Well....I am very disappointed. It took them two hours longer than what I was quoted because I was told my dog was too "hyper." I've never been told that by a groomer before. It sounds like they are poorly trained in handing dogs. The groomers also shaved my dog to the skin to where he is bleeding in multiple areas. I will not be returning to this groomer. read more

I kneeled my dog at the Byrant Irvin location last week and had a friend pick my dog up on Sunday because my flight got in after they closed. I left her with like 4-5 of her favorite toys in a reusable bag and only one was returned. I called the store they basically blew me off and said they'd call me back when they find the bag. A week later no response or anything. I liked PetsMart because its convenient but for the price they charge (92 bucks for two nights with doggy day camp for a 14b dog) but I won't keep her there anymore since they toys were probably 30-40 worth; so now i basically need to pay for another night's stay to replace what they because they're incompetent. read more

In reference to the Banfield Pet Hospital We used this clinic about a year ago and didn't have any issue with them. Having had a decent experience with them, we decided to use them again this year. Once a year we have our cat put under and shaved. She stresses too easily so it has to be done this way. We dropped the cat off at 0730 and received a call at 1330 notifying us that she was ready for pick up. We show up and pay a bill for $93 (which was expected). They bring out our cat and she looks the same as when we dropped her off. So they put her to sleep, did a mandatory physical exam and cut her nails. Why didn't they shave her? The answer we got was that there was a miscommunication "in the back"....So naturally, people come in all the time and pay to have their animals put under for a nail trim....SERIOUSLY? Also, it took from 0730-1330 to trim nails. They insisted we bring her back in so that they can do what we asked the first time. We left her again for another four hours just to pay another $53 with no compensation whatsoever. People have bad days and it seemed as though this clinic was. Im not saying don't give them your business. I am saying however, make sure they understand completely what you want from them. Do business with them at your own risk. read more

Could not be more disappointed by the treatment of our dogs during a weekend boarding experience. They had not been to the bathroom in 6 hours and smelled like their own pee. I paid $100 to have my dogs neglected and forced to sleep in their own urine infested kennel. When I called to ask about this, the woman told me I had not paid for the afternoon walk. I didn't know I had to pay EXTRA to let my dog have the opportunity to pee three times in one day. They are a pathetic and expensive excuse for a pet boarding "hotel." Please, take your animals to a place that actually cares. read more

In a word: unpleasant. After a fun run with the dogs my boyfriend and I wanted to spend our last day together in Fort Worth before he returned to Spain for business. We decided to put the dogs in a day play place because they are puppies and they live for doggie daycare in Dallas. I drove 30 minutes after telling the dispatcher my dogs were an Am Staff and bull terrier mix. Upon arrival I went through 30 minutes more of paperwork with the unsmiling staff. A lady named Nancy suddenly said brazenly that Gator, who was especially excited to see other dogs, would have to be kenneled and wasn't suitable for their day camp. I felt very sad that my dog-play loving dog was rejected but I understand their feelings about it. This has even happened before and the lady apologized and was really sweet about it. So, what I didn't like was how rude Nancy and another guy named Ron was, and that they wasted 30 minutes of our time with no apologies. I told the manager and he offered no apologies or professional gesture for wasting our time, either. I was very upset and made to feel it was my fault for not knowing better. They did hold me up further with a speech about their 30 years of experience and how I told the dispatcher the dog breeds and was told that it was up to the manager. If they are that insensitive with people, I can only imagine how they are with dogs. As we walked by the playroom, Gator looked sadly in. I noticed a Mastiff-bully mix just like the one that attacked him as a puppy on his first day at a dog park. The playroom was completely packed with only ONE person watching and the mastiff was crowded in there with little poodles and yorkies. I'm kind of glad my 8 month old dogs weren't allowed because they are very innocent and I intend to keep it that way. In spite of all their curt down-to-business diligence, the staff obviously pay very little attention to safety OR breeds, just judging by the room itself with the crowding and the mastiff and poodle assortment. It's interesting that some of the paperwork includes a pre-transaction scratch chart like on a rental car. It just reiterates how much more these people see dogs like merchandise and not animate objects. As a person in the medical field I have a pretty good intuition about who's about money and who's about souls. No amount of experience will replace lack of compassion. I'm very glad my babies were spared from this place. read more

PetSmart has been great for us in our first year of dog ownership. I contacted a breed-specific rescue group and got a call that they had what sounded like the perfect dog for us; she was ours that very night. Except ... we had NOTHING for a dog. We hurried to Petsmart and, no joke, there was a different sales associate in each aisle offering to help me pick the right dog food, shampoo, crate, etc. I also signed her up for puppy basic obedience classes two weeks after we first got her. She went from not even knowing her own name to being pretty well trained in just six weeks! You do really have to practice at home with them, and I'll admit we weren't always great about that. But she learned Sit, Stay, Come, and Leave It really well, and those have helped immensely. Definitely worth it for a little over $100. I've also taken my dog to their grooming salon and their Banfield Pet Hospital and had great experiences there too. I can always call and get an appointment for the next day or so, and I love that they are open later than other places. That makes it much more convenient for me. read more

I bring my three dogs quite often to stay for the day. They're still intact so they can't play with the other dogs but I know they get lots of love and attention during their individual play times with staff and absolutely LOVE the pumpkin kongs they get. They're always excited when we pull up to the store and they get even more excited when we get to the hotel lobby. The staff is always welcoming and sweet and you can tell they care about you and your pets. read more

We board our yellow lab here when we go out of town and he absolutely loves it! The second he sees where we are he gets so excited. He is usually good on the lease but when we walk in the doors he literally pulls me to the back of the store to where you check them in. I feel robbed! I returned a 30 pound $54 Purina bag of dog food that I bought on Sunday August 27 and returned on Tuesday August 29 that was full of web worms. I was planning on exchanging it but found more worms on the outside of the bag at the store so I got a smaller bag that didn't appear to have worms. I went to check out only to be told that they would ONLY give me a store credit for the difference even though I had my receipt. I told them I did not want a store credit but the Assistant Manager Teresa REFUSED to give me cash or put back on my card telling me it was "company policy". My husband had been with me on Sunday and put it on his card but was out of town so I intended to put back on my card from same account again she refused to put on my card. I had no intention of bringing a bag of worms back into my house to wait for my husbands card. They sold me bad product and refused to return my money!! Not a good way to do business! Also I called corporate and was told to call back because their computers are not working again bad customer service. He didn't even off to call me back! What jerks! read more

Yesterday was my third visit, to the salon, and they always have trouble finding my pet in the system. I gave all info I could and when I explained I didn't know what else I could give her the worker just shrugged and laughed. After 4 attempts, at searching, another employee came and did an advanced search and finally found my dog and they had spelt Cloe instead of Chloe in the system. She updated it and they trimmed and grinded my dog's nails. Once they finished one lady asked if my dog had been treated for fleas and I replied yes she just got her flea medicine from Banfield, a few weeks ago, under a month. She grilled me, like I was a kid, and told me the lady that worked on my dog had found one flea on her hair. I responded that she may have got it from waiting so long and that tons of pets go in and out... No yelling who is properly taken care of or who isn't. She made it seem like I was lying about treating my dog for fleas and I was already aggravated from the time I had already spent there. My pet's nails don't even look like she grinded them but I just left. I will not be back but will gladly make the trip to the Carroll location for future appointments. read more

I have shopped at many Petsmarts & of course like all stores they have their flaws. This maybe one of the most unpleasant ones I've been too. Inside it looked like it hasn't been updated in a while looking a bit dull. The aisles were very close together resulting in customers constantly bumping into one another with their carts. I can't imagine the difficulties one would have if they brought a pet along. As for the merchandise a lot of items were in random places. We happened to be in search for dog food which was in the cat food aisle. Some of the staff seemed friendly but the manager was not helpful at all! While shopping there was a sign advertising that a certain brands collars & leashes were 20% off. We ended up picking out a collar & leash by the brand but when asked while checking out about the 20% the manager wasn't aware & didn't believe us. Though we showed him the sign but he refused to give us the discount. I do not recommend this Petsmart & plan on shopping at another. read more

This PetsHotel deserves 0 stars. Our dog stayed for 8 nights and when we picked her up we learned they only took her out to relieve herself twice a day [despite the website saying "Unlimited walks to relief rooms treated with pheromones (so pets know it's OK to go)"], there was poop on her chew toy, and she smelled TERRIBLE. We had just returned from a 13 hour road trip with our three toddlers but we washed her in the driveway as soon as we pulled up because we couldn't let her in the house smelling like that. I called the store and when I mentioned the website saying the dogs have "unlimited walks to relief rooms" the employee said "we only have so many people here so we take them out in the morning and evening." We let our dog out every 8 hours MAX. We paid a lot of money to have her locked in all day and poop in her "suite." I sent an email about our experience and received a call from the PetsHotel manager who made me reiterate everything I wrote in the email and then asked "what do you want me to do about it?" All this to say, PetsHotel is a scam and the places I've checked into since have better prices and take better care of dogs so please don't waste your money to have your dog sit in his/her own mess. We don't pamper our dog, but we do take care of her and expect her to be let out to relieve herself, especially when we're paying a lot of money for it. read more

My sister and I boarded our dogs here for two days and when we got them back they reeked of urine as did the clean blanket that we left with them. They were brought in wearing harnesses and they were not taken off for the duration of their stay and I know this because their harness, which were clean beforehand, also reeled of urine. Both of our dogs are potty trained and we requested that potty pads be left in their room just in case they needed to go to the restroom. The employees did not use any of them because we got all six pads back. We do not think that they were relieved as often as we were told they would be because our dogs have never gone to the restroom in their kennels before. When we got home we fed them and one of them refused to eat her dinner and ate grass all night. This is very unlike her and although I know that pets may be tired from being boarded she never does this due to her energetic nature. It is evident that our dogs were not given the proper care that they deserved and that I paid for. We will not be bringing our dogs back here until improvements are made. read more

Refusal to refund on merchandise purchased with receipt. I was returning a lot for my son who is on the road busy with rodeo and is a Tv Host for RDFTV and he purchases the items knowing he was over buying and store told him if you do Not need it all they had a no Problem with returns at any store. Gave this store receipt and the Manager told me the receipt was unverifiable ! Never heard of any nonsense in my life. I am a 50 year old woman who works hard and took 3 baskets by myself. It was a lot of work but when I basically was told I was refused it was hurtful and exhausting. No help at all with anyone in store. I have cried all night at how rude some people can be. I explained the reason for return by the way should not matter and he inspected items and saw they where never used.... and he was so......RUDE.. I will never ever shop at store and will let everyone know they Lie about letting you return any items you purchase because of laziness ! Yes Items where bulky but no excuse!
