Kind of a big deal for all of us. Roughly 5 minutes after he is dropped off we're called and told he is too difficult and needs to be drugged for future services. Any time he has been to the vet, he is compliant. A little nervous but easy to work with. He wasn't given a chance. Lack of customer service or care. If you simply cannot handle servicing a dog, state that. I'm ashamed. I've never had such a terrible experience for grooming with petco before. I've had difficult anxious dogs in the past who were taken care of extremely well by petco groomers who handled their anxiety and were able to create a safe and comfortable environment.

I had a very unprotessional experience as a new hire. I was also a repeat customer prior to being…read morehired, which makes this even more disappointing. My first day (Monday December 29) I spent about 7 hours shadowing employees, asking questions, and helping where allowed (changing animal water and sweeping). I was not trained or given the opportunity to actually perform the job, nor was I given any feedback. When 1 came in for my second shift on Friday, 1 clocked in and was immediatelv told by the shift lead that they "didn't think I was the right fit" and to clock out. I drove 45 minutes to get there and was there for less than two minutes. No explanation was given, despite not being trained or allowed to work independentlv. This conversation also happened in front of several customers and employees, which was embarrassing uncomfortable and extremely unprofessional. I later texted the manager asking for clarification and never received a response. Because of how this was handled, I will not be returning as a customer and would not recommend this location. New employees deserve basic professionalism, communication, and respect.

I can't feel bumps in her abdomen nor is she acting sluggish. Her gums looks great and she seems happy and vibrant. We have another vet visit in 2 days. The owners of Country Pets and Ponds defended their feeding rituals by saying "that's why we feed them green leaf lettuce, that healthier." No. Use Google. That is not nourishing them - that's cheap. They defended putting their beardies on sand because "we only do that for the adults, not babies." Doesn't matter. They also accused my vet of "thinking she's an expert," even after praising that vet clinic moments before. Dr. Bradley has a PhD, she is an expert. The adolescent beardie in their care had very little water, even with 3 people working, and her/his water bowl was coated with sand on the bottom. So regardless if s/he is breathing it in or not, she's drinking it. Their animals look damaged and uncomfortabl. Go see for yourself. The male owner boasted about his colony of Dubai roaches he raised himself and told me how hard it was to raise them, all the people I know who raise dubias to save money says he's full of it. He just wants my money. ($7 for 24 medium dubias by the way - I can't afford that.) Please don't give them your money. They don't have a clue of what they're doing.
