I stopped by this PetSmart store to look for dog treats that I was going to get for my neighbor dog. I came before lunch so I was able to find parking easily. When you walk inside the store, the dog treats are on the left side of the store at the first aisle. I was looking for turkey liver treats since that's what my neighbor dog likes. I couldn't find the dog treats so I walked around the store. I saw the grooming area but there was not pets there. I saw some fish tank and fish toward the back of the store. I do NOT recommend this store if you care about animal welfare. Every time I've visited, I've seen dead goldfish and betta fish left in tanks, which is honestly disturbing and unacceptable. This doesn't look like a one-time issue--it seems ongoing and ignored. The worst part was seeing a gecko with a severe head injury (looked like a bite wound). I ended up taking it home because it clearly wasn't being cared for. No animal should be left in that condition. The overall environment gives the impression that animals here are treated as inventory rather than living beings. Basic care, cleanliness, and monitoring all seem to be lacking. If you're considering buying a pet, I strongly suggest going somewhere that actually prioritizes animal health and humane treatment. read more

Dangerous product! I bought two bags of cat food from this store, and they contained live worms/larvae and small insects. Within a few days, the infestation spread to every bag of cat food in my home, including older ones. My cats ate this food and now have digestive problems. This is extremely unsafe. I have photos and videos proving it. The official PetSmart complaint form doesn't work and their email is inactive, so I'm posting here. Had the worst possible experience at this location at the hands of Kevin ( the shift manager ). I went in to return my unopened/sealed self cleaning cat cartridge that I HAD PAID CASH FOR $275 with a valid receipt and Kevin refused to return it and told me to come back at Noon the next day ( I work and can't take time off work at noon ). There is no where on the receipt does it specify that a cash return can only be made at noon or before 8pm but mind you the store is open until 9pm. A customer is allowed to walk into a business like petsmart during their business hours and return any valid item for a full refund in the same form of payment that was used to purchase it. It's illegal to refuse to return the item and force the customer to return the next day at noon. It appears that Kevin closes all his cash registers out except for one before 8pm and then forces customers to return back at noon to complete a refund transaction. A female customer like me felt uncomfortable and found Kevin's behavior unprofessional. It's shocking to see that petsmart appoints untrained staff for managerial positions. read more

The staff here is always so helpful. We've had questions about sales or returns to do and they are always glad to help. But 1000+ stars to Cindy the dog whisperer. She's a wonderful teacher and you could just tell she loves what she does. We're currently training two dogs and we feel confident enough to take them out and know we have been taught the tools be behave well. It's great if you want to start training your pooch to bundle classes it's a lot cheaper and honestly you won't regret it. I get stopped on walks and to get asked if I'm a trainer because I've been taught the right tools and look like I know what I'm doing all thanks to Cindy. She's truly the best. read more

This is a large Petsmart that is consistently clean and well maintained. The parking is always easy to find a spot, which are very spacious. I pretty much only visit the fish area which always looks well taken care of, as do the individual bettas. They have a decent selection of live plants, The tissue culture plants look alive and healthy and the staff was really nice. Thank you! read more

Most of the people here are very nice - to your face. One handed me a toothbrush and said "in case you ever want to brush your dog's teeth." She didn't think I heard the rest about not taking care of my dog properly. I didn't say anything because I have so much going on in my life - I just don't need to add unsolicited opinions from young people with no life experience. However, perhaps, before you speak, you should have some empathy for what people are going beyond your dog baths. My dog was dying at the time. She had a yard, got walked, and I prepared her food myself. She had regular vet appointments. I found her in a kill pound. Trust me - she had a lot better life than she ever would have. So she wasn't clean when I brought her in. Who cares. That's why I'm bringing her there. Can I add what is going on beyond your grooming salon? My best friend of 15 years is in hospice. The gen z groomers probably don't know that mean's - she's dying. I work two jobs. I have others to take care of. I do not walk into your grooming salon to get backhanded comments. Maybe - don't make comments. Maybe - do your job and wash the animals and keep your uneducated, thoughtless opinions to yourself. Terrible grooming service here. Literally had my appointment scheduled, just for it to get cancelled by the rude dark haired female groomer with the stupid glasses because she overbooked HERSELF. Went in for my rescheduled appointment for my dog and she still looked just as overbooked and stressed a week later. She took my dog nonetheless, was bothered that I asked her to NOT cut my dog's nails and tried to ARGUE with me, the client, over it. Rudely stated that if my dog doesn't behave, I would get charged. I didn't get charged because my dog was well behaved when the groomer is the one acting like an animal who has never decently interacted with anyone else before. If you're that miserable, that really isn't my problem. Even the two receptionists who checked in my dog apologized for HER behavior when she couldn't be bothered to even consider apologizing. People like that should not be near any sort of animal. My dog came out looking damn ridiculous. This store needs to make sure this woman gets some training in manners and etiquette as to how to talk to customers. Otherwise, get rid of her. You all would be better off without her. read more

It was my first time having my dog groom here thinking it would have the best service for dog grooming i did also pay for extra add ons to pamper my dog. Staff wasnt that much a good customer service they are not that friendly. Probably to regulars but as a first timer it wasnt a good impression. When the grooming was done im happy with his haircut they did a good job on it and also explained to me things they did for the grooming. I was hoping my dog's nails would be good, they are cut yes but oh my goodness his nails are sharper than before he went in... to a point that while i was driving it literally cut me my legs and arms looked like i had fight with a bear. Made a reservation over the phone for the pet hotel. The woman on the phone was great so we expected the same treatment. Wow were we wrong. Drove 40 minutes to take our dog to the "pet hotel" where we had reservations. The store itself is small and dirty, not at all like the store pictured in the videos online. We made our way to the side of the store but NO ONE was there. Rang their doorbell, no one answered. Stood around for a few minutes waiting but not a single person came to see if we needed help. I went in search of an employee who could help us. Spotted two male workers in the fish department talking to each other, and started walking towards them. One of the men started right at me, then rushed away. The other one started talking to people near him. I went to look for the man who ran away but it appears he ducked away from me through the employees only doors. Walked around a bit more but couldn't find anyone. Would have asked the slow moving cashier but her line was too long to wait there just to ask a question. Went back to the "hotel" area. Husband decided to try. He also wandered around the dirty little store but came back because he also couldn't find an employee to help us. We were there for fifteen minutes and no one was around so i called petsmart itself. Got someone from the grooming department on the phone & they got someone to come out of the back to greet us. "I was on the phone" was what the woman who came out of the back told us. Yeah right. Probably on her phone making "look at me i'm at work" tiktoks. Anyway. She asked for our dog's vaccination records, which we handed to her. She turned it over and flipped it and looked at it for so long I wondered if she could read. Then she goes, "I don't understand this date. Is this when it was given, or..." I was thinking, 'are you for real? It says 2024!' Then she looks him over and starts commenting on his eyes, which is goopy because he has dry eyes and allergies like most dogs that are the same breed as him have. She asks what's wrong with him. We tell her he has allergies. She wipes his eyes & proceeds to inspect him as if she were a vet. "He has red spots on his feet." Yes. We are aware. He has allergies. We tell her again. She comments more about his skin conditions so we tell her again. And again. And again. We even go so far as to explain to her his medical treatment with his vet but she's still confused. I don't know what part of 'he has allergies and is being treated by his vet' she couldn't understand but wow. Not the brightest lightbulb in the store I guess. She says he is scheduled for a bath and calls a groomer over so they can look at him. The groomer comes over to look, meanwhile hubby asks if they have a vet on hand. (The main reason why we decided to book here in the first place was because pet smart's website says they have on site vets.) The hotel woman says no. They moved out a couple years ago. Okay. Would've been nice to know that beforehand. The groomer finishes inspecting the dog the way an auto body repair person would appraise a car and says "no I can't give him a bath. He has allergies." Which is REALLY weird because he has gone to groomers who bathe and care for him with no issues-- HIS ENTIRE LIFE. First time he was ever turned away from a bath EVER. She calls another man to come look and from about 15 Feet away, he decides that they were definitely right. They couldn't take him in. The woman at the "hotel" (which was basically set up like a humane society) says, "you should just take him to a vet that can watch him." Really? Wtf. Long story short, this store definitely doesn't like customers, money or helping people. Never going back. read more

Not sure why this place has such negative reviews. We had a wonderful time with every staff from the grooming salon, pet daycare/hotels and cashiers at the registers. For grooming salon, make sure you let them know what type of cut you want for your fur baby. It wasn't our favorite in the beginning but now we know exactly what we want. Our dog Louie always gets "lab cut" that makes him look like a lab with short coat. You can ask them for the cut coding and they'll write it down for you. That way you can make sure you get a consistent grooming each time! If you don't like the cut ask the staff and they will try their absolute best so that your pup looks exactly how you want. For pet daycare/hotels, all the trainers and staff are absolutely amazing! They all know Louie by name and Louie absolutely loves them in return. They put name necklace tags around each dog during check-in. We tried many doggie daycares in the valley but haven't come across any that does this. This is important since you can identify the dog immediately without having to find a doctor with microchip scanner if the dog gets lost. The doggie day camp has a set schedule for different activities which keeps your dog stimulated and learn social skills. It's definitely not one of those daycares that put dogs in a room and just forgets about them. Shout out to Stephanie who always takes great care with Louie. Never had any issues with cashiers at the registers. If anything I feel bad for using so many coupons all the time haha They've always welcomes us, patient while we give them a million coupons and reward points to use. Having my dog finish the beginner, intermediate, and advanced puppy training was one of the best decisions I've ever made since I got her. We finished all of our puppy training earlier this year, but the knowledge and discipline retained. This proves to be really useful especially when bringing my dog outside. Cindy was my dog's trainer and I'd say that hands down she's the best. She was very patient and you can tell that she cares for you and your dog. She did not mind staying a little bit longer at some of our sessions to make sure that we absorbed the lessons and we know what to do. She will give you homework and will check your progress each week. If you were too busy or just wasn't able to do it, don't worry, she have a lot of tips and tricks she can suggest to make training more optimized for you and your dog. By the way, some people expects the trainer to train their dogs for them, but sorry to break it out to you - you'll have to put up some work and train your dogs. The trainer is just there to guide you. It's more like training you how to train your dog - which is a good thing because you get to bond more and your dog will show you more respect. I'm sure you'll realize this once your pups grow older. The rest of the store is pretty organized. Shelves are well-stocked and you can easily look for items that you need. All the employees are really friendly and helpful. One of the cashiers still remembers my dog because she met her when she was 6 months old. We always have conversation on how my dog was super tiny and now she's now all grown up. I'm sure my dog loves her too because she's giving her treats when we checkout. read more

Where do I start!!!! Everyone here is so amazing! From the clerk that greets you every time you go in to every associate on the floor always willing to answer any questions. However, honestly love the people at the pet hotel!!!! My puppy Rottweiler absolutely LOVES each and everyone of them. Sky who is almost 5 months old is a regular here and knows exactly where she's at every time we go in the parking lot, wagging her tail in such excitement and with the biggest smile on a puppy's face automatically takes us straight to the hotel help desk. Words can never truly express how thankful I am for the entire team and who genuinely love to see her come in and are seen her grow up. Being a Rottweiler is no easy task, as most people are afraid of her just by looks and not knowing just how strong she is going to be! But everyone here is dedicated to teaching her social skills and manners, which makes Sky love everyone she meets and wanna play with any dog she sees!!! I mostly come here for grooming services. (Now that Banfield is no longer in this location). For grooming I like Cindy. She's super nice and does a good job. They have good sales occasionally so that's when I shop. Otherwise it's kinda pricey. Especially for clothes. I didn't want to spend about $20 on a sweater for my 15lb dog. Such terrible experience.. I brought in my one year old GSD for a groom. (She gets groomed frequently). She has been to this location plenty of times before. She is a sweet girl and no doggy groomer/daycare/boarding facility has ever had a problem. I get a call and her groomer Michelle informed me that she can not continue her grooming and has left it half way cause my dog is being "aggressive". This came as a surprise to me. I rushed down to go pick her up, (Rosie lives with two kids and we've never experienced any aggression) Michelle (the "groomer") said that she was biting and barking other dogs.. shocked.. i asked her if she bit a dog and if the dog was okay? She said no she didn't bite anyone she was just barking.. Very contradictory.. Then some random person working there proceeded to tell me that Rosie's aggressive behavior was that she barking in her kennel.. i guess they think that a dog should write a letter to them about their discomfort and not bark???? Lastly, she said, Rosie playfully put the groomers hand in her mouth, which the groomer considered aggressive? The same groomer then continued to tell me that she's such a sweet girl.. Im having a hard time believing any of the nonsense they said..super contradictory.. I was charged a full price for a shitty job, (literally) upon pick up my pup had poop on her paws, which the groomer "wiped" right in-front of me, while refusing to wash her again. Never going back.. my pup was stressed out and crying when she came out of their grooming facility. read more
