Fire the manager Sarah has a dozen terrible reviews calling her out as a very terrible manager. Fire the corporate IT team for living in the 90's you can't use a Visa card with a PO box for billing address. Why do hundreds of companies I've ordered from the last 30 years have this option? Are you aware how many million dollars this costs your company?. Now read this mind blowing experience from your Dearborn Mi store yesterday.  After trying several times to order online for the 20% off sale, I gave up and went to the store a few hours later, now it's really good. I asked a young lady working in the aisle stocking to help me. She listens and says let me talk with the manager on the radio. She tells me Sarah said easy just go to the front and purchase a gift card for the amount you want to spend. Sounds great. I picked up 2 bags of Dry Dog food, the same as in the online shopping cart. I did exactly what the manager said, purchasing the card then took a seat on a flatbed cart to order. Note this all happened just outside the manager Sarah's office in front of the store.  Now this crazy vengeful Manager Sarah sends a lady employee out to tell me and the cashier, while looking directly at that most orders take 1,2,and most likely 3 hours to be ready for pickup. Bullshit I have my cart right here and did what Sarah said, she made no mention of any time to receive. Sarah actually sent the employee out of her office to rile me up.  Well it worked totally pissed off, lied to by your store manager Sarah FIRE HER.  Gets even better after going back and forth. She said didn't you read the fine print on the order you just placed, hell no I didn't because you told me how to order. She finally said I don't like the way you are talking to me and I should just cancel your order. As a manager myself for 30 years in retail this would get me fired as Sarah definitely should be. I'm to review this on a dozen sites and send it to the board of directors and corporate offices. All this because you are 30 years behind the times to use a credit card for online orders. read more

This location and the groomers there are fabricators. I made an appointment for my dog and mind you this isn't his first time going, the groomer was an African american female at this location. She stated that my dog growled when she ran her hand down his back. Thus has never happened before, they usually just put the collar around his neck and take him to the back. My dog is very friendly and playful. He's an american pit bull. MIND I told her IF he growled at you then by all means I'm not leaving him with you. This place is probably us connected with the virus that's causing dogs to die. My dog probably didn't like her sent. He's funny like that. read more

PetSmart is my favorite pet store to do business. Friendly staff and very helpful. I'm visiting from California and needed to grab a small bag of dog food and this location offered to hold it for me so I could pick it up. The store is very clean and well organized. I like their little clothing selection for dogs. It's actually more than I've seen at this location vs the location near me in San Diego. This location also seems much bigger. read more

Today I went into pet smart in Vineland nj .There was maybe three people working around and I was very shocked how exspensive compared to Chewy My puppy need anal wipes and chews and it's was triple what Chewy charges. This place has come around, about 3 years ago it wasn't my top choice to go there but it has really come improved within the last year. Cashiers are always helpful and patient, they actually tell you when there's a deal on an item you're buying that maybe you overseen. They greet you the minute you walk in and follow up with any need you might have during your visit. I like to change things up with my fur-baby monthly and they assist by giving me great ideas which is always a hit with him! They are now my go to place, won't even go to another location because they aren't as helpful or hands on like this place. read more

Very nice customer service. The women at this location are very attentive and caring to its customers needs. Returning without a receipt is not a problem, they usually find your purchase by phone number. Animals are welcomed and the staff is very hospitable. I took my Yorkie in and asked them to shave him all one length including the ears and his muzzle. I literally said, "make him look like a Chihuahua". I showed them a picture of how he has had it done in the past elsewhere. He came out with a CHOPPY Yorkie cut, nothing like I asked. The next day he was scratching and biting at himself so I gave him a bath and dirt poured off of him! This was not a little bit of dirt from his feet this looked like they didn't even bathe him at all. This was a last-minute decision (and the wrong one) to go in and get his haircut there because my other dog got an ear infection from getting bathed there. This location is convenient when I need something quickly. I don't shop here regularly. The last time I went in there, I bought 3 cans of dog food and some dog biscuits. I was asked if I wanted a bag. Seriously????? Why would I not want a bag? Is there a shortage of bags? I could understand if I just had one item or maybe two. Who carries around three cans of food and a bag of biscuits? I'm just wondering if the cashier was lazy and she didn't want to put it in the bag, or what? It used to be no matter what you bought the items would go in a bag and you would be on your way. Also, the days of someone in the store telling you thank you when you purchase something are long gone. It went from "Have a nice day" to "there you go". What does there you go mean?? I haven't heard thank you in a very long time. Not only here, but other stores as well. People just don't have manners anymore. read more

I rarely come to this location - it's not that i don't like it but out of my way really; I actually was in the neighborhood and needed to pick up a few things. There wasn't a ton of employees around but the ones that were available - greeted and asked if i needed any assisted; also informed me of the dog food special for today. Not sure if this store is going to close soon because it looked a little more emptied compared to other Petsmart locations. I was totally impressed by the fact you are able to book your grooming online instead of calling all of the time - but as right now this is the only location i know which offers this feature. I hate to use the word hate but I hate this pet store. Its the closes one to my house so that's the only reason I come here. If you are buying crickets for a lizard DO NOT GO HERE. There is never anyone in the area to get crickets, they have to get on loud speaker three times before someone helps you. Or its a very long line u wait 20mins to get crickets then u have to get in line to cash out. The reason it takes so long is cause the person that does the crickets also does the fish! So if someone is picking out fish relax. Now u will see 5 to 10 workers walking around and u will wonder why the hell no one helps the cricket/fish girl. the manager was around so I said hey I hate coming here this girl is always overwelmed and no one helps her. I said I'm a manager some where and when my staff is busy I go help them, do u know what he told me? He told me not just anybody can scoup out crickets, u have to be certified to scoup out crickets . and most of the workers aren't certified including himself. I'm thinking wtf! You got to be certified to scoup out crickets????? But wait as manager why aren't u certified in everything???? I don't usually go home and write corporate offices but I think I am. This is your run of the mill Petsmart. Not bad, nothing special. The reason for my low review is that the last two times I've been in, I've seen some questionable practices from the grooming area. Both times, they've had a dog screaming while they are brushing it. And by brushing, I mean literally slapping the dog with the bristles of the brush. The poor dogs are whimpering out of pain-- the last time I was in, the groomer literally grabbed the dog by his leg and was holding him up with his leg cocked sideways. No wonder he was crying. She managed to catch me giving her a look, and stopped holding him up like that. I get that dogs don't enjoy being groomed, I get that if they have mats, it can be uncomfotable, but it seems like this location is far too rough with these dogs.Luckily our dog doesn't need grooming, but I'd seriously reccomend if you are needing a groomer to go to someone local who actually has passion. read more

They have a large variety of food but tend to be over priced like any other specialty pet store. I can buy the same cat food cheaper at Meijer by a few bucks. They have a discount section in the corner of the store but you won't find any great buys. They have a bring your pet photo every December that benefits an animal shelter which is nice. They also have a grooming area with glass windows so that customers can watch. read more

Their tanks are full of dead, dying and decaying goldfish and tropical fish. Their bettas are already suffering in those tiny, filthy cups but to make matters worse they are marketed to customers in 1/2 gallon tanks or smaller, often with no heater or filter. Their poor reptiles often have empty water dishes and excrement sitting in their tanks for days. I regularly wait more than 10 minutes for crickets. Some of the employees seem okay but obviously have their hands tied and lots of other employees stand around texting in plain view instead of responding to the intercom to help customers. This place is in desperate need of new management. read more

I love this pet smart it first started when I adopted my dog (not from them) they gave me a book of tons of coupons and also recommended good food for sensitive stomachs. My dog gives me such a rough time when I try to groom him. So I gave up and decided to make regular visits to the groomers. I gotten him groomed there today and the woman who worked on him was super sweet and super patient with him. I picked him up happy, clean, and shorter nails. We thought it was a great experience. Out boxer looked awesome her nails, teeth they put a cute bandana on her neck, also brushed her teeth and you can tell she loved the experience.
