14 year old ShiPoo expertly groomed by Avery! I know people like to take their dogs to private groomers but we have used Bourne Pet Smart for at least 4 years. Easy to book and convenient times. I highly recommend them.

Mercedes "Benz" the groomer gives excellent cuts, but the customer comes LAST with Pampered Paws!…read more After TWENTY appointments at 11 AM over two YEARS, my dog had an appointment they scheduled for 10 AM today which apparently I had "confirmed" by auto-text a week ago? When my husband arrived at 11 AM he was informed they would not take my dog as we were "more than half a hour late" which is a "grace period", that our dog could be put on a "waiting list" and oh by the way when they would finally groom her whenever that would be, they wanted an additional $35 "late fee" for... what exactly? When it was them that wouldn't take the dog? Over the two years we were given crap for arriving BEFORE 11 "we have other clients you know" so today my husband actually spent time waiting around in order not to arrive TOO EARLY which he apologized to me for when he got home as if he wasn't doing exactly what Pampered Paws had taught us to expect to do. We have also been given crap for not picking her up early when contacted as if were supposed to expectd to be available, or for attempting to pick her up on time without being contacted, because it's somehow the client's fault that the groomer hasn't gotten the dog finished after FIVE HOURS at the boutique. One of them has very poor social skills and actually lied to my dog sitter back in December the last time Amber was groomed there; this woman claimed to my sitter that services are "never prepaid" and that my sitter was lying when she stated her experience to the contrary. As despite the labeled button on their website, Pampered Paws has no actual publicly available written policies, it's understandable that there is ambiguity, so a few days later I did have a conversation over the phone that seemed to clarify that prepaying was possible (which I knew because we had done it) but failed to address the issue of the rude behavior. Judee actually chuckled on the phone when saying that is "not their policy to release a dog without paying" as if we weren't long-term clients with known phone numbers who could have given a credit card over the phone if we had even been asked. She absolutely bungled that interaction but rather than apolgize she just doubled down on the sarcasm. I should have taken it as a sign there and then. Round numbers, I have spent $2000 at Pampered Paws, but they won't get another cent from me until they're "Under New Management"!

We were prepared to pay $150x2. Then she claims she losing money and will have to charge $100 additional!! What!!!! Our Naples Florida groomer charges $120 x 2, and they know how to groom Samoyeds with their double coats. The owner continually changes prices. She was rude and unprofessional. After 11 years!!!!! She has a policy of charging customers if they are late or need to cancel. However, she has called us numerous times to come at a different time or change our appointment to another day. We were nice enough to accommodate her. When we tried to remind her of that, she said she thinks more of herself to be talked to like that, told us that she was not going to charge us, take your dogs and leave. This is how you treat a client of 11 years.

This groomer was terrible…read more I specifically told them that I did not want my dog's hair cut too short. I only wanted a trim, his face shaped, and some hair taken off where necessary. I also explained that he had a few knots that I had already removed myself, and there were only a small number left. The groomer agreed and said that would be fine. About an hour later, she called and asked if she could cut him a little shorter because of some knots on his shoulder area. She assured me he would still look cute. I agreed, but only to a little shorter. That is not what happened. After waiting three hours, I went to pick him up and could barely recognize my dog. His coat was cut much shorter than discussed. I was so shocked and confused while speaking with the groomer that I couldn't properly express how upset I was at the time. When I got home, I noticed that his butt and bottom area were red and appeared scratched. My dog was also extremely scared and seemed traumatized by the experience. He did not eat for the rest of the day. I called the grooming salon back within about 20 minutes of getting home to discuss my concerns, but no one answered the phone. I am very disappointed with this experience. The grooming that was done was not what I requested, and I am concerned about the condition my dog was returned in.

I have used this groomer for my cat twice. The first review was a glowing account of a very nice…read morelady who did a good and thorough job with a skittish cat. I wish I could say the same for the last visit, but, unfortunately, I cannot.I will preface this review with my heartfelt uncomfortable regret for having to post a bad review. It's not my style; it's not something I do often or like to do. It upsets me to my core. That being said and with tears in my eyes, let's proceed. I will admit, it was nearly a month after the grooming that I contacted Alison to complain and ask her to fix it. My query was honest but not mean. The delay in contacting her was due to my being ill, and my not knowing what to say to her without hurting her feelings. Well...I've got to tell you I was shocked and appalled by her highly emotional, negative response which continued on as a barrage of nasty texts without my responding to most of it. What she said to me, how she said it and with vehement attitude was so far from any drop of professionalism or good customer service. She reported to me after both groomings that although my cat was skittish, once she started brushing her she calmed down and was a "total sweetheart", "no problem at all". I was happy with the first bathing, sanitary cut and brushout. The second time she went from wrapped in a towel and ran into the bedroom closet! I paid over $100 for what turned out to be a hack job of a grooming. She cut the center of her lower mane off and it just looks weird now. She was supposed to shave down her underside and butt completely. It's all uneven and looks ratty. The rest of her beautiful silky, shiny coat is now dull and when I brush her there are tons of loose clumps of fur that fly all over the place! Her fur is uneven on both sides, there are places that look chopped and she cut around the base of her tail...for what reason?? Not all of her claws were clipped, either! Looks ridiculous! Every time I look at my Tatum I get upset. I finally had to say something! Then she had the audacity to tell me my cat should be drugged. Not once, several times. I don't think it's the cat that needs to be medicated. For the record I sprayed her towel and her carrier with Feliway 10 minutes before she took her to the van. So, she was "drugged" but in a natural way. How dare she tell me to drug my cat!! She outright refused to do anything at all to Tatum or a partial refund or credit and chose to sever our relationship instead. Is this good business sense? I truly think she knew she had done an awful job and was trying to blame me for her lack of grooming knowledge with cats. The old Shakespeare quote, "Me thinks thou doth protest too much" very much applies here. So, I no longer can recommend this groomer in any capacity. She is not to be trusted as she is emotionally volatile, unprofessional and just not nice. Please do yourself a favor and find another groomer. I did!
