Setting up new 100 gal aquarium and looking at bubbles after an hour found what I wanted made my purchase and then I notice there was no air stone so I looked at the tag and it clearly said air pump ,air line and check valve all sold separately. So I went back and looked at all of them and they all had airstones. ALISA was the manager or assistant that can over and she said not all come with them .showed her that they did and she said I can go buy one. The 4 dollars is not going to kill me but the rudeness of her and how she handled the issue. We'll let's just say I took my 100 dollar purchase and returned everything. We've tried nearly all the services offered at this PetSmart, and we've had a great experience with all of them. We did the beginners training class for adult dogs with Shannon. Her class was great! Highly recommend. I'm planning on registering for the intermediate class. We have used the grooming salon as well. My dog just gets baths. They have always done a great job with her. She is dog reactive and not great with the dryer, but she always looks and smells good at pick up. And lastly we've boarded at the PetHotel before. We decided to switch to a boarder with an outdoor play area, but this is a decent back-up. read more

This was my puppy's 2nd puppy cut. A different groomer this week‍ we discussed not cutting the top because I wanted her to wear topknots. (Picture shown as to the end goal) Ashley R. said they don't cut the top only around the eyes! Tell me why her signature "skunk" is GONE!? And I was offered a damned bandana before bringing her out. You can see why the bandana was offered she doesn't have enough for a ponytail. DO NOT let Ashley R groom your puppy. She does not follow instructions. Ashley R said she didn't cut the top. I asked did someone else handle her? She said no. Heck she made it seem as if I did this to my puppy! Make that make sense. Grace the manager refunded the service that was not satisfactory which I appreciated. I will not be going back. Their grooming department is not it. If I could give no stars I would. I took frank to get his signature lion cut that he always gets at petsmart. We just moved to the area and this was our first time at this location. His hair cut is usually 2 to3 hours however this day it took an 57 min. I thought wow she is fast! Little did I know it was fast because Jennifer had no idea what she was doing at all. Frank's hair cut looked like what I could have accomplished for free. After posting videos and complaints the store called me. Needless to say the leadership named Brad decided that even though he was the leader of the store he would disregard my concern and instead go to Walmart and allow a lady named Arlene call me with no plan of resolving the situation. She proceeded to blame frank for being old . When the actual problem is that her groomer had only been grooming cats for a month. Now the issue I have is that the experienced groomer only works Thursday and Friday why was he scheduled for and Wednesday cut. I asked her what was the purpose of her call she said it's to let the groomer know Friday what she needs to do. I told her we could have had the conversation Friday as you are not doing anything more than wasting my time. Long story short I asked for my refund. Brad as a leader it was your responsibility to make this call. Furthermore you should have given me a full refund with a corrected cut. That is what rectifying a customer complaint is. It is not blaming the pet. The worst waste of a company is where they place their employees Jennifer should not have been assigned to do this. This place is a joke. Their groomers totally traumatized our sweet dog. Horrible! They at last let me see the video of her being groomed. I had to leave before it was over because I was so upset The groomer drug her across the grooming table by her tail, turned her around by her leg and squirted her twice in the face with the high pressure sprayer Then she got an infection that THEIR doctor said it could have been caused by using non clean clippers WTH! I have tried and tried to like this place. My Pup will definitely not be going back again. They act as if my 6 month old Toy Poodle pup was just too much to handle. After so many reschedules and coming back to pick her up 20 minutes after a drop off is just insane. The last visit was with Nikki who called me back right after I dropped her off , she rescheduled me for 1:30 the next day with Kim (The Lead) . When we arrived we stood outside of the salon and watched Kim check in a lady for an appointment I'm assuming the next day. There was another pet owner that was checked in. Kim then left and went back into the salon while me and Gia waited outside. She finally came back out and asked are you waiting to be seen, I said yes. She said come in, and as we came in she left out. The receptionist checked us in and stated that she was going to go fine Kim, which had just left out. At this point we have been here quite some time. Well the lady comes back and states that she cannot find Kim and my appointment is cancelled as I should have been there at 1:30 lol. I was asked do I want to reschedule AGAIN!!! I left and got to my car to see that my appointment was cancelled @ 1:56 while I was right there in the salon! I took my doggie to another Salon that same Day who welcomed here with so much love. She left with a beautiful full haircut with the cutest two bows in her hair and a cute little bandana around her neck. They would love for Gia to come back and they are closer to out Home! Petsmart will never have to worry about my dog being subjected to rudeness and ignorance!!! I attached a picture to show how pleased we are with the new Shop and they were Cheaper and Much Nicer than the Petsmart in Mesquite Texas location and loved on my Gia and made her very comfortable. Horrible service and rude people at the grooming salons and at the clinic. At the clinic, the ladies play too much. Sometimes they have people visiting them and they do not answer the phone or come out to help customers. The last time I went to the clinic in this location in particular, we were around 5 customers waiting on them to finish their coffee time. Today at the grooming salon I called and they put me on hold for around 5 minutes. After that time, no one answered . I called back again and no one answered and I got transfer to another line, the person in that line transferred me to the grooming. The lady asked me I needed and she said she was going to put me in hold. I told her I had been calling for a while and they just keep putting me on hold. She said I had no choice but she was going to put me on hold. Then she did and left me talking by myself. That's very rude. Sometimes when I drop my dog off, I wait there until they finish the customers on the phone. So why did she had to be so rude to me? Asked for the classic teddy bear cut my labradoodle and she returned him with a Mohawk and uneven blending all around his body, ears were just straight chopped, and a halfway done tail. I took my girl there seven years ago and she was traumatized and has been on anxiety meds ever since! She was never scared of baths before I took her there. When you come anywhere near her with a hose, she ducks and starts whining and panting..... never did that before! She also flinched for days when we went to pet her on her head. She has a good person now who takes care of her. I don't know if these people are just not skilled or trained properly. I don't know if they don't like animals..... whatever is wrong with them is disgusting. I would NEVER recommend this place. read more

They are pricey. My 40 pound dog is a shepherd spaniel mix. It cost 123 for the grooming plus 15 for the nail grinding. No bandana or bows in her ears. The other dog needed a deshed- that cost 80 plus 15 for the nail grinding. She is also 40 pounds. They made certain that the animals were comfortable and didn't make them get blow dried because the sound upset them. It took close to 6 hours. They do seem to care about the pets, but the prices were insane and should have been quoted to me when I made the appointment. I probably won't go back. read more

Horrible service- the quote you get over the phone is not the actual price. By time you physically come into the store and get a physically exam of the dogs coat you go from $40 (price quoted over the phone) to $45 standard grooming price to $7-$14 extra if the find matted hair on the dog (which I'm sure they will) so by the time you get done you looking at about $60 or more for one pet to be groomed! This is ridiculous. Stop giving false information over the phone. You are luring customers in on false pretenses. This is bad business. As a disabled veteran I don't have the finances or the time for this game advertising. I am not happy with what happened and how this was just a wasted trip! If I could leave no stars I would I had to go out of town last minute for family and took my pup to petsmart. I'm not familiar with the petsmart pet hotel where I'm from we don't have any. But I thought this would be a safe place to leave her as I would be gone for 10 days. When I picked her up she had cuts and bruises all over and didn't act like her normal self. She is usually very playful and happy the day I brought her home she did nothing but sleep. I would not recommend leaving your dog here if you care about them. I've never had this experience before she's never come back with scratches or bruises. This must be why they don't have cameras so they can mistreat your animal. Our family recently adopted a beautiful fur baby from Dallas Animal Shelter. We were told to take our folder with her information in it to petsmart to receive discounts and incentives. I'm glad we did. The young lady that helped us her was Christina she was the manager. With it being our first time adopting a fur baby she was patient,knowledgeable,understanding and nice. She walked us through the logging in info we needed to provide and showed us where and what brands were better suited for our baby. To me it was kinda busy for a Tuesday. The young lady at the register was efficient in moving the line. By it being our first time there the overall experience from beginning to end was a pleasant one. Had an appointment to get my dog groomed this past Monday they called and said that their groomer had called out. Ok it happens, had my appointment switched to Wednesday. Spoke to them on the phone at 11 am to confirm that the appointment was today at 5:30. My sister got there before 5:30, like they asked and they said that the appointment wasn't on the books for today and that they couldn't see her today. My little sister took time out of her day to take our dog and I find it very unprofessional for this sort of thing to happen. We won't be back. read more

I brought my sister dog to get groomed and was denied service due to apparently her 7 month puppy not having his rabies shot. He had previously gone to Banfield and had no issue with his rabies shot. My sister called and Kim, the manager, and she said the associate showed her the paperwork, which is not true. Kim told my sister she denied service because she didn't know when the rabies shot expired. Take in mind he's 7 months with all his proper paperwork. He actually gave us a lot of information since he's a proud owner of a boa and a ball python. I will be phoning Corporate on Petsmart Tuesday. A dog went into seizure , at least 10 minutes or more, no employees on the floor, no Vets. I ran to the back but no Vets to the door, banged on the grooming door, one employee sensible one employee was very rude. We finally got the dog breathing a bit and another man, a customer too, had the dog and owner out the door to run to a nearby ER veterinarian. The dog owner didn't understand English but with enough sign and hand language he finally understood and snatched up his dog to follow the Customer. I finally found the Manager up front who was held up at a Register checking after just walking out of her office, that never budged or went to look even though the dog was screaming and people gathering. Needless to say she got an earful and enlightened on what took place and what needed done and what didn't happen that should have. I just hope the dog will be okay. It was a beautiful young husky. I had to leave a star to post otherwise would leave none. Very disappointing. read more

This was the first time that I took my puppy here for his grooming. He's a 4 month old German Shephard. I was originally informed that the grooming would take around 2 hours to be completed. His appointment was scheduled at 12:30pm. Upon check-in, I was told that I would receive a message whenever completed. At 2:44pm, I went back just to check the status of how far along he was since it was a little past the 2 hour marker. The young lady that was at the front had told me that he wasn't ready. Everything was good up until this point when she asked another associate the status of my "baby." The girl that she asked answered as if she was annoyed, unprofessional, and agitated. I was not rude nor pushy and was merely asking for a status update, following the directions I was told. I didn't appreciate the way she answered her colleague, especially while I'm, the paying customer, leaving my puppy in the hands of "professionals", can visibly see that this associate has an obvious attitude for being asked about something that's most likely listed in her job description. I had no other issues with any other associates and everyone else was polite and helpful and considerate and patient. Even the ones that were dealing with some pets that were a little tougher to handle. The only reason I put 3 stars because if I had only dealt with her, this would've been lowered for sure!! I'll update if this service gets better or worsens and get the name of the associate that was so bothered by a simple customer's question. read more

I'm a big believer in leaving your pet at home, rather than in a smoldering vehicle in the Texas heat. Well, I just haven't gotten an understanding why in the world you need to bring an animal with you to pick up a bag of dog/cat food. Then I came to this store to purchase some fish for my newly acquired fish tank for the kiddos. Boy was I surprised that I would need an advanced degree in chemistry to get the the tank prepared for marine life. Three weeks later and several ammonia and ph tests later, I was given the green light. The selection of fresh water fish is really good. Since the tank is so small (less than 5 gallons), I decided to get to a few Zebra Danio's, and a couple platty's. Well about 3 days later one platty died, took it back and had it replaced very quickly for free. Within two week's both platty's had died. So I just gave up and decided to keep the three Zebra Danio's. Boy they're some troopers. Still have two of those to this day, about 8 months later. One died about a week ago. The store is very clean and organized, and the staff is really nice and knowledgeable. The staff take the time to explain the information needed to start a new tank and allow you to take home some of their tank water also. read more

Clothes are so much cheaper at TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Homegoods They do not carry the Cadet brand Salmon snacks that my Benny loves-Major deal breaker for me I would be happy to use the pet sitting and training services and sometimes I may be tempted to purchase a new harness but won't be getting my dog food and snacks here read more

I came to this store to get a pet tag for my dog. I was attended at the register by an old lady. Her tag said Jacques. I don't know if that is her name or last name. I would have never imagined to come across such rude person at a pet supplies store. She was giving attitude and answering my questions in the driest way possible, then she started cursing (not at me) when you couldn't get the bags to open to put what I bought. I hesitated, but decided to talk to the head manager. I told him she could have been having a bad day, but she should not assume she is the only one.
