Though the prices are way cheaper online for many of the products, what really keeps me coming back here is the friendly, courteous and knowledgable staff. Most specifically Matt V. He has always been the one to help me when I stop by with our new puppy. If I could do one thing over it would be to sign up for his training courses. Took my Lhasa Apso in for his first hair cut ever, mind you he has had all of his shots including his bordatella. About ten days later he was lethargic not eating and slept all day long. Took him to the vet and he has kennel cough and pet smart did not clean his anal glands completely so the vet had to and they said if they didn't do it he was close to having it burst and would get an infection. When I called pet smart the girl I talked to was very uninterested in what I was telling her and frankly didn't give a shit. The only reason I know he got it there is because he hasn't been around any other dogs except there. Don't take your dog here unless your prepared to pay $300.00 in vet fees or if you just don't care about your pet. I for one will never be back. read more

Just brought my frenchie in to get his ears cleaned. I usually do this myself but I at times it's just easier to pay for the cleaning when shopping for pet supplies. That's why I've always gone to the petco that is closes to me. As soon as I got in my car to leave I noticed there was still copious amounts of dirt in my pups ear. To top it off there were abrasions in his inner ear! $8 for only a few moments if work, I would expect a little more. I would not recommend taking your dog here. read more

Just took our dog in for a sanitary area trim, bath and nail clipping (all for $32). Deserae P. did an AMAZING JOB! We are very picky with our fur baby and usually groom him ourselves, but we couldn't be bothered to this time. Glad we discovered this particular Petsmart grooming salon and Deserae. I love local pet stores as well, but unfortunately the selection near the Gateway area is limited. PetSmart introduced me to a whole new world of pet products without having to drive across a bridge. Or even across Burnside. I enjoy that they feature Oregon Humane Society cats for adoption and their pocket pets/fish have about as much room as they would in someone's home and look healthy. read more

I took my boyfriends 2 year old German Shepherd in for a quickie bath and brush because he was itching like mad. The gal at the counter helped me figure out what I needed for him and didn't try to push anything on me, which was lovely. We decided on one of the cheaper bath packages and added on a nail grinding and medicated shampoo. She ended up undercharging me on one of the add-ons, which was incredibly nice and unexpected. She took the dog back into the salon and told me he'd be ready in a couple of hours. I had an appointment to be at, so I went ahead and came back after. She had gone home, but my dog was ready and shining for me with an adorable bandana and a goofy grin. He literally strutted out of the salon and his coat felt like satin and smelled like oatmeal. It was wonderful! The best part was with the nail grind, almost an inch of his craaaazy nails were ground down and he didn't scratch when hopping onto the bed for like a month after. I'm only reviewing now because I realized that this place had such awful reviews, and I think that Cascade Station has really picked up the pace. The facility is beautiful and clean, the entire salon staff were helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. I'd definitely bring the dog back for a spa day - and at $50 for the services, I'm completely happy. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, was by this location stopped in due to being here for a morning car meet and the lady was very rude to us saying we shouldn't have been here and told us to leave yelling at us as we walked out the door. we stopped our purchase and will no longer be buying from here! People in the car community bring their pets to these events and having the petsmart near by was convenient for them. Although for how we were treated we will no longer shop here. Great location and easy parking at the cascade station location. Found what I was looking for ( a dog collar for a gift) and a really funny dog shirt that caught my eye. Very large and spacious store and has a full service grooming area in front where you can watch the little cuties getting haircuts. Will definitely be back as there is easy access avoiding the freeway mess. read more

After taking my dog in for a groom I noticed her eye bleeding I called right away to see what had happened to her. The only answer I got was, "We don't know, she was a bit wiggly " her eye swelled and was covered in blood only ten minutes after her groom. We took my dog Layla, to the vet she suffered a scleral hemorrhage, this is caused from pulling on the leash, or having it on too tight. I am extremely upset and so angry. If they would have been upfront and said they hurt her perhaps I would understand, but the fact that they kept their mouth shut shows alot. They did not care. They have lost my business completely. Please don't groom your dogs here!! read more

Bloody mess......back from camping and grabbing dog food, thought I'd put my mini poodle in for a wash, brush, and trim. They could get him in in a couple hours so I booked. While waiting I watched 2 groomers cut 2 dogs....blood on the table! They were working on feet. I walked in and cancelled the appointment. read more

wow... my yorkie looks like a min-pin... he did have a couple mats... yes i admit i got a little behind brushing him but not that much at all... they made the decision to shave him (without calling ahead of time) and did a terrible job at that.... didn't mention the hypo allergenic shampoo was extra, they just mentioned off hand that they were gonna use that... I walked right past my dog when i got there... It's gonna take months for him to recover from this haircut... never ever again!! I was so astonished i didnt even have the presence of mind to complain... my poor lil guy!! read more

I happened to be near this store around the time they closed, and my husband called to tell me something had fallen on our fish tank and it had broken. I got there at about 10 min after they closed. Hey had every right to turn me away and they heard me out and let me pick up a new tank really fast. My fishy and I are super thankful for that. Our nearly-five-month-old puppy is a bit shy of strangers and had never been professionally bathed before, so we were a bit worried. I talked with Krystal about him when I booked her, though, and she assured me she would take all the time and care needed to be sure it was a good experience for him. Still a little hesitant, we left him with her this morning, hoping for the best -- he definitely needed that bath. We weren't sure what we'd find when we returned. Well, what we found was one very Happy puppy! He was glad to see us, but in no hurry to stop being pampered. Krystal was still working on him and he was standing very patiently and happily, clearly enjoying the experience. We could not get over how gorgeous he was and, more importantly, how comfortable and relaxed he was. Krystal made three fans this morning. We wouldn't think of taking our Archie anywhere else! We highly, highly recommend PetSmart grooming, but especially Kristal for your puppy baths and grooming. read more

My golden retriever received an awesome grooming job today. She was soft and smelled wonderful when I picked her up, and she had adorable blue bows in her hair. I received a report card that explained her grooming job for the day. She got low shed shampoo today because the groomer said she was shedding. It only takes 3 hours for her bath, nails and trim. The place was clean, relaxed, not busy on a Monday, with lots of natural light from the windows. The staff is very friendly and nice, and they truly love their clients (dogs)!! read more

I decided to take my dog for a sleek and professional hair cut at this location today July 27 That was a huge mistake, even that the lady was agreeing on how I wanted my dog's hair cut it turned out unprofessional and cut the hair I told not to cut. The full groom service just lasted less than one and a half hour. I don't recommend this grooming place, I wasted time and money! read more

I have a large St. Bernard dog that was supposed to be groomed today, June 30, 2018. I had to wait almost 3 weeks for the appointment, but was assured on the phone by the associate that they had a great groomer that was experienced with large breed dogs. I told the young lady that my dog had never been to the groomer and was extremely anxious about us grooming her, so I expected her to be a handful at her appointment. Maybe even ungroomable due to anxiety. Never once did the associate tell me that they could not groom my dog if she had anti anxiety pills. Nada. No mention whatsoever. My veterinarian recommended anti-anxiety pills for her. I picked up prescription and administered the dosage and took her in for her appointment this afternoon. Only then did the lady at the desk tell me that my appointment was cancelled because my dog had taken anti-anxiety pills. What the ?? Why wasn't I informed of their policy when I made the appointment 3 weeks ago. I specifically told them my dog was super anxious. I paid for a prescription recommended by the vet and it was nothing but a huge waste of time and money. Never going here again. Don't bother. Lousy customer service, poor communication. Not even a reminder call the day before. read more

Bath for short haired dog w/ oatmeal shampoo and nail grinder for her dewclaws (her regular claws we agreed were fine) - almost $50!!! Wow, but we wanted to get our pup spoiled a bit so we took her in. Checking her in was fast, she was greeted with lots of affection, and our pup went happily. They called us when she was done and when we came to pick up, a customer was blocking the door and we had to knock repeatedly to get him to move so we could come in. When we got in, this customer had his two chihuahuas off leash at the front desk who were barking loudly and lunging at another dog who was leaving. As our dog had been attacked by a chihuahua in the past and these dogs were being aggressive toward other dogs, we asked him and the staff to please contain them while our dog was brought out. The owner ignored us, and the staff member said "we'll wait to get your dog til his are all taken care of". Um, no, wrong answer. I told her (as I'd mentioned when we dropped our dog off) that we were on a tight schedule which is why we prepaid, so she got our dog and my husband blocked off the little rat dogs so we could get out quickly. Along with that, we asked how our dog did as we'd said it was her first time to a grooming salon, and the lady said she was great except she was terrified of the dryer "no matter how many times she tried to get her under it" Wait a second - my dog is terrified and you kept trying? When we picked her up she was clean and soft (hence the stars), but incredibly stressed out, anxiety-ridden. This is a dog who loves people and going to the vet. While I had great experiences with my last dog there, after hearing that they kept trying to put her under the dryer (dogs can dry off just fine on their own - we'd have been fine if they'd just given us a coupon for next time instead of pushed to dry her. Our girl is big, sweet, and very sensitive - a little more sensitivity to this on PetSmart's part would have made it worth the money rather than made us mistrusting of their techniques. So, not sure if we'll go back unless we can get a guarantee that if our dog is scared of something, they won't push that scary thing on her. read more
