This place gets a bad rep for grooming, but we just had a great experience! Best groom my dog has had. Alicia listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. I even got a same day appt! Will return!

This is how he was to look.

Nicest people, but none have a clue on how to groom a dog. Do your pet a favor and take them to someone that knows what they are doing.

Thank you so much for having the recovery support body suits in stock! Thank you Rosemarie for your ultimate customer service! Our dog was spayed yesterday and having this suit is helping her heal more comfortably without having to keep that cone on her head!

Brought our 12 year old Persian cat for a bath and lion cut as she was pretty matted. Very nice lady, Erin, spent a lot of time with her and did an amazing job. We had a difficult time finding a cat groomer as our previous one had retired and closed her business. So glad we found Erin at Petsmart ! Our cat is very happy and sporting her new Christmas sweater till her fur coat comes back

Dropped my dog off for a groom, picked her up with all that hair missing and the area completely raw

The only reason I'm giving the grooming department one star is because they're friendly and sociable. I took my 13yo dog there and they left cotton balls in her ears after they cleaned them. We didn't notice back at home until she was not eating and stumbling around so we took her to the vet where they found and removed the cotton balls, which were causing an inner ear imbalance. We decided to give them another try because mistakes happen but with a different groomer. This time my dog came back with an area right under her butt very shaved down and raw, as well as some areas on her butthole. Poor baby has been licking the raw area since we took her home. Won't be coming back to this location anymore, it's a shame that they don't take better care of the animals, especially considering how much they charge!

We absolutely couldn't be happier with Linda at NJ Fix My Dog and the incredible transformation of…read moreour dog Millie. As first-time dog owners, we tried our best to train Millie on our own, but it just wasn't cutting it. We constantly struggled with obedience and her inability to listen to us, intense pulling when we went on walks, jumping, getting mouthy - the list goes on and on. We felt defeated and insecure - but as soon as we talked with Jean and Linda at NJ Fix My Dog, we felt hopeful! They assured us Millie was the kind of dog that could be helped, and they'd be happy to step in.  Throughout Millie's 2 week bootcamp, we received frequent updates from Linda on Millie's progress, photos, and videos. We missed her but we knew she was in excellent care and learning so much everyday. After the 2 week bootcamp, Linda brought Millie home and we were in shock at how well-behaved, and well-mannered suddenly became. The day she came home, Linda spent over an hour with us going over what Millie learned and how to work with her going forward. She also gave us a full document with an assessment of Millie's overall behavior, how to continue to enforce what she learned, and how encourage her along the way.  Before bootcamp, we dreaded going for a walk with Millie because of how she behaved when she saw other dogs (pulling toward them, whimpering, getting anxious, etc.), and how she walked in general (tugging and zig-zagging the entire walk). Now she walks like an absolute DREAM! Right at our side, a nice little trot, ignores other dogs, people, squirrels - everything! We could walk her all day long now, and we look forward to all our walks! Millie used to ignore us when we called for her, or told her "no" if she was doing something we didn't like, but now her recall skills are excellent and she runs right over to us when we call her. She doesn't even try to attempt the bad behavior she used to do, like jumping, getting mouthy, etc., and instead happily relaxes. Her overall demeanor used to be just a little bit intense, always on the lookout for something to get into - but now she is so calm and seems at east with herself. Linda worked WONDERS! We learned so much about Millie through this process, and we truly feel comfortable with what Linda taught us to help Millie be her best self. We feel like we have the tools we need, and the confidence. We feel the support of NJ Fix My Dog now even after Millie is back home - we know Linda is just a call or text away if we need any help.

We were seeking some help with our 13 week old Lab mix puppy's aggressive play issues…read more(nipping/biting) and other behavioral issues (walking well on leash, not dropping items off floor, ground, etc.). We were fully aware of what a puppy goes through at this age, however, we had never seen a puppy so independent/head strong before. Given we have two young daughters (9 & 5), we wanted to ensure our puppy established a solid behavior foundation. We found Jean & Fix My Dog after unsuccessfully working with a few different trainers online. Within the first 30 minutes of our session with Jean, we had already learned so much about both our new puppy's and our own behaviors. After the hour was over, we were very confident we had found the right place to help us with our puppy training. Given the current pandemic, we hoped to find a trainer that could not only help with the behavioral issues, but also socialize our pup well enough to other dogs, people, children, etc. As a result, Jean paired us up with Christy, a trainer who lives on a lot of land, has dogs and other animals, and plenty of people around to help socialize our pup. We spoke with Christy on the phone to go over her approach, felt great about it, came up with a list of behavioral focus areas, signed a contract, selected a day for Christy to come pick up our puppy, and off she went for 2 weeks! The training process was handled so well.. Christy kept us informed with photos, videos, and lots of daily updates. We were even able to do a few online video sessions to see our puppy and to ask questions about how the training was going. It was 100% clear that our puppy was getting the attention she needed and was being trained as part of a family and not as just another dog in a training facility. (SO IMPORTANT!) We were noticing tremendous progress with our puppy over videos after the first few days of training. When she returned home after the 2 weeks were up, it was almost as if we had a perfectly re-wired puppy. It was absolutely clear that the training was effective and our puppy now had a solid behavioral foundation to work with. Christy and her family were extremely loving with our dog, and were clearly able to address all of the behavioral points we asked for through positive reinforcement and appropriate correction practices. Upon her return, we received many instructional videos and a manual to keep us (owners) in line on how to maintain all of the great work put in place. If you were like us, seeking a trainer to help build a strong behavioral foundation for your puppy, I would HIGHLY recommend Christy @ NJ Fix My Dog. We simply could not have found a better situation both for us and our puppy.

Since he was young when we started, we first spoke with our vet to confirm they were okay with him going and under their guidance we planned his vaccines accordingly. Our vet also praised us for starting classes at an early age as these programs help lay down the foundation for a well-mannered and happy pup and also strength our bond. While participating in the puppy programs offered at My Dogs Got Class Javier has had early exposure to training and socialization. The trainers help to break down lessons into bite-sized chunks which makes it easy for us and Javi to absorb and remember. The incremental learning approach, focusing on name recall, collar/harness handling, and coming when called, is invaluable. We are confident that should any emergency situation ever occur, we are prepared to safely reunite with Javi. The trainers knowledge and informative guidance have built my trust in them. They make every session a joy and have helped us navigate any bad behaviors and offer us guidance on how to correct them. The socialization aspect is also fantastic; Javier gets to interact with other dogs and foster proper play behavior while a trained expert watches over. Our puppy's newfound skills are a testament to the effectiveness of the puppy programs offered at My Dogs Got Class. If you're looking to set your new puppy up for a lifetime of good behavior and happiness, the puppy programs at My Dogs Got Class is the way to go!

Things are already so much better in our home. Karin got right to the root of our puppy's issues and quickly came up with a plan for us to execute. She is a great communicator and just made everything seem doable. Most importantly, our dogs responded to her immediately. She clearly understands dogs and likes them. It was easy to see that, for her, it was about them as individuals, and not about a set method that she adheres to. From our first conversation, I could see that Karin loves what she does. Our first visit Matt told us his dog attacked his child on three different occasions. This didn't sit well with us AT ALL, but we decided to try a second session because we paid $580 and obviously wanted to get what we paid for. The second session I mentioned how our dog was very nippy and I'd like advice how to stop that. During this time he informed me his child just had a birthday party and his wife knew not to do it, but she let their dog out of the crate and he attacked a child. Matt seemed more concerned about his image as he said that it was embarrassing because everybody knew what he did for a living. This didn't sit well with me AT ALL and after discussing with my husband, we agreed that having a dog trainer who owns a reactive dog that attacks children can't possibly give us the tools we require to ensure our dog doesn't become like that. If he's unable to control his own dog then how can his advice and training rollover to his clients dogs? We hired Matt on false pretenses. Had he been upfront and honest with us that he had an out of control dog, then we would have never hired him. He refunded 1/3 of our payment due to him being uncomfortable working with us due to our concerns, which is laughable as we shared valid concerns. We 100% deserve the full refund since he was dishonest when we hired him, because no he could not give us the tools required to ensure our dog wasn't aggressive towards people or children since his dog is reactive dog. I'm truly disgusted by his business and for what he charges for 3 sessions considering he can't even train his own dog. So hire if you want, but be aware Matt has a dog in his home who attacks children so if that's the kind of dog trainer you want then go for it. I personally would rather hire a trainer who can control his own animals though.

We chose Best Friends Pet Hotel because it had more positive reviews than negative ones and it was close to home. We also loved the fact that we could upgrade our dog's stay to be able to see her in her room and watch her during outside play time. Initially we planned on the individual play package because she is very excitable around other dogs, but after speaking to Alexis early on during Brooklyn's stay, we opted to "try" group play. If things went well, Brooklyn could continue to attend group, but if it wasn't in her or the other dogs' best interest, we would continue with individual play. Alexis and the other staff members worked hard on getting Brooklyn to come out of her shell and made accommodations for her so that she felt comfortable in the presence of the other dogs (for example: bringing her out before the other dogs so that she could get acquainted with the environment). This was truly the BEST experience I could have hoped for during our trip as having her around other dogs has felt nearly impossible! Alexis emailed me pictures of Brooklyn and wrote me an email about how she was doing. I called again a few days later after having watched her each day play in the indoor and outdoor areas with the other dogs and was pleased to hear how well she was doing. The play area cameras allowed us to check in on her during play time and we also got to see the staff clean the area several times, which was reassuring. My only complaint (which may not even be a big deal for most if not booking "luxury" package) is that the pet cam in the "luxury" rooms is closer to the door, which doesn't allow you to see your dog if they are on their bed or towards the back of the room. We did catch Brooklyn a few times cooling off on the floor and when staff was picking her up/dropping her off at play times. Otherwise, everything else was great! If we had to leave Brooklyn outside of family's care again whether for a day or a week, we would choose this Best Friends Pet Hotel again.

Jenna was able to quickly ascertain that the behaviors mainly stemmed from Chance's lack of self-confidence (resulting in fear aggression) and our sessions focused on building Chance's confidence as well as rewarding and reinforcing positive behaviors. Jenna helped us (as Chance's owners) to better understand how our own previous reactions in response to Chance's behaviors and the training methods we employed were at times counter-intuitive to helping Chance learn how to behave and respond to our commands. Armed with this knowledge and provided with training exercises to work on after each session that focused on specific behaviors (i.e. proper walking, responding to unfamiliar people, exploring boxes to not be so fearful of them), we saw a noticeable improvement in many areas. By the final session, friends and family members were also commenting on how much of a change they saw in Chance, which we can say for certain is a result of our time with Jenna! We would highly recommend Jenna's services to anyone looking for help in understanding their dog's challenging behaviors and how to help correct them or for general/basic training.
