I brought my mini schnauzer in to get her nails trimmed. Staff was judgmental and rough with my dog. She's only 12lbs and had 2 people holding her down and saying they recommend her be medicated. She goes to the groomer with no problems or complaints I feel like they were aggressive with her. I heard her cry and yelp and she never does that. This is my favorite pet store! I have always been able to walk in and have my pups nails trimmed within 15 mins, makes it very convenient! (Be advised the first time you need all the required documentation). The staff are super friendly, smiley, and do seem to love animals! I love this location because of the sales. I never pay full price for toys, (My dog is a 95 pound Lab Puppy... needless to say there is no toy he cant destroy) so once a week I take him here to burn some energy, socialize with dogs and people, and pick out a new toy. I got to the salon only to be told they were having an incident with a dog. they asked me to reschedule. I explained how hard it is for me to no avail. I wasn't given the option to wait, just reschedule. The groomers were attentive to my dog's cues and knew to take it slow since he's very new to the process. We've come back a few times and have tried other places. Nicole has dogs herself which added to her experience. She was very informative and not in an up sell kind of way. Coralis was sweet and has been grooming for a long time. She even sang and calmed my dog down. Amazing! Other places have told me that my rescue pup was "too stressed" and would not groom him. So far, so good!! I recently switched my business here from Petco and I've been happy with my experience to this point. I used the grooming center for my beagle mix to get a de-shedding treatment, bath, teeth brushing and nail trim. The staff was super sweet and complimentary to me about his behavior. I was also really happy with the results! Then I went to buy some new doggie stairs for my yorkie who has a slipped disc and the staff was very helpful in leading me directly to the area where the stairs were because I couldn't find them on my own. Can I give a negative negative star , because this place deserves it . Let's start off by saying me and my fiancé were in this store for 15 minutes before someone even came over to help us. They were too busy holding animals and walking to the back area instead of helping customers how wonderful. Next I needed something they didn't have ( 100 meal worms ) so my fiancé asked if they could do the 50 and 50 and just give it to us for the same price since they didn't have it . She said yes and even then she had to walk us to the front to let the cashier know , mind you I wasn't done shopping okay whatever time to leave. So we get to the register ( only one open) and some lady is there clearly tell she stole and is trying to return something that they won't exchange this goes on for 5 minutes before they decide to help up. Like come on now help us and open another register we should be in CHECK OUT and not being checked out. At this point I'm pissed because there's 3 associates just standing there trying to help this lady while we just sit here . So next we get rung up , and nothing is coming up the price that was displayed. What gives ? She says do you have a card of so type it in and you get the rewards , we do still nothing . I shop at their locations all the time I even have the card. I got 3 animals and they need to be fed as much as humans and they just lost my business and anyone else who mention them to me . When shopping here make sure you match the upc with your product even though that isn't your job because the manager will says " it's not my job , or that's not mg problem ". Last i remembered the associates SHE hires are supposed to STOCK and make sure stuffs in place how are that many things out of place ? I don't know if this is a thing in that store but the couple of times I've bought my dog food their I've been finding worms/moths in my bag of brand new food. They say it's caused by the material where the food is stored. They are also very very very low on stock and when you ask why they give you some scripted fake version of how "shipment comes on Tuesdays" like bitch just tell me the truth instead of lying. I heard them overtalk when they were training someone that they just make shit up so we don't ask a lot of questions, even though their job is to help us. They pride themselves on being the best store in the city or whatever the fuck they call it but in reality, they are the WORST. They for sure scammed their way to the top, half of em been working at PetSmart since they were teens and they say that with so much pride. Like, imagine (no offense to the nice ones) working your whole life at Petsmart? Sounds pretty draining and they don't care about the employees, they only care about getting the best ratings. Came in here looking to buy fish for my new aquarium. Was told by a staff member that I should get a couple guppies for the size tank I had. I made sure to make it very clear that I only wanted guppies of the same sex because of how fast they reproduce. I was reassured they were all males. Within a couple days I went back to Petsmart and was looking around and saw the African dwarf frogs and the staff member working that area told me to only get one if I dont want them reproducing and had me buy algae wafers for its food. So I take my frog home and put him in the tank and that night put the algae wafer in. A few days go by of the frog being in the tank just him and the guppies and me feeding my fish there flake food and putting the algae wafer in for him and I notice him slowly not doing too well. I then go online and look up African dwarf frogs and the first thing I read is to NEVER have just one!! They are extremely social animals and have to have at least 2. Second thing I read in they do not and will not eat algae. They need live food and protein and could never live off algae. The next day I go straight to a different store and purchase bloodworms and food especially for aquatic frogs and get a 2nd African dwarf frog to keep him company and go home add the 2nd frog to the tank and put a couple bloodworms in the tank and a couple pieces of the frog food for them. A couple hours later I come to the tank and check on them and my original frog was just about dead floating at the top of the water. read more

I was there to get my dogs nails trimmed by grooming. After being told to wait a half an hour I was then told to wait another 15 minutes. When the 15 minutes were up someone came to help me, looked up my dog, and of course they tell me i cant get the dogs nails trimmed because my rabies had expired, which seemed odd to me, i did not argue since i had the vaccination done there and had been there repeatedly to get the nails done over the time after the vaccination. I returned home checked my rabies information and found that it still had another year so now after wasting almost 2 hours of my time i call them back and tell them and they tell me oh sorry sometimes our system doesnt load properly and told me to come back in to get them done like its no big deal to take another hour of my time. Not 1 single offer or apology for my time horrible customer service will not be recommending or returning to this place again. read more

I went in to purchase two feeder gold fish as a beginner pet for my niece. I was denied because the Manager, Jeremy did not like the temporary tank I was going to gift them in. Mind you the feeder fish in that store looked poorly taken care of anyway. One of the tanks had a rotting fish in it and it was getting eaten by all of the other sad looking fish. My daughter was so disgusted and we were thinking we were saving them from their misery. As I left I could see Jeremy talking about me with the other workers. How unprofessional. A few minutes before all this the other worker dropped a fish on the floor. What makes them better able to take care of the fish? I felt totally discriminated against and insulted. My only minor complaint is that I wish the dog section were a little smaller so that they could use that space to offer every possible cat play-structure known to man (and feline). So I am a first ever dog owner with my three month old puppy and I came to this petsmart with questions about vaccines and what's next for him. As I do have a spanish speaking mother I had to go in and out about two times since my mom had stayed in the car and asked me to ask the questions for her lack of english speaking. The store associate who attended me was named Stephanie, an extremely helpful and kind person! Stephanie was so patient with me having so many questions and the time I spent translating to my mom what she was saying when in the second time going in she came in w me. I've gone to many pet stores and have not met such a helpful and charismatic person as Stephanie was. She also provided me with so much information. We have been taking our boxer mix to be groomed here for 5 years. The staff are always kind and helpful. We took our dog today to be groomed. She hasn't been in a while, and she was super nervous. Again, the staff (particularly Coralys) was amazing. She took the time to explain how our dog's visit went, what we can do to help with her coat, and how to make her more comfortable when being groomed in the future. Our dog is like our child, and leaving her with people who sincerely care about her well-being and comfort level means so much to us. Long story short I recently was trying to get my puppy groomed for her first birthday but petsmart didn't have availability online so I called and was put on a waiting list and PATIENTLY waited for a call back. The women called me back a few days later with the date up above GREAT! I received an email today saying they put my dog in for a bath and full cut..... I was never asked what service I wanted. So I called well BRIAN answered the phone when I called to ask about the email but BRIAN said he was too busy to deal with customers and I needed to call back in an hour. So I tried to voice to Brian that it was understandable that he was busy but so am I. BRAIN seemed to not care about that and he didn't have a pen so I needed to call back. I hung up on him hoping I could call back and speak to a manager about Brian's ignorance but the manager was Brian. Verbatim " Hi I was wondering if I could speak to a manager? Brian YUP what can I do for you!!!!!! YUPPPPPP as a manager who says yup to a customer? And from there it was all down hill. Now I received an email stating my appointment is canceled. Which is fine because after being spoken to by BRIAN as a human I can only imagine how Brian and his staff treat animals. I already called and scheduled my dog with a small business whom is much more polite and professional. I've also called corporate and reported BRIAN! There was some urine on the floor with one caution cone over it and people have been walking through it and spreading the urine all around the floor. STAY AWAY!!! We brought my little 6 month old shih tzu named Bella in for her first grooming. My husband and I specifically told the woman " DO NOT CUT HER FACE" She was told this several times. When I went in to get her. Not only did they cut ALL of her hair off EVERYWHERE but it was the worst hack job. I emailed the CEO and he is a joke. I was in tears at the store. I may not have liked the excessive charges or the owners horrible attitude at Lucky Dogz but at least they listened when I told them not to cut my 2yr old Bentleys face.
