Every time that I have come into the store since moving here, I have had only positive experiences. The first time, I was asking about reptiles and was given a lot of information - even though the associate could have simply left me to read the pamphlet for myself. Although I purchased my supplies from here, I bought my pet through a breeder. I am proud owner of Mushu, a bearded dragon. Things were rocky upon his arrival and I came back looking for new suggestions to make him happy. I left with a new tank, lights, decor, substrate... basically a new set up and yet could carry over some of his familiar stuff. While he is still under reallocation stress, I will definitely note that the new stuff is certainly helping. In addition, I travel a bunch with my pups. I was more than pleased with the clealiness, stock, and layout of the place. While my dogs did want to get into the cat adoption area, they were distracted by the loving attention they received as the associate (I believe his name was Daniel). The staff were extremely rude, the grooming job was poorly done, and the shop itself seemed messy and unprofessional. I bought a very expensive little dog tent today. The tent was definitely used and brought back to Petsmart. I was highly upset because I drove far since it was the only location that had this certain dog tent for my large dog. My tent was missing a piece on top of it incase it rains. Now if it ever does rain my dog will get wet since the small cover was missing. Also a clip was missing off of my tent so one side goes up higher than the other. I don't wanna take it back because it took me nearly an hour to set it up. So I'm just devastated, plus the white stripes in my tent look dirty, not even clear white. Non existent service! They are obviously understaffed, and overwhelmed with the amount of work. Two people where on the floor to help customers and they both had many people that were waiting on them to be helped. The man was nice but the young girl with purple/reddish hair was beyond rude as I listened to how she responded to those she was helping. Manager was on the floor trying to get the endless stock on the shelves and couldn't help customers. Pet smart needs to hire more people!! The woodlands store is so much better. read more

I brought my dog for the first time to groom his hair. After an 1 hr I came back and they said that, I had to charge 10$ for his reaction. the lady had told me that my dog would bite her all the time, and my dog does not bite at all. He's playful but does not harm nobody. Atleast my dog came out good looking. if you do not want to waste another 10$ I do not suggest you to come to this area. read more

This is a larger Petsmart and seems to be my go to Petsmart when the one in Shenandoah is out of something. The best attribute of this store to me is that they do a good job of stocking items and seem to have a larger selection of pet needs. The aisles are wide btw also. The employees are just so so on being able to help with questions. On an occasion I will get a truly knowledgeable associate but many times I have found them to prefer talking amongst themselves. This is a big store and since I don't shop here as often I would like to be helped with finding items since the layout is different. Good luck on a quick run in and out if you're not familiar with this stores layout! They have an adoption center right up in the middle of the store. Also they offer a variety of pet training classes even for the adult dog. I thought this was pretty cool with so many people adopting adult dogs from shelters. Great way to socialize and train the adult rescue dog that may have never had even basic training and for the awesome but novice rescue dog owner. I've never used this Petsmart groomer so I can't comment on this available service. read more

This review is solely for their grooming services. I've taken my new black lab pup, Payson James, here twice now and each time he comes out tail wagging and looking fresh. For $10.99 (11.50 with tax), Puppy Bath, you get a shampoo; hand-brush; blow-dry; nail trimming; ear cleaning; loose hair removal. Cannot beat that steal of a deal, and its up to five months, thankfully he has 2 more months two go, SCORE! Love the progress report they give on what services they performed and how well he handled his day at the spa! Staff is always super friendly. And a note as with all services, tip them! They handled your furry child for usually anywhere between 3-4 hours. read more

Last time I went to Petsmart was about 4 years ago, when I was helping my sister train her puppy. I remember finding everything we needed there. Oh, and the smart perks card gives you awesome discounts. This particular Petsmart has grooming services, training and a Veterinarian. I am keeping my friend's puppy for a week in the hopes of figuring out if I want to keep him for good. He is a 6 month old Yorkshire Terrier. I just needed some treats, shampoo and a book (on puppy training). I love the Petsmart layout. Everything is labeled by the type of animal. They have big circles that let you know where to find the products for your specific animal. It was a breeze finding what I needed. I took my dog to this groomer and I had a 7:00 am appointment. So I dropped him off and the guy had told me that he would be ready in 3 to 4 hours so I had said nothing and he had said he would call me within that time. So 11:30 come and I still had no call so I decided to go over there and ask how my dog was doing ,and he had said the 6 pound little toy poodle had bit him so he locked him the cage for hours that we do not know of. So we walked around the store and so I got my call back and he was shaking and scared so I there don't believe my dog had got "aggressive".Never going to go back there Do not get your dogs haircut here. read more

Worst petsmart ever!! They have reschedule my appointment 3 different times based on the fact that they don't ever have enough staff! Today takes the cake though...i had a appt this evening for 5p, they called me yesterday to reschedule it. The manager said if i brought them earlier they'd still take them...i told her it would be between 10-1030a because of my work schedule, I also said i cant play around because i have to go back by 11a, she said fine i will note it. Today i go to take my dogs, they call at 10:06a saying they had to be in by 10:15 or they would have to reschedule them once again! I literally walked in the store at 10:16a for them to not take my dogs! After this groom, i will be going back to petco! To have their employee "chase" be rude to me on the phone then have to drive all the way back home to take them, then being late getting back to work, I wouldn't recommend them to a soul! ***BEWARE*** Our experience was that for puppy training, "Puppy 101" at this location was a large waste of money and time. The instructor did little to talk about the pups' instruction and handling, but instead talked endlessly about her personal life and her dysfunctional family. Total waste. read more

Both times they didn't finish drying her and they didn't give me any idea on how she behaved. They just said "here's your dog and here's your ticket thanks". This is the 2nd time I've brought my dog here and they have not called me to tell me he is ready. They take forever to groom your dog i don't know what the point of an appointment is. And on top of that i am not notified when he is ready. Four months ago someone came in to do the right thing and see if my missing dog was chipped, she was not but was obviously spayed and belonged to someone....I had already dropped off missing flyers to all the locations, posted posters all over the neighborhood, posted on all the apps and Facebook groups, used PawBoost and everything I could think of to try to find who found my baby. They had one job...one, and they managed to screw that up. All this vet had to do was check the missing dog flyers available at their location or at the very least instruct the finder to do so. Instead, they were "too busy" to give a f----. Which I call bs because this place literally closes earlier than what their hours suggest because of how dead slow business is sometimes...I know this because one time I stopped by before they closed and the petsmart employees told me they left early for the day. Anyway-The vet sees my poster just minutes after the finder of my dog leaves the building. She didn't ask her any questions, she didn't take down her number just incase, she didn't even get a freaking name. My baby of 7 years is gone forever and I had a chance to reconnect with her if these people gave the slightest care about animals. My torri hadn't been groomed recently because it has been hard for me to get out of the house due to recently having a baby, and had plans to do it soon, but the vet decided to be judgmental about it and tell the finder that the caretaker was probably "older" and insinuating it might be hard to find me which probably dissuaded the finder from even trying to post her on social media. My poor torri even had an allergy issue we were treating before she went missing and now can't even get her the care she needs. I know I should have gotten her chipped but I always had a collar on her with my info just incase but that day I took it off to give her a bath and forgot to put it back on when she went missing. Just my luck. But the very least they could have done they did not do and that just doesn't sit right with me. I even called multiple times asking to see if maybe the lady came back in by any chance, at least to get her groomed or some medicine for her issue if they decided to keep her, and everytime I call they act like they don't know what the hell im talking about...it's infuriating how little they care and they should all be fired for laziness and incompetence. I hope all you evil people get the karma you deserve. I hope people treat you the same way when you lose your baby and just desperately want to find her. And Petsmart...do better. Make sure your employees are taking the correct steps to helping these poor animals rather then rushing through appointments, because it can actually make a difference in someone's life. I've spent countless hours looking for my baby for four months now and it hurts to know that if the vet took ONE minute to take down a name or number, it could have saved me a lifetime of hurt and looking. I come here to buy my dogs food, Blue Wilderness. Kinda pricey yet healthy for him and blah, blah, blah. It's what I buy him. This place has close to anything you need for you pet. The staff here has always been friendly and very helpful. I give them 5 stars. The reason for the overall 2 stars is because the grooming department. I have quit bringing my dog here for grooming after a couple separate incidents. The first one occurred after dropping him off one afternoon to get cleaned up. From the outside he seemed fine and all, yet a day or so later he started coughing. Well it got worse and he started coughing this "stuff" up. So I took him back there to the Banfield clinic for a check up. Turned out he had Kennel Cough. He's around no other dogs except when I take him to get grounded. It's the only place I can think of he could of caught it from. Now true, he could of simply caught it from other dog in the store at the same time. Ok, no worries. It happens and he was fine a few days later after taking some meds. So a few weeks later I took him back for another grooming. No bueno! When I went to pick him up a few hours later he came out all happy an excited like he usually does. When I checked him over I found about a 2" cut behind his right front leg. I was pissed off, as anyone would be. The lady I talked with said something about how he slipped on the table. Really? I'm curious as to what is that sharp in the tables to cut a dig like that, an if so, what is that sharp to do that? I feel it wasn't the table, it was the groomer and her clippers or scissors that cut my boy. Accidents happen, yet when they do, own up to it. It was about a 2" inch cut with an even depth the while length of the cut. A table isn't going to do that. For that I give the grooming department 1 star. I will never bring him back for grooming here again. read more

Took my two Boxers in to get a Pawdicure and my younger 8 month old girl HATED it. Two ladies working on her, Katherine and Vanessa were SO patient and caring as she squirmed and fought back. I so appreciated how kind they were both to me and my dog as I'm sure it was frustrating to deal with in the moment. They also managed to do a great job on both of my dogs nails. If it's this expensive to take care of dogs, I can't imagine having a kid! PetSmart has everything you need for your pets. Coconut uses their Banfield and grooming services and I have no complaints. I recently took Nutty to get a heartworm test, and I was out of there in about 40 minutes. The wait was not long at all and they answered all my questions. It is very important that you schedule an appointment. I've never been lucky with a walk-in. The grooming services usually has a good deal that might save you around $5. Whenever I take her there, her nails looks great and she comes out strutting her stuff. For a Pawicure, your pet will have nail trimming, grinding, and an ear cleaning. It takes about 15 minutes so that give you time to shop around the store. For a complete grooming, it usually takes about 3-4 hours. They will call you to let you know when they are finished. At the end of the grooming session, they give you a card on how your pet's behavior was and what steps need to be done to maintain good grooming. It's very easy to find what you're looking for and I always have an employee ask me if I need any help. It could also be that I have a ton of coupons in one hand and trying to find out which is cheaper! Make sure that you sign up for the PetsPerk. They send out emails letting you know what is on sale, and you'll even get coupons for $5 off at PetSmart. read more

I scheduled my dogs grooming service here for the 2nd time just to be canceled again!!!! They keep saying the groomer "called in" and only offer 15% off for having you wait 2 weeks to come in and then scheduling you another week away (which doesn't guarantee the "groomer" will not come in AGAIN)!! It's super pathetic and I expect better from a billion dollar company that I spend much money with!! Hire people that want to work because my dogs been waiting for a bath for 3 weeks now!!!! This review rating is regarding the quality and health of the tropical fish at this store. I recently purchased 10 small fish to add to my 60 gallon aquarium. Already in it were about 20 Mickey Mouse platys , 2 corys and 4 neons. After a span of 3 weeks, I am down to the corys, 2 neons, 2 platys and 3 of the fish I added. I have had aquariums for over 40 years and have NEVER experienced such decimation. Water quality was at the best levels possible, the new fish were acclimated properly and there was no sign of disease or parasites. I chose not to return the dead fish to the store because I am so angry about this. I will NEVER buy anything living from this store again! read more

If I could do ZERO stars I would. This is my rating just for the grooming. There have been two separate occasions now that I brought my dogs there and each time they come back hurt. The first time the put my Pomeranians harness on incorrectly causing the blood circulation to stop and his leg to triple in size. When I confronted them they blamed me even though he had his harness on when I picked him up. Which by the way they don't even call to tell you your dog is ready to be picked up! Second time my a shihtzu went there for a hair cut and they used dirty clippers. She has a horrible infection under her neck now! They didn't even tell me that they accidentally nipped her under there hence the horrific infection. It's in an area that is hard to see. This is ridiculous! For being such a power house when it comes to animal they do NOT do a good job of making sure they are safe. DO NOT GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE! this was not my first time bringing a pet to the groomers at this PetSmart ,but this was my dog's first time going .everything was fine until it was time to pick him up. I got a call saying he was ready ,I did not get the text and then when I pulled up everybody in the building is outside and there is one dog outside. I asked the manager what is going on he tells me there is a gas leak .I asked him so why is my dog left in the building, he tells me it is protocol that everybody must evacuate.again there were 15 employees all outside and only one dog from the groomers was outside and when I asked the manager what would have happened if my dog would have died he had no answers. I still payed for my service even though I asked them not to shave his tail they still did it.. his nails are all cut jagged. I'm going to have to go home and fix them myself only thing they did right was probably bathe him I was not compensated or anyting for having to stand outside and wait for the fire department to tell us it was okay to come in and retrieve you are beloved animals read more

I had an appointment that I made two weeks ago to get my dogs both done today at the same time full service nails hair bath everything and they told me that one of them's rabies shot had expired and I'll need to bring the new one the day of the appointment, so I got the rabies shot this morning and brought them for the appointment this afternoon. Now they are refusing to do one of my dogs because the shot was not at least 48hrs ago... Let me ask you something you morons running this company... Do you refuse service on the last day of the year that the shot is going to expire... No you don't... so you think my dog got the freaking flu in the couple of days between flu shot expiration dates which are really only arbitrary made up times anyways? FYI, I work in healthcare and I have to get the flu shot annually myself So that I can be credentialed to work at major hospitals all over the city And I can get the flu shot the same day and still go to work at all of those places. read more
