This review is a sole reflection on the grooming portion of petsmart. AWFUL. Refuse to take my dog there again. The workers either were not trained properly, or had no idea what was going on! I took my (SMALL) dog in for a bath, teeth cleaning, and nail trim. Simple? I thought so. When trying to decide which was the best route for what I needed the workers didn't even tell me about the Walk-in special, which I was indeed a walk-in, and that it was FAR cheaper than what they were trying to charge me. I asked them about it and they just swept it under the rug, telling me that was something completely different and I couldn't have that price. Fine. The lady then tells me it should be about 30 minutes at the most, so I go off and come back in about 25 minutes. My dog is nowhere to be seen and I wait there for another 30 minutes. Now, we are an hour in and my dog finally gets brought out. I go up to pay and they are charging me $40... APPARENTLY it costs $23 just to get a dogs nails trimmed? Who knew??? DEFINITELY not me, because nobody explained to me what the packages were, or what I was paying for. I'm still not even sure exactly what I payed for which is the most annoying part. They showed me a print out and when I asked why it was so much they said "add ons" ....... okay I guess..? At this point I was so done with the incompetence I just paid and left. I am extremely unsatisfied and will definitely be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

Took my St Bernard mix in to get groomed today by Michelle. I felt bad because my girl has so much hair but Michelle did an amazing job! Definitely recommend her to groom your pets. Ryleigh and I thank you, Michelle, and we'll be back when it's time for another haircut! read more

I adopted a kitten from Petsmart and was told to use my free adoption starter kit full of coupons. One of which was a 34.95 value first exam at banfield on Mckellips. I forgot to present it at that appointment and asked only less than two weeks later if I could redeem it at my next appointment in about a week. The girl Jenny said I am sorry my manager said no. Bad customer service. You can tell the greed of them by charging a 42.00 copay and then trying to sign me up for some monthly insurance that my indoor cat definitely did not need. GREEDY. Will not use them for future appointments. read more

I always come in here. I really like how the groomers and the vets office answer my questions. They have a nice assortment of all natural products for my babies, and tons of stuffing free toy options. The one thing I don't like, is petsmart doesn't carry the dog food I feed, taste of the wild, so I end up having to make two different puppy stops whenever I need puppy items read more

I took my two dogs in 3 days ago for grooming. To begin with, the people working back there didn't seem to know what was going on or what they were doing. I saw one younger male employee grooming a very small dog and when the dog shifted to the side, the guy said "Stop it" in a very loud voice and roughly shifted the dog back the way he/she was. I was a little freaked out by that but the rest of the girls seemed ok; not great but ok. When I went and picked my dogs up, I was not happy. Both of my dogs have burns on their skin from the clipper along with several other cuts in various places and I'm going to have to take them into the vet to have those treated. My male has a long cut from underneath his eye almost to the bridge of his nose that's going to have to be treated as well. When I went into pick them up, this really snotty girl handed me a receipt and told me to go pay at the register and they would bring the dogs out. I went and paid and then proceeded to stand there for 20 minutes waiting for my dogs. Both of my dogs have been scared and shaking ever since I picked them up. I'm not sure if they tranquilized them or not. The girl said they don't but I'm not sure. All I know is my dogs have been scared ever since they came out of that place and I have a feeling the groomers were not very nice to them. My dogs are not naturally scared and they're very friendly/sweet. I am NOT happy with Petsmart at all and would NEVER, EVER take my dogs back there again nor would I recommend them to anyone. In fact, I'm considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Do NOT take your dogs here; you will be sorry. The people working in there are kids and they are obviously not trained. They need to hire some competent groomers who genuinely care for animals and know how to treat them. read more

Grooming Salon! Horrible!!! DOG ABUSERS!!!! Received a phone call not even 10 minutes after dropping off that my German Shepard mix tried to 'attack' someone (has never happened before) turn around go right back and luckily one of the trainers was sitting there with my dog (looking perfectly fine just a little stressed) and then a annoyed looking other women. The trainer says 'she's fine she is just stressed nothing actually happened' the other women snaps 'she tried to bite my face!' In which the trainer turns to her and says 'you tried to shove her in a small size crate and she tried to get past you' .... the other women's eyes got huge, shocked that she said that in front of us. EXCUSE ME?! You tried to shove my 60 pound dog In a small size kennel and that's her fault?! Turns out they were annoyed that I dropped my dog off early (which I was told I could do) and they took it out on her!!!! I Took her to Bark Avenue up the road and had absolutely no issues!!!!!! read more

I would absolutely not recommend shopping for anything at this store. Petsmart touts their "no hassle return policy" but I have been trying to get a credit for almost a month. The store manager promised that he would get back to me and I heard nothing. I then contacted Petsmart Customer Care (interesting term) and they said they would handle it. But I also heard nothing from them. It should not be so difficult to get a store credit for a purchase. Especially when you've been dealing with the store manager and you have provided all of the documentation of your purchase. I always bought all of my dog's food here, leashes, harness, etc. -- but no more. I wouldn't step inside this store again. Beware of their lack of customer service! read more

This review is solely for the grooming salon. My husband and I both work until 6 pm, and have tried 2-3 times to take our dog here to get his nails trimmed after we get off work, coming in between 6:45 - 7:15 pm. Every time we have come in, the grooming salon is closed and we're told they sent everyone home early (although the website clearly states the grooming salon is open until 9:00 pm almost every night of the week). We've then called another nearby Petsmart to see if they could trim our dogs nails and they always get us in right away with amazing service. They don't take appointments for nail trimming because it's such a short service, so I was told to call ahead of time and make sure that someone is still there every time before I come in. Are you or are you not open? We'll save our time and go to another location that is always available to help us - not making the mistake of coming here again. read more

I am furious on someone else's behalf. I just left this store and while watching from the register, witnessed Pricilla the pet groomer (I went in and asked her for her name) being very rough with someone's else's dog. A big, beautiful very furry brown/ black Shepard mix was very unhappy and even yelped!!! She was visibly upset with him and apparently doesn't like being a pet groomer or she would have been much more gentle since he was unhappy. She had clippers underneath him and not really looking very closely. He was clearly upset and feeling her anger. I will never bring either of my dogs there again. We brought our Husky there a month ago and was told he nipped! Nope, our dog, now 5, has been groomed every month since he was a puppy at multiple locations and we have never had any groomer say anything but how great and well behaved he is. We brought him to the superstition location the next time and was told how well behaved he is!!! I will be calling the Manager on Monday. This is a horrible place to have your dog groomed!! Please don't bring your baby to this location!!! read more

We took our dog to the Petsmart on Mekellips and Power and we started noticing that when we picked her up that she seemed very lethargic which in past she had always been super excited to see us. I also started to notice that after she was groomed the bottom part of her stomach was really bruised... So to say the least we started to bring her to another groomer (Pudgy Pup) and she is like a completely different dog. She seems very happy when we pick her up and have not seen ANY bruises! I would definitely NOT recommend brining your dog to a Petsmart groomer. read more

Didn't really get greeted right off the bat, but I'm not a stickler about that. Corporations these days try to be too friendly and honestly it's creepy for me. Easily found what I was looking for and didn't need the help to find it. If you can't find something in this store that is very sorted, you shouldn't be owning a pet. I'm surprised you can find clothes to even dress yourself in the morning. read more

I've been going to this store for years. I don't understand why it's getting bad reviews. Every time I walk in I've gotten greeted. They ask if they could help me find anything and if my day is going good. I have not utilized the grooming there so I couldn't tell you anything about it, but I've had excellent help by the fish. The girls there are always so friendly and seem to love what they are doing. I've talked to many managers who are always so willing to assist me with anything. When I first got my puppy one of the trainers helped me get everything I needed and answered every question I had. It's a shame the comments below aren't satisfied maybe they should go back. Again been going for years and never had an issue with the employees. The store is sometimes messy and items seem to come and go fairly often but that's with any business that gets busy. Great place to shop and a very friend environment. It's good to walk in somewhere and the employees are smiling it laughing. It makes it more inviting. read more
