We have taken our cat in a few times for a nail trim, the lady Theresa is always very rude and unprofessional. She acts like its a bother to do her job, rolls her eyes and has a snotty attitude. I have spoken to a few other customers while waiting for our cat's nails trimmed and they state the same thing. This store will be losing a lot of business due to the unprofessionalism of this lady. This is the store in Colorado Springs, Citadel Crossing. They say she is the only "cat certified" person there, if that's true they need to hire a true professional and get rid of her. read more

I took my 107 pound English Cream Lab named Zeus, to Petsmart at the Citadel Shopping Center in Colorado Springs Colorado. At first I thought I was satisfied. Once I got him home after paying $90.00 bucks, I found out just how disappointing this grooming service was. I paid for the Furminator service with extra brush out and nails cut and ground. This was why I was charged so much! The associate said that Zeus, my 9 month old lab didn't want anything to do with the hair dryer. That he would also not allow the grinding of his rear feet but the front was definitely completed. First of all, the higher toe nail on the front two feet were not done. Or, if they were done, they are unacceptable. Also the brush out seems like it never even happened! Talk about being unsatisfied, boy oh boy. Today, I washed him myself and did a lot better job and I am no pro. Plus I am 69 years old and I don't have much use of my right hand. So just trying to paint a picture here. Had I paid only 45 bucks, then fine and I would be satisfied. I may not write a review, however better that then writing one such as this. I have had very good experiences with this particular location in the past. I had an American Fox Hound named Nemo and he shed so much more than Zeus, that there's no comparison. Whenever I asked for the furminator and brush out, boy they really did a great job and I was always satisfied! Where Zeus is so much easier to de-shed. So, what happened? I had to write this up because I don't want anyone else to go through this, especially being charged so much for a de-shedding groom and come away with a pup that was no better than when I brought him in. Sure he is huge and strong. He is a puppy. A puppy lab, may be a lot of fun, but mine is definitely a royal pain in the tush to groom. Having said that, this was exactly why I brought him to professional groomers... Or, so I thought! I don't care how tuff he is to groom! Almost paying 100 bucks should be enough to get a proper service and I absolutely did not! So, now let's just see what Petsmart is going to do about this! I plan to save every word I've written here and I will post as many times as necessary to accomplish some sort of end result.... I guess that's why there are so many other groomers. We just went in to get a dog tag made. The front of the store looked neat and organized. The reason for 3 vs 5 stars? The process of getting the dog tag made could be much more explanatory- with clear instructions as to where to find the dog tags you need to buy before then getting them engraved. We were back and forth trying to figure it out, and there were 2 employees present who never offered to assist. They just talked amongst themselves as we clearly looked confused and lost. read more

These people are rude to black people. I hear them greet everyone that comes in but when I come in. Silence, not even a wave hello. The only good and and customer service friendly person is the black man that works there. He is friendly and nice to everyone. Not just black folks. Everyone else looks at me like I'm stealing. Horrible feeling. And this is the place that has the dog food my dog eats so I come often. Definitely seems more convenient and a better experience to just order from chewy. I have a GREAT dog, He is a very mellow dog and did not deserve being bruised by the groomer on his back and around his neck. I thought going to this salon when I got him he was still damp and when I got him home I decided to use my brush to check his fur to ensure he was not sheading any further. I was surprised to find out my boys' fur was still full of undercoat and he was super sensitive to my light brushing on his back and around his neck/collar (HE FLINCHED, BAD). Bottom line ..... I spent $74.00 to have my dog hurt and I will never go back to that place. I've done my research and I am going to an individual that will ensure I am satisfied with this person's work. read more

We had enrolled our Siberian husky pup for obedience training. Our instructor was josh. He adhered to the class schedule ahead of time and was patient with the multiple pup parent personalities present in his class. He spoke loud and firmly and our husky was able to pick up the basics of training commands presented. Overall the price point class time and extras were well worth the low cost paid for. We definitely intend to advance her training on the next sessions available. I'd much rather stick with this particular trainer because his methods have proven to be effective. read more

Made an appointment for my 14 year old dog at the this location. Mind you, he has been a PetSmart groomed dog his entire life in Ohio Massachusetts and other areas of Colorado. They asked for his updated rabies vax record, which I brought , with his rabies tag. They would not accept it because our other dog was listed on the paper as well. Now the shots were all listed under the older dogs name but they couldn't prove which dog the tag was for because both dogs were on the paper, even though they were separated. I took the dogs to the vet together so they were both on there. Also the other dog was a puppy at the time and his age was in the paper and he was clearly not old enough for the rabies shot yet which was why we only had one tag. ( he has since received his shot as well). As I said before not the first time our older dog has been to PetSmart though the first time he had been to this location. All his information is in the system, including all his previous shots. We drove 20 minutes one way in the snow to make this appointment and we're turned away because one person in the grooming department did not like the shot record we provided. They did attempt to call our vet but the office was already closed. The Staff who made the decision not to serve us was not polite about it either. This is the last time we will go to this PetSmart. I will also include that we took him down the road to their competitors who accepted the record I provided and now have our business. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Do not day board your pets here. I left my 1.5 year old husky at the Petsmart N. Academy location and after I got home, I noticed a clear wound around her neck. It's clear that she was bitten and a good bit of her fur was ripped out. There was signs of dried blood around the wound and she was sensitive around the wound. Calling Petsmart, their manager claimed this was possibly due to "rough playing" in their doggy day care and they would examine by their on site vet. It's clear they aren't supervising the dogs during their play time, or if they are they do an exceptionally poor job that your pet can get hurt. If you sent your kid to a daycare and they came back home with a black eye, would you send your kid back there? read more

Banfield is by far the worst veterinarian office I've ever dealt with. Not only did they allow an individual who was removed from my account to make changes to my account. They setup one of my puppies on 6 months of heart worm prevention when I had asked for 12 months and to be billed with the wellness plan. Now they want me to pay out of pocket for heart worm prevention so they can give me the other 6 months of the prescription. I'm sorry I will not pay for your mistakes. Matter of fact I will most likely be disenrolling my dogs from Banfield and I will not pay any more of my money to Banfield. Worst vet ever! read more

I took my 8 month old Siberian husky Kai for a bath yesterday. This review is only in regards to the grooming salon in the store. Last time I took my dog here, he came home with yellow stains on his fur. I had a coupon so I figured I would give them another shot. I should have learned my lesson the first time. First I got a call around 11 am from the store. I didn't answer but called back right away. They tried to tell me I was late for my appointment that was at 4 pm???? Turns out they had the wrong dog. Sky not Kai was late. Super weird. Anyway I went in promptly at 4pm for the appointment. The lady at the front told me that I had to be there at 5:45 to pick him up and he would still be wet. Seriously??? Last time it took them 4 hours before I got a call to come pick him up. But because they closed at 6 they won't do the full job. I went to go pick him up and sure enough he was still wet. Very annoying for a $45 bath. Then the groomer told me his nails were too short to cut. I figured they would have at least ground them down. I haven't cut his nails in 2 weeks so I know it could have been done. The groomer also felt the need to tell me that the dog had not behaved. Did he bite or was he aggressive? Nope. Just didn't want to cooperate. Of course he didn't! He's a 66 lb husky that is still a puppy! This is why we take him to the groomers. You don't need to try and shame me because he didn't like being groomed. Then when I got home and was petting my pup, I noticed clumps of his hair coming out. They clearly didn't bother to brush him either. I spent about 45 minutes chasing the dog around the living room trying to brush as much as I could. I had enough fur at the end that I could have made another dog. Overall a sloppy job that I could have done better at a self service wash. If you aren't going to do the full job because you are closing soon then you shouldn't be taking appointments close to closing time. I will NOT be returning. read more

My dogs love their day camp! I take them twice a week to get some of their energy out. The day camp is in the PetHotel. The employees at the PetHotel are so awesome!! I can't thank them enough for taking care of my dogs as if they are their own. It is always very clean. And it's so nice that they open at 7 a.m. and close as late as 9 p.m. I would highly recommend the PetHotel to anyone. Even for the overnights because of the staff. The staff definitely makes this place incredible! They care so much!! read more

The management at this grooming salon at this location is so unprofessional. I brought my 7 month old German Shepherd puppy in for the works and the snotty lady at the front who was processing us acted like she didn't want to take care of my puppy from the get go. I had a harness on him and she insisted that she had to remove the harness and choke tie a thin lease around his neck and pulled. Clark ( my puppy) wasn't having it and began to pull back as he gasped for air. Then right away the individual told me that they cannot handle my puppy. So I went to a local family owned groomer and not only did they do a better job but they also didn't choke my dog. read more

I've had two instances at this location with the sales staff and then interfacing with the Manager - Cassie. We purchased a dog bed before Christmas and a month after realized the cover could not be removed for cleaning. When my husband and I went to return it, the sales associate treated us like we were criminals because I didn't have my receipt with me. The bed is only sold in this area by Petsmart. They still sell the bed on their floors. So I asked why she was being so rude to me, and it escalated into an argument, at which point the manager - Cassie came out to escalate the situation further. She threatened to refuse me a refund, but I explained that Petsmart did not have a policy in place to refuse me a refund. She then started telling me to stop yelling at her (I wasn't) and when I raised a hand to gesture (I'm Italian - using our hands when we communicate is something we do) she told me to not put my hands in her face (they weren't). She ended up giving me an in-store credit, and I used the entire amount to purchase food for my dog. Today I went in to purchase food for my dog ($80+ dollars) and asked to use the rewards amount on my Petsmart card to help pay. The sales associate, Brianna, told me that she could not accept my Petsmart card, that they only accept phone numbers. I told her all the other Petsmarts in town are continuing to use the Petsmart card or enter the number on the back to access my rewards. She refused and began arguing with me. I asked her why she was arguing with me, when I was just stating the facts as I know them. It escalated into an argument, at which point the manager - Cassie came out to escalate the situation further. She again told me to stop yelling at her (apparently one can only whisper to Cassie - which I did), then as I used my hands to gesture, she told me to not put my hands in her face. Apparently, Cassie and her employees need a safe space. Anyway, she refused to provide me my reward amount, at which point I told her I would report her to Petsmart. Poor manager, poorly trained employees. Petsmart has such poor reviews across this city that I will purchase my dog's food elsewhere. I will be reporting the incidents to Petsmart. I am astonished how nice the people were in this store! I have been to several Petsmart stores and hands down the people at this store were more helpful and more personable than at any other store, in any other state. We couldn't remember what brand we fed our dogs (one of those days) and the girl helped us find it by description alone. Then we couldn't find our prescription for special food. The checkout girl was just great! We were able to go to Banfield and get a copy. And the people at Banfield were just as fabulous! This trip to Petsmart was a real spirit lifter. I normally go to the Powers location however yesterday they were out of the feeder fish I needed for my sons turtles. So I went to this location. I typically spend a couple hundred dollars a month at Petsmart between dog food and toys and ferret food and supplies as well as supplies for my sons turtles. Until now I had never had a problem with Petsmart. When I got the feeder fish yesterday I also asked for some pest snails as my sons turtles eat those as well. You can clearly see them all over the tanks. However when I asked for some the young girl working asked another lady about them, her response was sharp and rude. "I don't pick snails out of the tanks for people" as she walked away. Uhm ok so you don't do your job?! I have NEVER had a problem at any other location with this. Why should I drop $200 at your store if you can't be bothered to grab a few snails that your just gonna kill anyhow?! I already have been told you put something in the water to get rid of the pest snails and every other location will take the time to get them for people with no hesitation. I will never be back to this location. I don't do rude people. Especially someone who is allowed to be rude on the job for no reason. I'd have something to say if she was my employee. If you can't be bothered to do your job you shouldn't work with the public. Not ok Petsmart. When I was told this I just told the girl that it's ok I will just go to the other location for the snails. It isn't a big deal, but inconvenient that I had to make another stop on my way home all because of lazy employees who clearly don't care about your business.
