So this is an odd one. a friend was in a jam and asked me to go pick up his pup from the groomers at this location. So I did, and when I got the dog, he didn't really smell like he had been bathed... but I didn't think much of it. Anyways, I paid the tab and came back from Buckhead... when my friend saw the dog, he called the store to demand I get a refund. But Petsmart being Petsmart, they said I had to physically go in a store as opposed to getting refunded over the phone. Really disappointing experience all the way around. If Petsmart is going to offer these grooming services, do them well--or not at all. And it's the main reason why I bathe *my* furbabies at home vs. going here. read more

Dominique in the groomers section attitude is terrible. My dogs cut was only OKAY but for the price they charge and the bs attitude I endured while trying to get my dog checked in isn't worth it. Called back to speak to a manager about her and guess who got on the phone. Dominique!!!! I just hung up. Neverrrr returning again. This Banfield location itself is terrible. I moved to buckhead after 8 years in Marietta. I canceled my 24 year long account after my first encounter at the Buckhead location. DO NOT bring your pets here. I almost LOST my 7 year old perfectly healthy Maltese who I brought in for regular comprehensive and a week later he was gasping for his last breaths. I had to rush him to another ER and pay over 2000$ there. Don't waste your time. This place is just prescribing overly high epilepsy meds to our pets almost killing them. I was in the area, so I came to pick up some items for my dogs. The store was really neat and clean. Well organized, but needed to be restocked with many items. I purchase another dog tag for one of my dogs, and a harness. The prices also seem to have gone up a few dollars, but I needed the items so it's ok. The Petsmart website says you can "walk in" with a for a bath but when I tried to book two dogs in for baths, the online system was a nightmare that would not let me book the two dogs at the same time. I would book one, then try and book the other and inevitably find that there was not a second slot available simultaneously. After many attempts to find a time when the two dogs could be seen, I ended up booking the dogs 30 mins apart and when I phoned, whoever answered told me I could not drop them off at the same time for grooming (one dog would be 30 minutes early)How could this be a "walk in" service, when they make it this hard even if you book in advance? As I said before, If I could give 0 stars I absolutely WOULD. Shannon is an absolute nightmare. She is unprofessional, unkempt, abrasive, and lacks basic comprehension skills. I do hope to see us, as humans, and as women do better especially towards one another. There was nothing I did that warranted that type of behavior and I sincerely hope whatever Shannon is going through, she gets through it with a happier mindset. I really hate to write this review, but I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to someone else's dog. I took my Maltese mix here for a full bath and cut. I told them she doesn't like her face washed but that she should be fine. I dropped her off at 9am. I started to get worried around noon when I hadn't heard back. I received a call at around 2pm from the groomer that there had been an accident. Somehow, my dog's paw was cut during the grooming process and she was bleeding. He took her immediately to the vet (banfield) where she received 2 shots and some ointment (I'm assuming) to her paw. He said she was ok but he would let her relax for about 30 minutes before continuing. I was honestly in shock because this has never happened at the Cumberland location. When I arrived, she wasn't ready, he was still trying to groom her. So I spoke with the vet. He told me what he did but wouldn't answer my question regarding, what type of injections she received. He only responded yes when I asked if it was an antibiotic. He said he would give her some pain medicine to take home and a cone. At that point I was pretty concerned. A different groomer went to get my dog for me and he apologized profusely. He did give me a cone, that looked like it had been used, so I had to request a new one. He showed me the injury which seemed small but I couldn't get an answer out of anybody regarding what cut her paw. When the actual groomer showed up, he was very apologetic too, but I smelled alcohol coming from his cup. I took my dog home and started the pain medicine regiment. I reached out to corporate to express my concerns but I only received a generic email back. I am concerned that I never heard from the store manager regarding this issue. There might be a training issue. On top of that, my dog didn't receive a proper cut, and when I attempt to trim the mats from her chest (I guess he wasn't able to get to her chest after the injury) she's scared and trembles. I've been grooming her at home for 1.5 years due to covid, now I fear she might not even let me groom her. Don't take your dog here. read more

We used the pets hotel for 5 days, we had used PetSmart hotel in Colorado before and had a totally different experience! We didn't get any updates & when we picked our dog up they said she had a small accident and they had hosed her bed down and it was in the dryer. Her bed is Huge and when they brought it out it was soaked! They made it sound like no one is there overnight with the dogs?!?!? We had to put the bed in a trash bag & it was way more then just one accident that her was soaked through, she smelled like pee and so did her toys. They had no paper work stating how she did or that she was given her medicine. They even forgot to give us back her meds. We drove an hour and a half each way because we thought we'd get the same level of care but we were so wrong!!! I would avoid boarding at this location for sure!! read more

The haircut itself isn't horrible, although they didn't cut the fur on his tail. The customer service is terrible. They never answer the phone and have no concept of timing. Reconsider Doggie Daycare at PetSmart in Buckhead I was picking up dog food at PetSmart and witnessed the doggie daycare 'chaperone' relentlessly squirt dogs under her care for no apparent reason. I watched for about 15 minutes to see her squirt well-behaved dogs (especially the larger breeds) over and over again. They were not rambunctious or doing anything wrong, just wandering around the enclosed area trying to avoid her water bottle. I don't use their daycare, but I would want to know if my dogs were being treated that way, especially if I'm paying someone to care for them. I called the manager (no, I'm not a Karen, just someone who cares about animals) and let him know what was going on. He seemed nice and said he would check into it. Went to this location with the intent to purchase two fish as a Christmas gift to my goddaughter. We browsed in the fish area for about 10 mins before she picked the two she wanted. There was no one working the area so I went to counter to find someone to assist and the gentleman at the registered called for someone named David. I was told he was the one that could get the fish for us. After 20 mins David never showed up. I went back to the same person to re inquire about assistance and the gentleman pointed to David who still never came to assist. At this point he was also working the register and I was feeling ignored. What a horrible experience trying to but my goddaughters her first pet. We were in the store for about 45 mins with no help. The team shows our pup so much love for her monthly baths and spa dates. This visit, we did a full cut. She's a terrier mix but I try to keep her short during the warmer months, especially since we travel to Fl often. Her coat is healthy and shiny. They will do absolutely anything to not groom your dog and cancel on you. This has happened to me twice now - today I walked out. If your dog looks at them sideways, they'll say the dog looks uncomfortable and is having a bad day and to come back again. Cindy and the tall gentleman are the worst offenders of this nonsense -- the same thing has happened to my friends with these 2. Do yourself a favor and take your dog somewhere professional. Never leaving our dog here again. Dropped her off with basic instructions to feed her twice a day and bathe her on her last day. They didn't refrigerate her wet food and it went bad. What's worse is they must've kept feeding it to her because she had diarrhea for 2 days after and lost weight! Didn't even follow through with the bath we scheduled prior to pickup. Got a call halfway through our vacation saying we didn't show up for pickup when she wasn't scheduled for pickup till 4 days later. Don't leave your dog here....ever! This place is HORRIBLE !! i will never take me Doodle back to the Groomer . We had to take him back twice and still the issue is not taken care of . He went to get a hair cut and a bath and also his nails cut . 2 days after the bath he still did not smell good . I don't think they gave him a bath . His hair was the same when he came home his eyes was covered like he was never cut i called and complained and took him back and they may have cut a little but not where you could tell . and let them know his nails was not cut at all she said they would take care of it . Then we spoke to the store manger or the manger that was at the store , and OMG he was so rude , i have never been some where with such rude people . This petsmart is dangerous for your pet. They have no leadership and the inmates are running the prison. My poor pup refuses to go inside. I have to carry her. This is not normal. Every time I pick her up from the vet she smells like pee so clearly the spaces aren't hygienic or cleaned. For the groomer they never are on time which isn't as bad as my poor baby has been locked in a cage all day hearing dogs crying. How terrifying. It takes me a day to get her relaxed again. 1. The Buckhead PetSmart in Atlanta, GA charged me two additional nights for boarding and refused to correct their mistake when presented with their company policy. 2. My pet stayed Tuesday- Tuesday; I picked up my pet Wednesday before 11am. According to PetSmart's policy, boarding is charged nightly, so pickups before 12p on the following day do not receive an additional nightly charge; pickups after 12p receive a late fee of around $17 and pets that stay through the night are charged for an additional night. When I explained the company's policy to relevant staff, they refused to honor PetSmart's corporate policy. I confirmed PetSmart's policy with a corporate representative shortly after leaving the store. 2. The Buckhead PetSmart in Atlanta, GA failed to discount my pet's stay by one night despite the fact my pet had a multi-night stay during his first night with PetSmart, which is a promotion they advertised on their website. 3. The above resulted in PetSmart of Buckhead charging me an additional two nights before releasing my pet. 4. Upon pick up, my pet was out of food but the PetSmart in Buckhead failed to notify me of this occurrence. 5. Upon pick up, I noticed that my pet lost significant weight so I wondered how long he had gone since eating. 6. Upon pickup, I noticed that my pet had a bloody cut above his right eye. Despite having a vet on staff and, presumably some form of medical aid, PetSmart staff suggested I buy ointment or cream for him at the nearest drug store or take him elsewhere because their vet was busy/understaffed. 7. Finally, I had to interact with PetSmart's in-store retail staff and over-the-phone customer staff for a total of two hours and no one could simply reverse charges. No one disagrees with the facts. They were/are good groomers. My frustration comes from the fact that after 10 years of costumer loyalty, I get a call today from the Grooming Department Manager saying that my dog's hair qualify as a Poodle and therefore the pricing for grooming will change. This is after I left my dog under their care and they were already finished with her, so I had no saying in the matter. I stated that my dog was not a Poodle and I have the paperwork of the DNA test that revealed my dog is a mix breed of Lhasa Apso. The manager then refuted that it was company policy and if I wanted to contested I had to go and show her the paperwork before she leaves at 4pm. I can't leave work that early! And I even told them that I was picking my pup at 6pm when I left the dog in the morning! It's the first time I've ever encounter such a problem and I can't believe PetSmart would take advantage of costumer loyalty like that. I'm very upset and though leaving a bad review will not fix anything, I just hope that someone will read this and avoid being taken advantage of. I read some reviews about her below and thought, why not give her a try. She was great with my 12 week old puppy who had never been groomed before. She was very sweet with him. From her first interaction with him to her saying goodbye to Moo, I knew that I could trust her with my furbaby. At the end of the appointment, she gave me a status update on what he liked and what he didn't like about the grooming experience... which was great because since then, I've been getting him used to the blow-dryer! read more

This PetSmart is beyond fantastic. I've gone to them before for usual parrot & goldfish stuff, but today I rushed over there because I found out my goldfish likely had a fungal infection. I was freaking out and so nervous they wouldn't let me in, especially on a Sunday. I got there at 7:03pm (store closed at 7:00pm) and ran to the door to see if they were open and they had just closed, but a worker opens the door for me and I tell her about my situation. She asked if I knew exactly what I wanted and I said yes and she let me in. I rushed to get what I needed, and she even came over to help me. I cannot be more grateful! I am now treating my goldfish, who is a lot more lovely! I send all my recommendations to this PetSmart, everyone was so nice!! Please tell management how great this store is! read more

Terrible pet etiquette. I took my dog there for the first time to get his nails clipped and the original groomer Stefan never showed up. Another groomer named Ty took my dog and I told her he was blind and 15 years old. As she was raising the table, she let him fall off with out a leash on. Then she finally put the leash on him and he fell off the table twice again dangling from his neck!!! That was his first and last time going there. She didn't even apologize, she just said she could only trim his nails and not grind them because she needed both of her hands. Excellent customer service! The manager patiently helped answer all of my questions about flea and tick prevention. The clinic rep went on to answer even more questions that I had. Everyone seemed happy to help me and went beyond basic customer service. Additionally, Kevin A. was an excellent groomer. My dog is usually scared of men, but Kevin took the time to try and gain his trust. He also helped me find a way to bundle my services so I got the best deal. I really felt like Kevin was taking care of my dog and me. The haircut my dog received was much better than the one he got at the Ponce de Leon PetSmart location. The cut was smooth and even without any cuts or knicks to my dog's skin. (Last time this was not the case at the Ponce location.) I was very pleased! And...to top it off, we got a free pic with the Easter bunny while we were visiting the store. I will definitely be back to this location. They were great! read more

Cyndi in the groomer was the most impolite and inconsiderate person I've ever dealt with. I showed up at 7:20am to drop my dog off for a haircut. The appointment was for 7am. Since I was more than 15min late, she cancelled my appointment and wouldn't accept my dog. She was overbooked. Oh Cyndi, i'm sure everyone woke up at 7am to jump on a cancellation. My dog is doing his therapy exam tomorrow and one requirement was for grooming, the week-of, so I needed to find a place to schedule him ASAP. I have taken Bruno to various groomers in the past and we haven't really stuck with any because no one has really done a perfect job. Bruno is a Great Pyrenees so his grooming is not an easy task and most places will charge me an arm and a leg and take short-cuts. I didn't think Petsmart would be any different, as I have read some less favorable reviews. However, they did a wonderful job! It has been raining all week so Bruno's fur was muddy/tangly and not in the best shape. 4 hours later, he's soft, clean, and smelling great. Will definitely be returning!! Thanks Joey! read more

EVERY single time I happen to go with a lady by the name of Margaret is working and she is beyond amazing !! She is quick and helpful every time and remembers what I get for my dragon and always asked about her! She is very pleasant and the reason why I keep coming back to this one ! She even handles my online orders in a timely manner! The store overall has great and friendly people however Margaret goes above and beyond to help ! read more

Pluses- I love their animal care plans---perfect for a new mommy---its $30 or so a month and includes their annual shots and vaccines (that alone evens it out) and additionally office visits are free--translation peace of mind if they are acting weird or ate chocolate but seem ok and you just want to bring them in to be sure but not waste $80 on typical visit---Pefection. You only pay for extra services and /or medicine treatment but if sparky is ok and your just a hypercondriac then it doesn't cost you anything but time. The staff is really friendly and even does follow up calls to check on you after your visit. Negatives- They are quite busy so if its an emergency you might have to call around to other locations to get in quicker--but they have over 5 metro atl locations to choose from. Also sometimes i have waitied an hour to get in even when i had an appt --this is really not acceptable time management but i guess you get what you pay for in this area. read more

I am so disappointed with the grooming service that was done on my Wheaton Terrier. The Groomer gave her a visual inspection and I told him that she was matted. That was at 9 AM. At 1 PM I got a call from the Groomer telling me that my puppy was way too matted and I had two choices: 1. Pick her up and un-matt her myself and the bring her over to finish the haircut. 2. Shave all the matted area. I asked him how she would look after the shave haircut since I have never seen a Wheaton Terrier shaved. I was so appalled when I saw my little girl. She look horrible. Not only did the Groomer shaved her completely, except for the hair. But he charged me $100 for the shave. I could have done that haircut. In addition, I started to research about matting and Wheaton Terriers and it is very common. You just use some coconut oil and come away the hair that was matted. In my opinion, the Groomer did not want to spend the time to un-matt my puppy. I wish he would have told me that and I would have taken upon myself to un-matt her hair. I am extremely disappointed in the $100 hair cut and the nonchalant attitude of the groomer. I will never take my baby there again. I am so upset and angry. It will take 3 months for my puppy's hair to grow again. I wonder what the Groomer will think if someone gave him a horrible haircut. read more
