Excellent resturant. Service is top notch. We always have the same servers, I appreciate the consistency. I love the fresh salads. It is truly farm to table. The wines are great, we love them all. I like the saganaki. My table got grilled octopus and beets. They said it was the best they had ever had. The server said the chef has been making that dish for 18 years. Petrie winery is an amazing place for dinner. Every time we go to Solvang we make reservations here. Their meatballs are to die for.

We had a wonderful time meeting up with family there. We ate on the patio which was very pleasant! Our server, Ricardo, a was knowledgeable local. He was friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious! I tried the special lamb gyro, sooo good! The salads we ordered were great but not as big as expected. It was a relaxing atmosphere with great food. Oh my gosh!!!!!!!! It just doesn't get better!my heart is full. This is the most magical place in the county. Smack dab on the Foxen trail, the magic and the peace you feel just from the location are bar none. Next you have the most incredible managers who if you're lucky also serve you dinner. The managers treat you as if you are the most precious guests who have just come to their home!!!!! The food is delicious....i always get the pita bread and cucumbers with their famous 3 dips mmmmmmm last night I had a salad with Salmon and it was divine!!!!! I've read about this place and was recommended by a few people as well. Not only for the wine tasting but for lunch as they have a restaurant as well. Kill two birds with one stone, we finally made it. The experience that we shared was for a friends birthday party held in the cellar area over the weekend. It hosted about 60 of us. Quick note on property. It's a cute winery/vineyard with the wrap around porches with tables for lunch. Showing was also a beautiful classic car right in the front of the property. Inside there's a seating area with a fireplace and a bar. We had the cellar room area which could accommodate a large group. There was also a bar that we utilized. They also had a few other rooms if needed. The setting was simple and chic. Long tables with simple single white iceberg rose in a vase and olive branch laid out along the table. Started off with some nice wine selection that was for the party. Appetizers was a spinach puff pastries I believe. They were quite nice, which could have been eastern all day. As it was a big gathering it was family style. The arugula salad started off, then came the rice and grilled veggies. Main was the salmon and short ribs. The meat was quite tasty and the short ribs literally flaked off to the touch. It was cooked well and everything was great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lunch was very well put together for a big group and the wine was flowing. The menu from the lunch did looked quite nice but we were on a set menu which still was great. The wine choices were great which I was very fond of the Pinot Noir. Very bold and goes down very smooth. read more

Just wanted to thank Robyn for accommodating my large party on such short notice. Came in to celebrate the night before our courthouse elopement in Santa Barbara. We were a party of 22, which included kids. We had an amazing family style dinner which started off with the Spanakopita, so light and perfect ! Our dinner included the most delicious Cesar salad, seriously the best Cesar I think I've had. We had the most flavorful Braised Beef and tasty Chicken Skewers for the main course. The kids had pasta dishes with butter sauce and Marinara, also delicious ! To top it all off we had the most amazing chocolate mousse for dessert ! Everyone in the party LOVED the food and left full and happy, we also had lots of food to take home! The service provided by all the lovely staff was amazing and could not have been better. They were on top of every detail and left us wowed. The ambience of this winery was so romantic and everything about it was just beautiful. The rolling hills , the secluded feel of it. Just perfect. Cute restaurant tucked into the SYV mountains. Made an evening reservation, sat outside and they turned on the warmers for us which was perfect for a cold day. The sunset was amazing btw! Was not too busy and then service was great. Now food. There were 3 of us and we ordered the dip platter which was plenty. We also ordered the seasonal peach salad and that was easily shareable between us as well. The salad was my favorite of the two! For my entree I had the salmon with the veggies and mashed potatoes. We made reservations for 5 for thanksgiving dinner and had to wait a while to get seated. The place is beautiful, especially during nighttime, so I had high hopes for the experience we were about to have. Not only did they take forever to come take our order every time, but it also took a very long time to get our food. We weren't checked on and my friend even had to get up to ask someone to pay us some mind, the table behind us just got up and walked away. They were obviously very short staffed, so we tried understanding. However, for the high price we paid for a set menu and just okay wine, they rally need to step up the service. Food was good. I especially enjoyed the dip tasting and spanakopita was so delicious my 4 year old ate the whole thing (that or he was starving from waiting). read more

From the Kafteri Dip, the Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes, the Chicken Skewers, the Chocolate Mousse and the wine... it was absolutely delicious. We talked about the meatballs all weekend long. The service was superb and gave us time to enjoy our wine and each course at our leisure. We were there on a Thursday, so it wasn't too crowded. The new restaurant was opened last year on Foxen Canyon in the Winery. The location and ambiance was beautiful. The inside rooms are IG ready for a bridal shower or next get together. The wine is just ok, they have different wine from all over the central coast. This is not reason for my good review. We had their wine flight and nothing stood out to me. My 4 stars are for the ambience and excellent food. The charcuterie plate was not worth it, they need to get better quality meats and cheeses. However the pita and delicious dips were excellent. The pita was fresh. The Petros special dip should be ordered right away. It was creamy, savory, slightly spicy and habit forming. The gyro plate was delicious. The spanakopitas were huge, flaky and delicious. The shrimp saganaki was the first I had ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the rich tomato feta sauce was delicious, slightly sweet and savory creamy tomato flavor. I will want to order that again, and again. And again. I would recommend this short drive for excellent Greek food if you are ever in Los Olivos. Reservations are suggested. read more

Pretty good wines! The experience was okay.. they brought out the wine flights but did not say anything about them. So I left drinking the wine without any knowledge about the winery or their process.. Just the tasting menu. I guess it was not the engaging experience I usually get when going to wineries. My love to learn about wine and taste every wine maker's/wineries craft is why I visit the vineyards and tsting rooms. The location for this winery-restaurant is beautiful. The service is beyond great. We sat on the front porch area on a blustery, cool night. The staff took great care to make sure we were warm, by moving the gas heaters. Now for the food review. I had chicken and shrimp kabobs with rice. They were very tasty. You don't get a lot for $28. I downed it in 6 minutes. My Dad had a salad with shrimp. It was heaped with shredded lettuce. Obviously, this place has a good wine selection but no beer. That's fine. I'm not sure I'd chose this place to eat if I was choosing, but that's only because it's very expensive. For an elegant meal in pretty surroundings, enjoy it and don't think about the price. read more

Ricardo also made suggestions while we ordered that saved us from ordering more than was necessary. He was conscientious when walking by to bring us water and ask if everything was to our liking. The grounds at Petros were beautiful as we chose an outside table, being kept warm by the numerous heaters. This was our first time in Los Olivos and dining at Petros. Such a beautiful winery. My wife and I had their special Thanksgiving dinner there. The location and restaurant were beautiful. We had dinner right next to some wine caskets, on the inside, but the building and setting are really pretty. Food was excellent. I opted for the grilled salmon (I'm not a big fan of turkey), which was simple but very good. My wife had their traditional Turkey dinner, and after taking a few bites, I have to say that their Turkey was quite excellent. I'm not sure if it was just smothered in gravy or if the turkey was made by sous vide, but that was a very juicy piece of breast meat. The fixing were good too. I almost regretted my choice, but enjoyed my salmon nonetheless. The dessert was just ok. They were serving a million people, and our pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate mousse seemed to loose some of its firmness. It could have use some more refrigerator time to have the right consistency. Altogether though, I'd love to come back again. Their regular menu looks equally good, and the setting would be an excellent place for lunch. read more

As an app we got their spanakopita which was okay. For my entree, I shared their watermelon salad, gyro burger with fries and shrimp and chicken souvlanki with a friend. I really enjoyed their watermelon salad and thought it was flavorful. I would try their watermelon salad if you like watermelon like I do! My friend got the gyro burger with fries and thought it was good. I liked how the fries were crispy. I got their chicken and shrimp skewers which came with rice. The chicken was tender and I thought the rice was a bit bland for my liking. I would come back for their wines, apps and their ambiance !
