Unfortunately, my recent interaction with the owner was one of the worst and shocking customer service experiences I've ever had. One of my dogs is a high-anxiety rescue who requires medication for grooming, and couldn't be groomed that day due to construction noise going on at the facility. When I asked to briefly speak with the owner about the situation, he interrupted me before I could explain and said, "That noise is not our problem. I don't care." When I questioned that response, he repeated, "I don't care. Just leave." I was honestly stunned and simply picked up my dogs and left. A few minutes later he called me. Instead of speaking to me in a professional way, he immediately justified his behavior by saying he was stressed because of the construction. When I told him I wasn't returning he called me a "two-faced b****" and told me to "f*** off" before hanging up on me. The front desk staff were kind and professional, and Amber has always been wonderful with my dogs. But the way I was spoken to by the owner was shocking and completely unacceptable. Pet owners trust businesses like this with animals that are essentially members of their family. Being told "I don't care" twice by the person running the business, followed by that kind of treatment, destroyed any confidence I had in returning. Because of this experience, I will not be bringing my dogs back.

Unfortunately, after a one-week stay, one of our dogs came home with kennel cough and the other with Giardia. The vet visits, testing, and treatment ended up costing us about as much as the boarding itself. I understand illnesses can happen anywhere dogs are grouped together, but having both dogs come home with separate contagious illnesses makes me seriously question the cleanliness and sanitation standards here. My brother was staying at our house with our two dogs. Two days after we left for our two-week vacation, on July 4th, the air conditioner in our house broke. On a holiday and with a 7-hour time difference, we had to make other arrangements for our dogs. Happy Tails not only answered my texts first thing in the morning Dallas-time but they allowed my brother to drop off our dogs, even though they were closed. I had no idea how long my dogs would be there but they assured me the dogs could stay as long as we needed them to. We were in communication throughout the week as the repair status for our AC changed and Happy Tails was so responsive and accommodating. They got the port out and he had dried poop on him I gave him a bath the day before. I asked to speak to someone she was gone for the day they said her name is Vicky. So I called the next day and no one still have not got back with me. They should have not let my baby come home with poop on him upset I am. What if I didn't notice the port in his arm tthey tried to give an excuse but that shouldn't have happened. They would have been closed when I got home to drop him off an go back to work. Very late going back to work. Baby is 12yrs old an I take care of very well. He keeps me going.
