I used RCD this past week. We have used other dog sitter/walker businesses before and when I called them, they no longer service our area. It has been quite a while since we needed a service, as we take our pets on vacation with us. This change in their service area had me scrambling and I found RCD. We needed someone to take care of our pups last minute, due to a funeral out of town. I called and told them our circumstances and they had someone available in our area, right away. Donna came and met with our pets and we went over the instructions. She sent us text messages and pictures while we were gone. She left a daily report at the house for us to look over when we returned. I would highly recommend this company for taking care of your pets! We had an amazing experience with this company and especially with our pet sitter Jennifer. I can't say enough good things about her and the quality of care she provided for our kitty while we were out of town for a week. I can honestly say that she went above and beyond. She had no problems with our home security system, did a great job caring for and cleaning after our cat and even brought in our mail. We have indoor and outdoor cameras as an additional safety precaution and while we didn't watch it on every visit what we did see and hear made us feel so grateful. She was warm and kind to our cat and clearly took the job seriously. My only regret is that we didn't tip more than we did. I didn't get a chance to use this company since they would not provide a consult without being assured that we were not considering any other companies. Basically, they wanted a guarantee that we would be using them before the caregiver ever met our dog. To me, this reeks of a company that lacks confidence in either their service or their people, or a company trying to bully the consumer. I am glad for the people that have used this company and it worked well for them. I am sure that for those people, the company and their people were a good fit. If you are looking for someone to take care of your cats or dogs while you are out of town for a while, this service can easily do it for you. They will come in every day and clean their poop or walk them so that they can poop. They will also come in and put food in the animal's bowl and water in the drinking bowl. If there are any types of meds that your animals need to stay healthy, then the person will take care of that, too. The only problem is finding a good time to get to them before you leave. Between my work schedule and the lady's work schedule it was difficult to find time to meet her. I eventually met her the day before I was leaving. Also, the problem with the person working and needing to take care of the animals means that it doesn't happen much. Pretty much, the animals seem to come after the job that she had. The cats we have aren't really extremely needy by any means, so I'm not worried about our animals, but if anyone has animals that need extended care should probably leave them at a kennel or not leave them at all. This place wouldn't be for someone like that. read more

Simply the best! I left my cat in the capable hands of Tarajee from Reigning Cats and Dogs for about a week while I was on vacation. Although the business is located in Duluth, they also service the Atlanta ITP area. Scheduling was a breeze and the office manager was a delight to communicate with. They have an excellent online booking system. During my trip, the lovely sitter sent me tons of notes, updates, and photos of my happy little guy playing with her and eating treats. I can tell she loved on him like he was a family member. She followed all my notes to a T and made sure to pull out the cat's favorite toy each day. I cannot say enough about my experience so far with Reigning Cats and Dogs! Having said that, I have used several agencies in the past few years and, at the end of the day, the quality of the job they do really depends on the specific sitter. I started using Reigning Cats and Dogs in November 2016 and the sitter is fantastic. My older cats and I had just moved and one was a) having medical issues with her bowels, and b) acting out her displeasure with the new location. Not a good situation. Our sitter took it in stride and was patient and thorough in cleaning up. He took great care of the cats and they seemed to really like him. Since then, my cat's health has improved and she is now comfortable at home so those problems are solved. Still, the cat sitter is fantastic! He sends me daily reports, he uses common sense. He plays with the cats, and, most importantly, they are happy kitties. Therefore, I am a happy customer! read more

Terrible experience!! My husband and I flew to Arizona for the week of Thanksgiving and had a sitter from Reigning Cats & Dogs coming to stay in our home with our animals while we were away visiting family. During the initial interview with this sitter, he was aware of the fact that we did have cameras in our home, we also included this information in the intake paperwork. We paid the extra fee to have the sitter stay with our dogs 24 hrs., only leaving for 1-2 hours at a time. On the third day we were notified by our Ring system that this sitter was leaving at 6:30 am. He did not return to our home for over 8 hours. When he finally did come back what we witnessed on our home surveillance system was beyond disturbing. This sitter was yelling at our dogs while swinging his bag saying "Back up!!, Do not get close to me, how many times do I have to tell you that!!!". We were horrified by this, so much so that we decided it best for one of us to fly home on Thanksgiving morning to relieve this sitter of his duties so our animals were not exposed to this person that was so obviously not an animal lover. We understand that not all sitters who work here are not the same, but unfortunately I guess we were not one of the lucky ones. Needless to say we will not be a returning client of Reining Cats & Dogs. read more

Based on over a year of experience, this is a great & trustworthy company. We are very partial to one of the sitters in particular. I feel like she really cares about our pets and I do enjoy reading the diary left behind that describes what all of our critters were up to while we were away. We used RC&D for an evening dog sit in August and for 9 nights of in-home 24hr/day house/dog sitting this month for our three dogs. Two of the dogs are senior and don't do well in kennel settings and aren't used to being left home alone for greater than 4-5hrs. Both experiences with RC&D were fantastic. We had different sitters for each stay and had no problem setting up pre-visit consults with either one. During our long vacation, the sitter (Kara) emailed us a few times with updates and photos and she kept a daily journal of waking time, potty breaks, exercise and feeding. It was nice being able to keep the dogs at home, on their normal routine. We were able to vacation without worrying about our home and came home to three happy dogs. We'll use RC&D again and would recommend them without hesitation. read more

Wowwww! I love this service. The office staff was exceptional to work with. They found me a pet sitter in one day, had the sitter call me and we arranged a meeting. I could tell these folks LOVE animals. I had lots of instructions for the pet sitter, but she was happy to make sure my dogs were so happy and well taken care of. I asked for texts, or emails on how they were doing. She gladly provided these updates and also left daily notes on how they were doing while I was gone. I could tell that the care of my pets came first. I know I will call Reigning Cats & Dogs next time I need pet care. I see on their website they have been around for 20 years. I have used a couple of Gwinnett pet sitter companies and was not happy for a number of reasons. I just used Reigning Cats and Dogs for the 1st time and it was such an organized pleasant experience from start to finish. When calling other Gwinnett sitters I had to deal with difficult rough sounding staff and owners, then there was total waist of my time with all sorts of random people calling and all having to meet with me...then they would cancel or change times to fit everyone's schedule but mine. On top of it all , a bunch of random strangers had my personal info including security codes to my house and someone I never met the other company went in my home! Not with Reigning Cats and Dogs. They were so pleasant and on top of things, The Pet sitter contacted me and met me ASAP , she was very polished, well spoken and organized. The CEO said she would send me someone great and she did. I was assured that this would actually be the sitter that took care of my Fur Babies and she was. RCD and staff went out of their way to comfort me and my animals. I can not commend you all enough. My darling baby Yorkie is very special to us. We were very concerned that being away from us would be just as jolting to him as it was to us - but in came the rescue for a particular sitter. This is a great company and they have a great concept! However, when I scheduled a consultation with a new sitter, she brought along her 2-3 year old child. This child was wild and running around while we were trying to talk. I informed the sitter that I did not feel comfortable with her bringing her daughter when she was pet sitting for me. I got the meanest look from the sitter, like I had offended her! I feel it is unprofessional for her to bring her children along. Hopefully, if I use the company again, they'll send me a sitter that doesn't bring personal children along! read more

She was very friendly and professional and asked thorough questions. She visited at regular times and kept a log while we were gone. She also sent texts and pictures. Okay so I called this company to pick up my pet's waste in my backyard . I spoke to the owner and she wanted a payment first over the phone before the job was done (I usually don't like doing this as its a risk that the job may not be done correctly and the payment has already been pre- paid). A male employee called me the day of the job to come out and clean my backyard; I didn't check after him that day as I wasn't home. The next day I went outside to check to see if all the waste has been picked up, and I noticed 4 piles of waste still left in (my backyard is fenced and it's not that big) backyard. I called this organization to notify them of the waste that was left behind. I spoke to a female employee about the issue and she gave me every excuse (told me that it was a lot of waste and that leaves could have been covering it up-really????) on why the waste was not picked up. Then she went on to explain how the male employee may not come back out because he had to get reimbursed for driving expenses by their company. It's not professional to discuss reimbursement issues (between their company and their employees) with the client, all I wanted was a simple "sorry, we missed picking up some waste and what can we do for you to resolve this issue" rather than continual excuses on why it wasn't picked up and explanations on reimbursement issues between them and their employees. Will absolutely never use this organization again for any of their services offered. I pre-paid for a 1/2 completed job (which is what I was afraid of)! read more
