"Stephanie" at PetSmart on 41 in Fort Myers is such an expert & OUTSTANDING groomer!! I've been taking my dog to her for about a year & she's fantastic! HIGHLY recommend Stephanie. My dog is a 6-7yr adopted Aussie Shepherd, who is very anxious & reactive to many things. Stephanie has extreme patience, kindness & handles him so well. Great selection of toys and cat supplies. My three year old goes through toys incredibly fast because he is rough on them. He loves his jalapeño pepper and his croissant with a beret. I like this store because they have lots of toys to choose from and staff is nice. It seems like I'm buying toys all the time so it's nice to have selection and service. read more

I like this location because they carry the huge bag of cat food I need for my cats so that's very nice. Most staff is pleasant. Today the lady at the register scanned one of my items twice and when I said it's but 3 get the 4th free she proceeded to tell me I was wrong and jipped my kitties out of their free toy instead of double checking and helping me out. I checked my receipt later and I was right- she totally messed up but I was too far to turn around. Thankfully petsmart is awesome with coupons so it was like the toys were free anyway. However that's not the point and they should have better customer service. Also my fault for not going to the younger man on register. read more

Made an 11am appointment and came in with my puppy and even though I had entered all of his size info correctly, she told me she wouldn't have enough time to do his full cut because he is too big. This is more of a reminder than anything else. Check the expiration date when buying frozen dog food ; I bought some frozen dog food there and it was eight days past the sale date when purchased and the food was bad; I hold myself just as responsible as I should have checked the expiration date. The staff is friendly and had no issue with the return . I will continue shopping there. Like I said, this is more of a reminder than anything else I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep track of everything in a large store. read more

The only reason this place got three stars for me is because of this one worker specifically she's always just rude not polite in any way. She's a shorter older woman with short brown hair every single time I happen to need her help. She will literally ignore me. On two separate occasions I've needed crickets. She's walked over in my direction so I waved like a friendly hello and she literally turned around and walked the other way into a back room or something so i sat for another 10 min cause maybe she got called to do something I'm not one to question and after those 10 min I go to the register and ask for help. The lady that saw me and turned around literally came out of the back room she went into it. And not a hello how are you sorry about the wait it was "how many" with the most attitude I've ever heard. Than the second time she was cleaning the tanks right behind where the crickets are at. And I yet again probably stood there for 10-15 min while she's just cleaning these tanks. She made direct eye contact with me maybe 2-3 times. So I finally got annoyed waiting for this girl to have some sort of customer service and ask me if I need help. So I go "excuse me can I please get some help with crickets" and she literally says "well maybe if you let me know that's what you needed than yea I can't know if you don't tell me" and I literally told her "I thought you would've had enough customers service training to see someone standing here for 10 min in the exact same spot to know they need help and you'd come ask" She got off her ladder came over and rudly chuckled under her breath and went "how many" didn't ask if I wanted cardboard or calcium nothing. If I see this lady by the crickets I literally leave cause I refuse to speak to her now. You guys need to teach her some customer service. Or fire her cause clearly she hates her job. read more

The RUDEST least helpful people work at checkou!! This has been consistent -they don't speak clearly, dont offer to help or really respond to your questions and beh as though you're a problem to them just being there! To add insult to injury, they now are charging you .10 for a bag to put the $2.00 tiny cat food cans in so you can not drop them on the way to your car!!!! STOP. DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE FOR A GROOMING. I took my neighbors dog a Shih Tu to get a hair clip and I ended up with a dog I could not even tell what she was. My instructions were to shave the body, leave the tail alone, a light trim of the ears, trim the beard short and the face by the nose a bit short. What I got was shaved ears (not trimmed actually shaved balled ears) a tail that was only about 1 inch long, a bald head and her face left long. They had spots that were long and short all over her body and never did cut her private area short as I had asked. The groomer said they decided she would look better with shaved ears and tail. She looked like something out of a horror film. The Christmas special was 18.00 for the works, they charged me $68.00 to cut her. I should never had paid for her cut. Even I could have done a better job at cutting her. I will stick with Shampoodle on McGregor Ave. They do a great job. The only reason I didnt go to them was that they were not an option for a week. read more

DO NOT USE PETSMART FOR GROOMING Their online scheduling tool is terrible.It allows you to schedule appointments that can't keep. Long wait times to get in the groomer area of the store. Their time estimates are rarely accurate. We used them for years, but it has really gone downhill and we will never be back. Today I took my dog for a bath (I made the appointment a week ago) and it is supposed to last 1-2 hours. After 2 and half hours nobody call me so I called the store and talked to the manager he said my dog was ready for pick up. When I got there the lady gave me my dog and said they didn't do anything because someone assigned Stephanie who was off to do the service. So my dog was there the whole time for nothing and the manager said he was all set and made me drive there for nothing. I really needed it so now I'm waiting 2 extra hours. I have a beautiful, sweet baby dog who is a Bull Terrier. In response to your decision to exclude pit bulls, bull terriers and any breed that has characteristics of these, from your day camps......WOW! I for one, among many, will no longer buy from your business first of all, secondly, to clump dogs in a group as "bad" is insane and so wrong! Dogs just like people should be characterized individually. I have spent a lot of time with some of the sweetest dogs and they were pit bulls or bull terriers. And for your information as far as the Bull Terrier breed, the "bull" is from bull dog not pit bull. Either way, none of these breeds should be judged as a group, again, there are bad dogs just like there are bad people BUT the occasional bad dog does not make the entire breed or breeds that look like that breed etc, bad!! Nice staff, decent pet products and pricing but for the love of animals (which, PetSmart, I assume you love animals) please move your cat adoption area to the front of the store. And if you cannot do that please put a large cage upfront so these animals can at least stand and walk around occasionally. What you offer them is close to abuse! If you cannot or are not willing to listen and perhaps you should reconsider yourself as a place for adoptions. I would hate to see that because these animals need homes. Other pet stores have no problem doing this. Think it through, if these kittens and cats find homes then their owners will need products... Get the drift? read more

PetSmart located at 5013 S CLEVELAND AVE FORT MYERS, FL 33907. I took my dog for grooming at this store and left him in the care of Sidney. Upon my return a customer was crying outside stating that she saw my dog being mistreated by the groomer (Sidney). I filed a complaint and even though the manager was helpful, it was very stressful and disappointing. I watched the video and I think she was aggressive. If you take your dog to this store to get groomed, please research the groomer prior to it. As you may have seen in the news, Petsmart had a few incidents, including death due to mistreatment. This is what happens when corporations are only concerned about the bottom line. read more

Love Love this grooming salon! I have AMANDA and she does an awesome job. Always friendly. Even when the online booking does not get it right, they do. They take great care of my baby. My girl is getting older and sometimes defecates when going to be left alone at grooming times,they take in stride and still do an awesome job and makes us both still feel wanted. I am pretty particular about her cuts and making sure her back nails get trimmed as other place had forgotten resulting in the nails being curled. They never forget to do this and she looks beautiful as I am often told. I will NOT go any place else. xoxo ;) read more

I would call this place a butcher shop, but butcher's are often skilled purveyors of their craft. I dropped my Maltese off for a grooming, and I'm not even sure I got the same dog back. Also, the "groomer" tried to convince me at least three times to get a mohawk cut for my dog. And it took six hours. For $50+ including a nail trim, you're better off using a mobile groomer. read more

I went to drop off my Little yorkie this morning only to be told they couldn't groom him. Evidently, they called me this morning to say the groomer did not show up. In the past, they have lost my appointment or they lost my dogs rabies shot, always some excuse. They make NO apologies for their mistakes and think they are all so good. Under normal circumstances nothing was outstanding or terrible. This visit was different. I went in looking for a specific fish feeder and Amano shrimp. Neither were in stock. I asked to order in and was denied. They said they have no control over inventory. That all inventory is controlled by warehouse 30 in Ga. I can not tell you how INCREDIBLE Stacy, Olga and Kellie in the grooming department are!!! We brought our elderly neighbor's dog to them and he is notorious for being very difficult and aggressive when it comes to grooming. (Another 'highly rated' groomers in town were not able to handle him.) But these ladies were ridiculously patient and kind to him. Furthermore, it was evident that they are extremely experienced and complete professionals. They worked together as a team to get the job done. We simply can not recommend them enough. Thank you all SO MUCH for not only making Teddy look and feel so much better, but you are gonna bring so much joy to his owner when she sees him. THANK YOU!!! read more

Avoid this place like the plague, pun intended. Signed up for the puppy training class. Neither the cashier or the trainer asked to see the vaccination records. As prevalent as Parvo and Kennel Cough are I'd expect such an important issue not to be over looked.One must question the trainer ability when they are not even informed enough to check immunizations. I have used this PetSmart for 5 years .Sampson has the personality of a very friendly Lab .The last two times I took him he did not want to stay .The last time I took Sampson a Red Chow Chow .He kept opening the door with his head .I left without getting him groomed .I sent the Grooming a Email and ask for the manager to return my call .I did not get a reply so I called the Grooming Salon and ask the woman who answered the phone to have the manager call me .I told her what was going on she said she would have the manager call me. I know that Sampson was severly miss treated because he never had a problem going in to get groomed .The PetSmart I speak of is in Page Field shopping center Fort Myers FL .I love my dog and I would never subject him to be mistreated ever again. read more

This is the worst Pet Store in the area. The staff has no idea how to run things, the cashiers have no sense of customer service and they are snotty. There is no communication between the staff of the store and the veterinary staff. Procedures are either not known or not followed by both areas. Unfortunately they are the only pet store in the area that sells prescription only food. Have to use them when my vet is closed. This place needs a total overhaul. DONT GO THERE. read more

I took my dogs here for almost two years. I used the same groomer most of that time. Service got progressively worse. One or both of my pups came back with cuts on their body's or nails that were not trimmed, matted hair in their paws that was not cut etc. the last straw was when they came home from their last grooming visit, one had a very bad razor burn where the groomer scalped the poor dog by cutting it too short in just that one spot. It was the size of my palm. I had to get burn cream from the vet to ease his discomfort. The other dog came back from the same visit with a pinched nerve and crying. Again, a vet visit and agony for my pup. NO ONE mentioned any of this to me. I'm actually very reasonable and understand things happen during grooming, but with the declining grooming and now no one telling me mistakes were being made and then needing vet visits after grooming I can not in good conscience subject my pups to this Petsmart location again. read more

My visit to the Ft Myers PetSmart groomer was top notch. Jeanne turned my golden doodle into a rock star! She & the other staff members I was in contact with were all professional, pleasant, polite & timely. Despite years of buying food and dog products I am continually treated with little courtesy at this location. I cannot schedule even a bath for my dog without a hassle. This is worse " in season" with the latest episode involving the manager Brandon Gibson who acted like he could care less whether I come to this location or not. There was no effort to even try to remedy the situation. Hopefully someone at a corporate level will read this and take some interest. read more
