Do not take your pet there for grooming. They agreed to do a full grooming on my dog (20 yrs old, 8lbs) and shaved a big patch on her back and within 10 minutes refused to finish the job. They said my dog was stressed out and showing signs of distress, yet was calm when I got there 5 minutes later. While I've always been greeted by nice staff on the floor, this doesn't excuse their subpar grooming service. I must say the grooming salon is one of the worst I've experienced with regard to customer service, pet accommodations, and a consistent/knowledgeable staff. I have only every had a good experience with Tray. Not to mention, I can always tell when the groomers stop caring, seeing as my dog has been returned with quite a few knots and untrimmed parts (that i end up fixing myself). I would strongly encourage management to ensure that all groomers are aware of store policy and how to show compassion. I can understand store policy, but I'll never understand blatant rudeness and stupidity. All I wanted was my dog washed and groomed, but staff at this location have proved over and over that they can't even do that.. When the rude young lady suggested I try a mobile grooming salon, I was happy to oblige. Y'all don't deserve my business or my sweet doggo anyway. Although this is a large and well stocked store, they are terrible to deal with on a return. We bought a $45 Nerf Gun that jammed the first time I used it. We set it aside because I couldn't get back to the store for a few weeks. I was assured by the Palm Desert store they could look up the purchase on my rewards number so no receipt wasn't an issue. The item is clearly brand new but the three balls are gone that came with it as we live in the desert and I am elderly, could not retrieve them. When I tried to return the item for exchange in Redlands they not only said no, they made an embarrassing scene at the cash register holding up the line, called me a liar and were absolutely beyond rude. I will never set foot in that store again. They kept saying the item was not resaleable! Yeah I know! It jammed! I can't use it either!!! read more

I've used this location a couple times now for CurbSide pick up during the stay at home orders. My closest PetSmart doesn't have what I need in stock. My dog has a food allergy and it's hard to locate his food. So far it's been available here (low quantity but available). Today, i picked up 3 items, two of which were heavy. Marina brought them out to my car and put them in the trunk for me. She was very kind and the service was SPEEDY. From the time I pulled up to the time I left was only 6 minutes total. Bought plastic dog kennel used a coupon and got $5 off. Went home found out it was missing the metal door on front so went back to the store to return for one that had door. They return it and say I owe $5 since last purchase used coupon. I explained how it wasn't my fault that item was faulty but they insisted it wasn't their fault and the manufactures sometimes makes mistakes. I had to talk to the manager to get the issue resolved. Giant waste of time and driving back and forth. Spend more money and get better customer service at petco or a small business pet store. read more

Don't recommend grooming with this store. I usually go to riverside but was very desperate and took a chance here despite the reviews. I should've just listened and taken my pup somewhere else. 1. I drove from an hour away and was running 10 minutes behind. Told them my situation, they didn't care how far I drove, how much traffic I was in, the groomer just wanted me to be there on the dot or they wouldn't take her at all. I was more than half way there! Why make yourself available for the booking time, if you'd rather just tell a customer not to come??? That's how you make sure someone doesn't come to you again. 2. I made a note of matting in the appointment, and added an shampoo package but they choose to add more packages to the service and charge me for that. (The problem isn't being charged extra for matting, I am fully aware of having to pay for that) 3. I get there 10 minutes after, trying my hardest to get there on time, and they give me some cheap excuse that their clippers won't work and to go somewhere else. I normally go to the Petsmart on Hospitality in San Bernardino, for my dog Jacob to get groomed. They had to cancel my appointment due to my groomer having an emergency, which is ok, because that hasn't happened over the last 7 years of us going there, however my dog still needed to be groomed. I called this location and they had grooming availability. Sure, this location is newer, cleaner and I did like layout of the grooming salon better. Thats where the greatness ends. They begin to check us in, and I believe the girl who checked Jacob in was named Brenda, she seemed BRAND NEW. We have specific needs for him, which aren't rocket science, we just like his face cut short because he is going blind and when his har grows out on his eye brow area and snout it makes his eyesight worse, and we also ask that they do not shave his sanitary area as he gets razor burn and it really irritates him. They seriously acted as if I was asking for them to bathe him is a gold bath and give him the most difficult hair cut ever, to the point she had to go get her supervisor to tell us what they are allowed to do according to petsmart "policy". They did not give us an eta, as to when he would be ready, nor did they have him ready within 4 hours, and when we went to get him on the 4th hour Cat or Kat however she spells her name was absolutely rude, she told me it was a weekend, uhhhh, Thanks brainiac, I know that, I also know that we do not like our dog just sitting in the kennel while you all are busy arguing with customers regarding the grooming requests being made for their dogs. Its been 5 weeks today and jacobs snout hairs and eye brows are growing into one another totally hindering his sight, and I feel guilty for taking him to this salon. I will never come to this location for anything ever again. They were not friendly, nor efficient. It honestly was odd, because I've also gone to the Moreno valley one for Jacob before we moved out to San Bernardino almost 8 years ago, and they also were a lot more efficient, professional and friendly. This is my go-to petsmart and it never disappoints! A staff named David helped me with my hunt of puppy food and even educate me as a first time dog owner, he dedicated so much time and gave me helpful tips! I've researched all over the internet but nothing beats getting advice from a dog owner himself, he also gave me a coupon booklet to help with the expenses. I'm very disappointed with grooming. When I picked up both cockapoos, brought them home, and I found out that poop on behind wasn't clean and not shaved/cut. I don't think the groomer did the anal cleanse. The cutting was very sloppy. Both paws weren't trimmed. One of my cockapoo became frightened when I tried to put harness on her. She got frightened when I put my hand to pet her face. She wasn't like that before I brought them to Petsmart. She had been abused and neglected for 5years before I adopted her. If I can give a 0 I would. I took my corgi yesterday to get groomed and nails clipped. When we picked her up the staff told us she had accident because she did not like her nails groomed and she pooped on herself. When we got home we noticed 1 eye was bloodshot. I called yesterday and spoke to the person that was clipping her nails. She did mention she told my boyfriend that she pooped on herself they never mentioned that she "rolled off" and kept "rolling off" if you are unable to handle a dog do not keep going. Stop and call the owner. I never once got a call about her being difficult with her nails nor did I get a call when she got done. Today she woke up with BOTH eyes bloodshot. We called again and now they are saying it could have happened at home. I have 4 dogs different sizes and different ages I have never had this type of problem. I have never had this problem with any of my dogs being groomed. I will never come here again or even recommend this place to anyone. Best believe I will go beyond to make sure no one goes to this place. And I want absolutely nothing from them but I want people to be aware. read more

This review is solely based on my grooming experience with Samantha F aka Sammie F F. She seemed so nice when we dropped off our dog Charlie at his appointment, but little did we know that he would be receiving the worst haircut of his life!!! We usually take him to the same groomer of over 10+ years at PetSmart Ontario, but wanted to save the drive and what a mistake that was! We asked for the usual and all his notes were in the system since he goes to another location. Teddy bear face, ears to the leather, very high sanitary (to armpits), cut/trim tail, no guard comb on head and body length about half his current length (more if he had some mats) we agreed about a 4 maybe a 5 if necessary. When he came out Sammie wasn't there it was one of the bathers that brought him out and we were appalled at first sight! I said omg he looks terrible and she laughed and I immediately said it's not funny!!! I was so far from joking, I could cry! I pointed out everything that was wrong and how it wasn't remotely close to what he was supposed to look like and she said he looked fine that she didn't know what my dog was supposed to look like but couldn't apologize for the poor work so I asked for the manager because I wanted a refund since it was so bad! The manager came and she said you guys had a question to which I quickly responded no! I want my refund for the poor job and again no apology she said I'll take you at that register and that was it! I was given my money back but my poor dog was left looking hideous! We could've given him a better haircut with zero knowledge about dog grooming! Don't waste your time coming to this grooming salon! We love this PetSmart and so does our pup! This location just opened and I am so incredibly impressed by everything this store has to offer. First of all, the employees are wonderful. So nice!! Everyone is approachable and so many of them asked us if we needed help. They obviously care about who they hire as everyone was nice and huge animal lovers. They were all so sweet to our dog too! Another thing, sign up for the rewards!!! I've gotten so many really awesome coupons (free treats, 10 dollars of 10, etc). It's just your email and phone number and then your deals come through email. This location is very clean and has a nice modern look to it as it is brand new. Employees are often cleaning everything in the slow periods. Overall this place is the best. I love it, my dog loves it, and this is our new go-to pet store. read more

This review is solely for the rubbish 'grooming salon'. Been bringing my 2 saint Bernard's here since this place opened and the only issue ever was my Addisonian boy slipping on the slippery epoxy floors. Well let me tell you about this time. Andrew is an absolute garbage 'bather'. He was the only bather that was scheduled to deal with my dogs that day and after two hours he called me saying that they were done I have never met anybody that can get to Saint Bernards fully bathed and dried within two hours he tells me that they are slightly damp. We get there and then we are greeted by yet another garbage employee by the name of Jessica who claims she's a manager who told us that we were no longer welcome there because my dogs are on able to stand. My dogs have never been unable to stand for anything my guess is that they didn't think to get anything dry underneath them so that they physically could without slipping on the epoxy floor. They end up bringing out my boy he was soaking wet all four legs and feet his tail his entire chest and belly as well as his head or sopping wet and as I stated my displeasure I was greeted with a I don't give a damn attitude from the employees there. Then they bring out my girl who is in the same condition unfortunately I was forced to pay despite the fact they did not even complete the service because they wouldn't release my dogs to me unless I paid. When my husband and I got the dogs home finally we have to finish the job ourselves we ended up finishing drying them without any issues as well as trying to get all the mats resulted from them being left soaking wet out. Our hands came way totally filthy I'm 99% positive but did not even bathe my dogs. As I said I've come here MANY times and never had an issue so I'm guessing the garbage excuse for staff made a difference. My dogs may be lazy and not want to stand for 4+ hours but it has NEVER been an issue. Apparently my dogs loafed like cats and sat on all 4 legs, their tails, and their heads based on what was sopping wet. Spoke to the GM and got the same apathetic response mostly. Very disappointed. Run far away. Customer service sucks, their 'love the look guarantee is BS, the managers and employees are entitled sorry excuses of whiny millennials who don't know what they're doing in their positions read more

Dec we brought our 2 pups here for about the 3rd time we used to use another groomer but she quit, so we tried a new groomer THE GROOMING MANAGER, this is what we found on our 12 year old Annie, she is adopted we have had her since March 2018, she was in bad condition when we picked her up from Devore Shelter, this is now just another traumatic experience for her. I called and complained, the Genreal Manager called me apologizing saying in 20 years he has NEVER seen anything like this & Jordan loves animals, I get that, he offered me a refund & I invited me back, why would I go back, she never called to apologize, I feel terrible for Annie. Today was the first time Annie was in the car with us to go to another groomer & she was scared jumping on me in the car etc, this had been the first time since she was in the car since petsmart. I understand with COVID, A LOT of businesses are struggling and are doing the best they can. I greatly appreciate the workers that continue to work to help serve our pets, thank you. But I was unpleasant with the service I got today. I came in at 6:30pm to purchase a 55 gallon fish tank. They close at 7:00pm. I ask one of the workers to help me load it into the cart. The worker that was helping me was helping people before me and she kept complaining about how "she's so over this day" which is really unprofessional. I think she was a new worker and I understand the first day or week of starting a job. So she then goes to help me and I ask her if I can have someone help me lift the tank into the cart. She asks me if I have someone to help me and I said no unfortunately. She tells me that she needs someone else to help. So there was another worker at the aquarium to help and I asked the lady that was kind enough to help me, if the other worker could help us. She goes to ask the other worker and comes back and tells me she said "no, she can't help because she is going to be off". Like excuse me???? There was 10 minutes before the store closed and no one could help me? I'm sorry but if I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is so unprofessional and a little bit disrespectful. I generally avoid these large pet retailers for my fish but they had a nice selection for the 40 gal breeders tank i just set up. A good place to start your kids with an aquarium. read more

Great grooming and nail services be careful who you get make sure your dog is comfortable with the groomers before you let them take your pet in the back and you leave. It took my little guy a bit of time to know her. And he loves her. They do have a groomer that is less than desirable you might be fine with her , she lacked in people skills and pet skills.
