I have known Amy since we were scrappy teenagers. Even back then her love of animals was abundantly clear. I've seen her care not only for her own, but interact with many animals that did not belong to her and they just FLOCK to her!!!! One of my cats had always been wary of people other than myself but whenever Amy was around he sounded like a motorboat with all the purring. I have watched her raise kittens and seek out the best homes for them once they were ready. She is one of the most caring people I have ever met and wish she lived near me still so she could take care of my babies when I go on vacation!!!! Whoever this Heidi person is doesn't know what she's talking about. I've never seen an animal shy away from Amy in any way shape or form. She has been an animal lover since we met and it's one of the things we initially bonded over when we first became friends. My kids are furry and have four feet. They are my children in every way. I would not trust them in just anybody's hands.....but I would trust them with Amy. If she were caring for my cats while I was away I could go away feeling very relaxed and confident in the care and love and companionship that they would receive while I was away and it would make it easier to go away without worrying about them. Give Amy a chance and I promise you she won't let you down! Amy has been taking car of my dog and 4 cats a few times and she has always done an incredible job. She is amazing with animals and when I brought my dog over to her house he felt right at home. Which put me to ease. She took care of him for a weekend and during that time I got phone calls, text messages and pictures sent to me. He looked so happy in the photos, always with a toy or some kind of bone in his mouth :) My dog is a rescue so he had a hard life and doesn't trust everybody. He took to Amy right away (and that says a lot) , he knew he could trust her and she was always playing with him, taking him for walks etc. She loves animals and that's what they feel. She also took care of my 4 cats in my home. She spent a lot of time with them. Made sure they had plenty of food, fresh water, that the litter box was empty and she also hang around to play with them. My cats are rescues as well so I was nervous about leaving them. But the same as with my dog, they were comfortable and loved Amy right away. She has that special touch with animals and she really connects with them. If I need help with my animals she is the one I trust with all of them! She also has a lot of experience with sick animals so if something were to happen she would know right away what to do. Amy is very trustworthy and she would never flake or not show up. I feel fortunate to have found such a wonderful sitter to my animals! read more

Amy is a phenomenal pet-sitter. She provided overnight care for our two dogs (poodle-terrier mix and hound) while we were out of state over the holidays; we are SO pleased. Amy did an exceptional job of learning about our pets' personalities and routines prior to our departure and made us feel comfortable with doing an extended overnight pet-sit gig in our home. She provided us with regular text updates to let us know how and what our dogs were doing--we could tell by the pictures that all was well. Upon our return we could tell both dogs were nurtured and well-cared as they were chill and happy. We have tried in-home and "Doggie Hotels" and it was clear that having Amy one-on-one relieved the anxiety and stress that happens when their "people" are gone. Wow, I cannot say enough kind words about Amy. We had not taken a vacation in a while due to one of our cats needing ongoing medical supervision. When the Holidays arrived, we felt in a bind. That is when we learned from our neighbors about Pets Love Amy. Amy took on the challenge confidently, caring for our kitty Chloe who was 14 years old and had a neurological condition that made her incontinent. Amy even sent photos and communications to let us know how Chloe and our other 2 cats were doing a couple times while we were away. Not only did she do a great job, but we saw how much she cared for our animals as if they were her own. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Amy. She house sat for me for ten days and cared for my dog and cat during her stay. She took loving care feeding, walking, playing, and attending to all of their needs. She sent me updates via text and photographs of my happy pets. She clearly loves animals and is willing to do whatever in necessary in her care of them. She even bought my dog a toy to play with. When we returned home I found everything in order. Floors vacuumed, mail brought in, plants watered. She even repaired a broken sliding door in my study, and had to deal with a plumbing issue. I have relied on Amy several times to care for my animals. On each and every occasion, she of course cared for my pets with the passion only a pet lover could. It didn't matter if I was simply running late getting home from work or being sent on a business trip, Amy was always there for my pets. Recently, she has been caring for my 9 year old cat named Kent. He is very particular about who he lets around him. He took to Amy in no time at all. She has gleefully even picked up after him when his rather uneasy stomach had acted up. She has been a godsend and I would be completely lost without her. Amy was the perfect caregiver for our cat. She really paid attention to all the details we went over, since our cat had a serious illness. There are many tricks and details about getting him to take pills or even eat, if his health was down. Amy took thorough notes to make sure she got it right. She was patient on the phone when I had some updates. Our cat's health was in decline and it greatly helped ease my worry about him to know he was in good hands during our trips. Our cat, who recently passed, was our treasure and she honored that in the way she made it a priority to learn whatever worked best with him. After reading Heidi's review, i had to write mine. I totally disagree with Heidi. Amy has gone out of her way to help me out with my dog situation. I am disabled and usually have help from my parents and husband to help with my dogs. When all of them left town, I was in great need of help. Amy came to the rescue. She drove a long ways to help me walk my dogs for a few days. She took great care of my two rotties. Rottie's are large dogs that don't take well to strangers. Amy had no problems and the next day, both of them couldn't wait to go on their walks with her. I believe that dogs know how to judge people and my two rotties would give Amy a rating of 11 stars out of 10. read more

Amy and Corn stayed with our 2 dogs and 2 cats for 14 days, including the July 4th holiday. I mention that because our neighborhood was firecracker central (from what I understand) and neither of our dogs likes fireworks. I really could go on and on but I will say that the dogs have extra toys now, our toilet no longer runs (a thing that started the day before our vacation), and they bought ointment for our dog who nervously licks his paw. There was excellent communication via texts and we got some great pics of our pets. There's nothing worse than going on vacation and worrying about your pet's happiness or health. Found Amy through her cute flyers in the neighborhood, and have not been disappointed! More than willing to deal with our high needs rescue pup who was very shy at first. They are now good buddies. When we got a second dog and they had to be walked separately, no problem. She is a great listener, pays attention to detail, and truly cares for your animals. We had her take care of our cat when we were out of town too. She even brought the dogs treats on her own dime. I have one extremely people loving pitty, who doesn't like most other dogs. Amy has been very good with her. They get along fabulously. Delilah loves her to death. Amy has been working with Delilah for a couple of years now. I recently got a slightly more apprehensive pit and she's taken extra time to come over on the weekends to get to know Curly so that he's more comfortable with her. My dogs are my babies, I trust Amy to take care of them and make sure everything is okay. Never had a problem. Amy is amazing. She was referred to me by a close friend who has a very difficult dog (who loved Amy at the first meeting - totally sold me). I always worry when I have to leave my 2 cats but with Amy watching them my anxiety went way down. She did a great job with both cats. Even the shy cat was pretty stable when I returned. She left my house in the same condition, was very neat/clean and clearly took wonderful care of my babies. She also stayed in touch with me to let me know how they were doing - very important to me. Amy is terrific! My dogs (Great Pyrenees) lie down facing the door when their internal clocks tell them it's time for her to show up! And when she comes in, they dance around her because they are so happy. I don't dance around her but I am so happy also. She is dependableand trust-worthy and loves my dogs and they love her. I've known her for about a year since her move to Delaware but I've known her uncle for at least 25 years. She is great with all dogs but especially pitties as she has owned them and loved the breed (including mixes) her entire life. read more

Well, a year has gone by since our initial review of Amy (petsloveamy) and our enthusiasm is undiminished. We have taken several trips abroad as well as CONUS expeditions and Amy has lived up to expectations each and every time. She has changed her schedule to accommodate our needs and always had our home and animals in great shape when we return home. I have a 130lb Choc. Lab and a 70lb Pit Bull. Most people who see my dogs run the other way. It was soooo hard to find someone to watch them when my husband was deployed and I needed to go out of town. Amy showed up and just started playing with them. They LOVE her!!! And she loves them! They get so excited when they see her! It is really hard to leave my babies but knowing how much they love Amy and she loves them, it helps alleviate that guilt! Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH AMY!!! My cats LOVED Amy. I have 2 special needs cats: 1 with diabetes who needs insulin shots twice a day & 1 who is hyperthyroid & had dementia who needs a pill twice daily. Amy took great care to make sure both cats got their meds in a timely manner. I trusted her to come into our home while we were gone. She took care to make sure litter boxes were clean, water & food bowls were filled. Her dedication to animals is evident & it's clear how much she loves her job. Thanks to Amy, I can leave on vacation and not worry one bit about the well-being of my somewhat fickle cat. Amy really loves animals, and it shows. She asks all the right questions about feeding schedules, food, medications, vets, emergency contacts, and alarms. She sent text updates during my time away, and even watered my plants as an extra. I can't disagree more with the lies Heidi wrote. Amy is an excellent pet sitter. You can tell immediately how much she cares for animals and how they are naturally drawn to her. I have used her with sick and dying animals, new born kittens and almost everything in-between. If you want the best animal giver look no further. it seems Heidi has a grudge of some kind. I did hear she is having an affair with Amy's wife. To try and mess with someones business is the lowest of low. I vote we support Amy!!! read more

Amy took great care of our three cats when my family and I went on vacation, twice so far. Last time, my older cat got diagnosed with cancer and started a bunch of new medications right before we left. Amy rolled with it -- stayed in touch with updates and photos, tried various ways of getting the medicine into the cat (not easy), and also took the time to play with our needy little kitten. I was able to relax and have fun on vacation because my kitties were in good hands. read more
