I have taken my dog to get groomed here a couple of times and each time he was left very poorly, not being completely clean, or not brushed thoroughly. The last straw was being booked with Megan A who did a terrible job. I asked her to trim under my dog's ears where he tends to scratch and it clumps up and she didn't. She left him with so much hair even though i booked more time for brushing. I called to get him fixed up and they couldn't fit him in within the three days so I would've had to pay more which is ridiculous that i paid all this money and Megan couldn't even bother to take her time and do it right ! Love taking my puppy to Petsmart's grooming department for their PAWdicure Plus every month. The groomers are always so eager to help my girl & always compliment how well she does. I've gone 3 or 4 times now. Takes about 10-20 minutes so I just walk around the clean store & find a treat & toy to give my puppy afterwards. Unfortunately management makes it almost impossible to reap the rewards from the program. Today I purchased dog food. I passed a sign promising 10 times the reward points for members. Came in for grooming today and was entirely ignored by a lady with purple-ish hair. I know there are two entrances to this store And I was waiting on the store entrance side. I made sure there was no one in the other side while a rottie was getting checked in with its family. This employee came into the grooming sapling while I was waiting outside as well. Shortly after, another lady was waiting on the other entrance waiting to get checked in. Right when the rottie family left, I entered the store, and right after, the other lady waiting entered, and there was no "I'll be right with you" or anything she completely ignored me with my two dogs and only attended to the lady that was waiting after me. I did not feel welcomed at all and felt weird being completely ignored until another blonde lady come out from the back asking me if I've been helped a few minutes later and then checked us in normally. I took my dog in to get groomed here for the second time and asked to have the same services as our first visit. The groomer checked my dog's skin and coat throughly and everything looked great. During the grooming session, we get a phone call that my dog has broken out in a rash. Once we got her home It was getting worse by the day and I was giving my dog Benadryl to help with the itching from the hives. I called and talked to them about it and they sprayed my dog with cologne even though they weren't supposed to. We have had that written in her file from previous Petsmart locations. I asked to have her rewashed and the groomer said all of her hives were in the area where she sprayed the cologne. I had a huge vet bill due to the hives because of the cologne she was sprayed with and they will not reimburse me. I will not be taking my dogs back here again. Very disappointed! She broke out these hives everywhere. Even her ears!!!! After I brought my vet bill to them, they said I should've brought her to their vet. So ridiculous!!! I took my baby for grooming and it turned into a horrible experience. My dog ended up losing her ear due to the negligence of the groomer and lack of response from the Store Manager Steve and the Bansfield Staff they have onsite. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE FOR GROOMING!!! My baby came home w a swollen ear. I immediately called the store and let them know that my baby wasn't doing well. I had to wait until the next Monday for their onsite vet to see my pup. Ultimately they said she had a hematoma caused by a razor burn or the groomer pulling too hard during grooming. They assured me my pup would be fine and scheduled her for surgery for the hematoma. Leading up to surgery the Store Manager Steve kept trying to wash his hands. Ultimately, their "Safety Committee" confirmed that it did happen at their location and they would be responsible for medical costs. I called several times leading up to her surgery to let them know my pup wasn't doing well and they would either never return my voice messages or told me she would be ok and that they couldn't take her in any sooner. The day of surgery the Bansfield Vet called me and said this was beyond her level of expertise and that I had to rush my dog to a specialist. We rushed my baby to an animal ER where we spent the whole day waiting for our baby to be checked out. The vet at this hospital stated that my baby never had a hematoma but rather a RUBBER BAND THAT THE GROOMER SO NEGLIGENTLY WRAPPED AROUND MY PUP'S EAR THAT BASICALLY SERVED AS A TOURNIQUET AND IT ENDED UP PRACTICALLY CUTTING MY PUP'S EAR OFF. Her ear was holding by centimeters. Then the Store Manager had the audacity to call me to ask me how the rubber band ended up in my baby's ear...EXACTLY WHAT I DEMAND TO KNOW! Again, he was trying to wash his hands from this horrible incident. Their insurance ended up calling to apologize stating that the manager didn't know what was going on and that they have confirmed that the rubber band DID in fact come from PetSmart Grooming and that they would be covering all costs. That's great but that doesn't change the fact that my baby suffered through so much pain to the point that she was left no other option but to lose her ear. It doesn't change the fact that had the Store Manager and Bansfield Staff been RESPONSIVE my baby wouldn't have lost her ear. Throughout the process they were simply more interested in just going through the motions rather than providing the proper care for my baby. This situation has been incredibly distressing and devastating for my family and I. Please, please please just take your puppies elsewhere. I tried to take my cat in for a claw trim, and I was told it was walk in only and I couldn't make an appointment and was told I could come in any time. So after stressing my cat out and putting him in a carrier, I felt a hunch to call them and asked if bringing him in anytime still worked. It wasn't. They only have one cat groomer and they only had availability at the end of their day, which was 5 hours later. Okay. It's kind of silly to not be able to make an appointment for nail trims, especially when there's only one person grooming cats and you won't be able to get a walk in appointment at all. Took our Maltese and American bulldog to get groomed today. I was in a rush to get them to my car because it was so hot outside for them. when I picked them up I didn't really look at there grooming too much until I got in home. Our Maltese looked nice until I really looked at her. And she had dry blood on her hair near her mouth. As I took a look at it closer and opened her mouth I saw she had a cut. I don't know how they cut her. But she wouldn't let me open her mouth again because it hurt her. My poor baby. I've been to this PetSmart on several occasions. It is clean and they have all the good stuff for pet care. I love all the cute pet clothes that they have on display in tubs and hanging on isles. It's the cutest stuff! I remember during Christmas one year; I found some snow boots for my pups. It was adorable! She absolutely hated the snow boots, but that's not the point lol They kept her little feets warm in the snow! I found a matching pink jacket that was cute with the boots. They have a good selection of doggy treats and dog food as well. Pet beds galore. Basically, anything for caring for your pets too, like shampoos, conditioners, stuff to kill fleas etc. And of course, your furbabies are allowed to come i and shop with you! TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE PEOPLE! BS and everything they did to my mom myself and my dog. We needed to take our boy to get his ears cleaned. He was a stray that I picked up 7-8 months ago. My boy is super social, loves everyone and submits. These A holes at petsmart made me and my disabled mom take our Bruno in for his ears to get cleaned and flushed., and not one employee told them that, "hey we will prescribe you the medication for 300$ and you have to do the job and do everything. We brought our boy in and this lying ass employee who said the doctor is doing a surgery and will take care of our boy when he's done. We believed it and this and these employees from petshit did not once say or mentioned that they will hold my pup for 7 hours for no reason and just waste my disabled mom and my time. We were calling and wondering what's going on, it's been 7-8 hours and no one called us, and then they say he is ready, we go back in and no one even touched or treated my Bruno, they just shoved a bunch of meds in our face and said it's your job, your dog didn't allow it. My boy is the easiest dog I have had and I knew it was laziness bs excuses. They were so quick to charge my disabled mom who is suffering from the loss of my dad including me. They lied and charged us 300$ for meds to shove in our face, and not once told us that we are the ones who has to flush his ears, not once, if I have to do it, why would I pay you 300$ for 10$ antibiotics??? And not once they called and relayed any info. They didn't even touch my dog other then Shoving him in a cage and still came out and said sorry, your dog wasn't okay with it and you need to do the flushing yourself and still wanted to charge me and mom 300$ , I brought up why didn't you tell me this, why didn't you call me for this if that was the case?? Why did you make my dog sit in a cage where he can get more sick with these other dogs???and they had no reason or excuse why they made me leave my dog with them in a freakin cage for 7 hours. They didn't want to answer the phone when I called them, but they quickly and gladly told me it's 300+ dollars, charged me, THEN explained "yeah your dog didn't allow us to do anything, here is all you need to hopefully clean his ear", I'm a car salesman and we don't even do anything close to what these subhumans do at this , they are straight LYING SCAMMERS. They do not care about your loved one's. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET THAT YOU LOVE TO THIS ASYLUM. So i have waitied over 10 business days for a refund from this terrible petsmart store. The manager and there employees did not explain or do there job right when I brought my 11 month old dog in for ear cleaning, they told us it will take a few hours and for us to leave our dog there. Only to let over 5 hours go by and no one called us, we eventually returned since no one wanted to answer the phone or give us a call back for an hour, we got worried and went back only for them to give us our dog back untouched, held our dog hostage with other dogs only for him to get sick and get kennel cough, first they charged us over 130$ and then told us they never touched our dog and told us we need to do it and and tried to shove all these kits and meds after they charged us. Told them we did not agree to holding our dog hostage here for no reason, why did they even make me leave my dog there for over 5 hours and couldn't even call us back to pick him up? Couldnt tell us anything until they charged me first when i was wondering what the heck is going on, it shouldn't take me over an hour to get a hold of there department. We wait over 10 business days and we still dont have our money and they even gave us a receipt for the refund, I even went to my bank and they said PetSmart issued a refund and then they charged me again right after for whatever reason. I go back today to the petsmart and explain how is it for or normal for you to hold my money i need for my dog for 40 days? Im already struggling financially since I lost my dad a month ago and now my poor dog needs to wait another 30 business days for these low lifes to give us our money back. what place holds it for 30 days, i thought it was maybe my bank and I assured it was not my bank but the actual business. The Betta fish section is very disappointing, the last few times I have been in the store the cups of water are green and brown, half the Betta fishes are dead the other half look sick and awful. The last time we went my poor daughter left crying because she felt so bad for them and unfortunately, it's not feasible to just buy them all up and try to save them. They are living creates, this is cruelty, and is really terrible for a pet store that claims to have a passion for pets and pet care, they can't even take care of the Bettas. If they can't be cared for properly then stop selling them. Upon bringing Nala for her first appt, Liz did so well with her. Nala was instantly comfortable and happy. Liz was gentle and patient with Nala and very good about keeping me updated with how Nala tolerated all treatments. Nala always leaves happy , clean, soft, and confident. Do not book your dog grooming service with Jessica. She overcharged me, called me in the middle of my dog's grooming service and tells me that my dog has been getting tired too quickly and has been getting multiple breaks, thus it took her longer than expected to groom my dog. He still needed a bath when she called and told me if I wanted my dog to complete his bath, it would be an additional $20. My dog is a senior and I told her from the beginning that she would need to be gentle with him. She reassured me she will and because of his age that she will take her time and informed me of the price increased prior to leaving. Then she proceeded to call me and increased the price again. When I arrived to pick up my dog, she increased the price a third time and told me to pay in the front and return for my dog. I paid and when I received my dog, he was unfinished. Jessica stated that my dog gave up on her and therefore, she was unable to complete his haircut. More like, she gave up on my dog. It is easy to blame the pets when they cannot speak for themselves, and we are not able to watch them. To add to this, prior to getting him groomed, Jessica requested I come back the next day after my appointment when I arrived because she can tell my dog is going to take longer than usual, and she has a short day today and does not want to work past 1 pm. I completely understood, I don't want to be at work longer than I have too either. I left and arrived the next day. Jessica has no respect for customers and completely takes advantage. I was respectful, calm, and professional the entire time. I did not complain about anything. After all, she had my dog, and I did not want him to be treated poorly. The reason I came here is because my regular groomer could not schedule my dog earlier and I have been wanting to give PetSmart a try. I live a couple off ramps away from this Petsmart and honestly never knew it was there! Nestled away in the Walmart/Vons shopping center, it's barely visible as everyone goes west towards Costco. So I came here for the first time the other day and I'm so glad I did. I was very impressed how clean and spotless the store was. I had just left Petco and was annoyed with things out of place, not stocked and a very raunchy smell.
