Since I'd never done this before I was hesitant to trust my little friend to strangers. My pup passed her meet-and-greet with flying colors, and it eased a good measure of my discomfort. After having boarded her several times now, were BOTH happy with their staff and services. I never worry about her while she's there, and I often forget to even check in on her (except when my grandkids ask if we can see her!). Now when I pack her things, she knows where she's going, and it's not uncommon for her to be too excited to eat or drink, and even if I'm not ready to leave she'll get in the car and won't get out. We're both happy we found Four Paws Hotel and Day Resort! (I referred my sister to them, and now her dog is a regular when she leaves town as well.)

I've rescued many dogs and have learned to groom them myself, but when my dog had surgery and then I had surgery, I didn't keep up with her coat as normal for a few weeks so my dog got matted behind each ear on on the back legs. I'm not normally one of those dog moms that would freak out because my mixed breed half poodle looks like a poodle, but what we ended up with is horrible. Just horrible. Whenever groomed my dog doesn't have any business grooming. I understand that my dog had some matting, but this is the worst, most uneven, ridiculous ugly haircut I've ever seen in my life. We chose CBW because it is close to where we live, and our decision was affirmed with their strict policies. They make pets get every vaccine that exists and even do a poop sample. Idk if this is standard in michigan, but it made us happy to know that our pets wouldn't be exposed to any illnesses. They also interview every dog before allowing it to stay. I really enjoyed using the web cameras to check in on our pups every now and then. The staff was really nice at check in and check out. We will certainly use CBW again when we go out of town.

Rough play they say laughingly. Puppies messing with older dogs get hurt, ours has been limping for two months. X-rays require sedation and big vet bills. No more Camp Bow Wow.
