it arrived to their warehouse in April and it's currently June 8th and we are still waiting for an install. The contractor was supposed to come last Wednesday but never showed up. Wont return calls or texts. The store says their hands are "tied." Worst service ever. By far this is the easiest pool store to deal with, as well as most reasonably priced. In addition, they have gone above and beyond what's expected to make a customer happy. I purchased my pool from a different location several years ago but, they have always helped me w/ replacing parts and upgrading some options. They've got my business for sure. We purchased a above ground pool here. The price was just ok but it included free installation so we decided to go with them as we didn't want to bother with that. I took the day off we were scheduled for but it ended up raining. They called and said they could come the next but I was reluctant since I would be out of town. They said it would be no problem as long as someone could be there to show them where we wanted the filter. They called my husband to come home when they got there. They informed him they would need to "skim" the area for the pool and asked where to put the dirt. He thought no big deal just put it by the pool since we had a professionally installed pool on the site previously how much could they need to "skim". Well we came home to a 3x15 foot pile of rock hard dirt. This is impossible for us to move ourself and we will need to hire someone. We have a large yard and if we had been adequately informed of the volume of dirt either before or during the installation we would have chosen a way different location. My family just bought a 33 ft round pool from The Great Escape in Strongsville. We use to be patrons of Litehouse pools for our hot tub needs but when it came down to buying a new pool, Great Escape had better prices, better products and very knowledgeable staff. Carolyn Boehm our sales specialist was very knowledgeable and honest about that products. She was not pushy at all and explained wonderfully what we would need now and what we would need later or what we didn't need at all. If you are looking to purchase an above ground pool, I wouldn't recommend this store. I purchased a pool package from there and the install process has been a nightmare thus far. The installers arrived on a day in which they were not scheduled to install the pool. We went ahead and allowed them to try and install it. We have been having so much rain our backyard has been a swamp. They said they could and they did. They recommended not to fill the pool with water at night due to the cold nightly temps it may crack the liner. The next morning, I went outside to start filling the pool and I noticed two top rails were not aligned properly the caps that cover the screws are not covering the screws and a section of the pool was buckling. I called hubby at work to inform him what I have noticed and that I refuse to fill the pool until someone fixes the top rails. My husband called and spoke to the salesman we purchased the pool through and explained the issue. When hubby arrived home he also sent text messages with a picture of the top rail to the pool contractor and salesman. The pool contractor told my husband it was OK to fill the pool they can still fix it. A Great Escape employee called a couple of times and reassured us that it was OK to fill the pool. She stated that filling the pool with water will stop the buckling, we are scheduled to be serviced by the weekend, we can fill the pool and use it. The issue is a five-minute fix, just a matter of unscrewing the screws and moving them over. My husband and I didn't see how they could fix it with the pool filled, but OK they are the experts. So we went ahead and filled the pool. The installers arrived on Saturday and were unable to fix the issue because the pool was filled.....WTF! Now what? Contacted the sales person at GE about the issue. He agreed with us and wanted to know who told us to fill the pool, we gave him the name of the pool contractor and GE employee that told us to go ahead and fill it. Sunday, we called the salesperson wondering what are they going to do about this. His stated he hasn't heard back from the pool contractor. What I do know is the pool must be drained in order to fix the issue and that I'm not going to eat the cost of filling the pool up twice, that's over 15,000 gallons of water. Thus far it has been 3 days and no word from them. I have had to place a complaint with the BBB so the issue will get addressed and not ignored. One question I have is why did the installers ignored the issue in the first place? You can plainly see the top rails were off when the cap cover didn't cover the screws. I would upload a picture for all to see if I could. I'll give them 1 star only because the price was descent. You've heard the saying you get what you pay for. Anita B read more

This is an update to my previous review. I spoke to the manager Dan and he was able to ship a new chair out to me very quickly with no questions asked. The new chair was delivered at the exact time told to me by Great Escape. I am very satisfied with the service provided by Dan. The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is due to my initial phone call to report the issue, I felt the employee should have been more caring/attentive. It says a lot about a company who stands behind their product and makes things right by the customer. Well done. read more

The parts for the pool were delivered to my home and a week later a company with impressive installation knowledge made it happen with no problems and everything was above what I would of thought.
