My complaint - Petsmart San Bernardino store. I made a purchase on 8-18-23 and returned merchandise the same day 8-18-23. When I got to the store I told the cashier that I wanted cash back - she rudely replied just put your debit card in and you'll get a refund. Terrible customer service! I still haven't received my refund and my bank said it's the Merchant Petsmart that has to release the funds. I spoke with corporate and was given a different answer that the policy for debit card refund is if you have the receipt-cashier should give back refund in cash which I wasn't given that option according to Petsmart's policy. This whole situation has caused me great distress mentally and physically! Buyer be ware! Do not shop at Petsmart in San Bernardino - you get rude cashiers/customer service! The manager didn't do anything to rectify my refund and make me a satisfied customer. As the saying goes, " The customer is always right". Unfortunately - not in my case. read more

Took my fur baby to groomers today first time with this groomer , normally I take her with the same one but she wasn't in today , very upset with the visit , she looks great but her paw pad is split open , would have liked to at least be notified that this incident had occurred , when I told other staff they apologized, after the groomers called and just denied that she did anything to her paws says she didn't even see her pads which make no sense , if she claims she had done "nail trim " she would have seen her pads, she just denied the incident instead of owning up to her mistakes not taking her back to that groomers again . read more

This review does not reflect the Banfield within petsmart. Banfield was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Sadly the petsmart itself was not. I asked for help so a Banfield employee paged them for help. I waited 5-10 minutes and nothing. I went to the front and asked for help and she paged everyone for help in dog food. I waited another 5 minutes and nothing. As I leave, I see 2 employees in the front talking with the security guard. Never buying from that petsmart. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

We buy our pet food from Petsmart. As far as other supplies, we can find them for much less money, online. They used to have a good selection of treats but, they no longer carry the ones our dog likes. We enjoy being able to take our dog into the store with us but, the last couple of times, other dogs in the store were not well-behaved so it was not a good experience. read more

I usually enjoy shopping here, until I saw that they are allowing a so called rescue group to SELL, not adopt, puppies in their store. $750+ for these so called rescues. They're all puppies, not spayed and neutered yet either!! When we asked why the "adoption fee" was so high, they said "because they're purebred" how do you have so many "purebred" RESCUES!! Not a single older dog, all puppies. Probably some backyard breeder supplying this "rescue". This is an absolute DISGRACE to your company petsmart!! How can you stand for rescues and ask for charity donations when you allow puppies to be SOLD in your store. Sickening. read more

So, I called this location to get the cups glued to my kitty's claws to keep her from damaging furniture. They demanded that I get my cat rabies vaccinated first. 1. You don't vaccinate cats against rabies. It's not necessary. Maybe call animal control and educate yourself. 2. The solution was needed today, not next week. 3. Telling me that it is YOUR policy, doesn't mean it's mine. I don't work for you, you work for ME. 4. You can get huffy all you want, I'll just go elsewhere! 5. In this covid 19 world, your job is not secure. Customer service is quite necessary, yours is absent. A fight with the store manager and his crony Lisa went no better after asking 19 times for the corporate number. I adopted my corgi, Wesley, in January 2013 and we started classes with Marcus in February. It's now October and we're still super happy customers! Wesley LOVES training with Marcus. There's structure, fun, and Wesley's favorite, treats! If you have a new puppy, I recommend getting the $20 puppy starter kit, there's a ton of coupons and a free puppy training orientation. I'm so glad we went! On top of Marcus being an awesome trainer (I watched a class at Petsmart and also watched a class at Petco in Redlands before signing up for classes - Marcus was head and shoulders more in-tune with the dogs and friendly to me as a "pet parent" in comparison to the other option) the store itself is great, easy returns ask lots of selection. I spend a small fortune here between by cat and dog, but everyone is always nice and say hello to Wesley and offer to help me when I'm trying to carry too much stuff to check out. Adriana in grooming does a great job too! Wesley loves her and they're great at what they do. Haha just thought since I spend basically every Sunday morning here I should write a review - Wesley is in Advanced II training now! That's 4 levels! I have been getting my dogs groomed here for nearly 7 years, and you know what they're great. I had an appointment canceled here due to my groomer having an emergency, so I had to take him to another Petsmart location, and boy did they make me realize how great this location is.... the other location is full of rude young people, I'm glad for the experience though, as it really made me appreciate this location a lot more than I did. Grooming center is trash second time i have an issue with them, they have a sign 1 dog family at a time and apparently if you wait for the room to be empty and it makes you late to your appointment they cancel it even tho it was their fault and youre following their directions. This review is for the grooming department. I just picked up my dog about an hour ago and I'm very pleased with his haircut. Haylee not only did a great job, she was also very professional. Especially since my dog didn't want to walk on a leash since he was nervous. She just carried him in. I also like that I was able to use the curbside drop off and pick up for him. I was even able to pay online. So there was no need to go inside. We'll definitely be back, thank you! read more

I've been taking my dog Malcolm to pets mart for 6 plus years he is a good dog never had any complaints about him he's in good health. I booked an appointment online for a bath and brush I was called an hour prior to be told he was too old for them to take him. Wow thanks for taking my money all these years. Friday 06/29/2018 was the worse service I had ever had OMFG!! I started this on Fri but stopped so I was cooled dwn on this issue before writing my rebiew. I order my cats litter and food and treats online at pet smart with my chronic back problems and legs hurting so bad hurts to walk to much so all I have to do is walk in give my name they bring it out I sign and they load it up for me in the car and I'm done. Been doing this for almost a year. 1. I go give them my name the lady says ok I'll be back with your order. I said ok I need go see something real fast. ( brush for my long haired cat) his fur is out of control. I get back up to the register to get my things and realized they didn't have my cat liter. She goes looks where they put pols order for pick up and it's not there so comes back says I guess got to go back get it. Starts walking away stops turns says what brand is it I said fresh step 42 lbs she turns and heads off then about 4 min later calls another clerk up front to ask them which one was it I said fresh step the cashier says no is it multicat or one of the others I said multi-cat. So while waiting I noticed a cart with cat food says canned .050 treats $1.00 dry cat food $5.00 Cat food for 0.50 good deal there so I grab what was 10.00 worth 20 cans before taxes. 2. They ring that up its way more I'm like those are 0.50 a can it's showing it cost more. So I get another cashier ask them ck the receipt out cause it's not right that cashier goes to where I showed her I got them from and then starts with this one is a 1.29 by his one is 0.69 and just different prices she kept reading off. I said it says .50 right here she is like oh no right here on box states 1.29 I said where she points it was unreadable unless UR on top of the box it was so light and then a can with a paper wrapped around it says .49 only that one can said .49 I took pics of the set up. If it says .50 cat food no matter what should be .50 the customer service is in need of serious improvement big time. I've never had such bad customer service and making me feel like I was dumb and the wait of about an HR plus when I should spent no more then 10 to 20 min in there now it's making me really think about shopping there anymore. Today we went in looking for things for our pet turtles and we cannot get over a store employer by the name of Chase. He was so knowledgeable when it came down to turtles and what they needed. We had gone to several pet stores but he was the one that took the time to explain everything to us. He explained about different filters and tank sizing since i was alittle confused. We left very satisfied with his excellent customer service and our turtles are loving there tank and decorative cascade filter!! Thank you Chase!! read more

Elizabeth is a horrible groomer. My dog, the friendliest dog around, was deemed aggressive because she approached him head on like she was going to get him and he growled. She didn't try at all to be nice to him and to top it off she was just rude. Oh and she also made me wait until exactly my appointment time to go inside. I arrived early thinking ok give them time to check him in and get things going and Elizabeth only said nope I don't want your dog until the appointment time. read more

Beware of the elderly guy name Larry that works near the fish hes very rude and disrespectful when it comes to people that are not his race he wont allow you to get a fish or turtle if he does not like you personally off of how you look he's always grumpy and in need of a happy ending he has a manager named Susan who has no say so over him or how he treats different races Susan comes into the picture with a nervous attitude and zero direction on how to be a manager and was no help at all when it came to being discriminated against by her employees she ask a young cashier by the name of Alexis to help out because the manager is Susan is so nervous due to the situation and does not know how to talk with a customer who is having a problem with discrimination and simple customer service Susan does not have what so ever they must have been desperate for a manager to hire Susan and Alexis does not even know how to handle customer service unless she is scanning a barcode on a product so now we have Susan's manager who comes in with no name no introduction and looks at me as if I am causing a problem by even having the thought to complain it's very sad that we still have to live with Discrimination here at Petsmart from the bottom of the ladder to the top read more

Totally unsatisfied with the San Bernardino location. Dropped off my dog with Alexis and I specifically told her not to cut anything off the top . She was gonna try a full haircut not a trim if my puppy was tolerating the cut . Usually about 3 hours for trim and top Dawg . She kept my puppy for almost 5 hours . My puppy was bald on the top . Her nails were not cut around her eyes or sanitary or anything but what I told her not to . Than tried to charge me a full haircut price and she looked more horrible than when I dropped her off . The manager Jennifer was absolutely no help because,she didn't want to be helpful. We purchased an item at the prompting of her associate and was not what we needed. We were allowed to return the item but, several days passing we still do not have our funds returned to our card. PetSmart has the merchandise and our money. The manager refused to rectify the situation and had the audacity to be irritated with me for wanting her to do so. This store basically Stole My Money and kept the merchandise. As much as I hate to think that this was a racial incident, it does seem that way to me. if I were not a person of color, I would have been treated differently. never ever shopping there again. Marcus is the most awesome dog trainer ever; he transformed my wild little Panda from a barking, uncontrollable nightmare to a manageable and well behaved dream. Well, most of the time anyway! We first took Panda to a puppy class at the Petsmart off Day St. in Moreno Valley and the trainer there was pretty much useless. Panda's problem from day 1 had been persistent barking when introduced to other dogs, and the trainer there did nothing to correct his behavior. In fact, she allowed him to bark through the entire 1 hour...erm, excuse me, she actually dismissed the class at the 40min mark...and her attempts at control were first a choke collar (on a frightened 4lb. 5 month old puppy) and then a muzzle. I really hated her. When I brought Panda to Marcus, I truly believed that the problem was with my dog and not the miserable failure of the trainer. Within 30 seconds, Marcus had Panda under control and obeying commands. It was unreal. That was months ago and Panda's progress is exceptional. Of course, he still gets in small fits of behavioral regression but it's because we chose not to get him neutered and he's a feisty little thing to begin with! Seriously, the best trainer around. Even if all the other Petsmarts had awful trainers, give Marcus a try! read more

I stopped in on 11/09/2015 for a bottle of water conditioner. After selecting my item I just had to see the new fish area. As I approached the Koi tanks I was struck by their appearance. There were two tanks of fingerlings and both were clearly very ill. Those poor fish looked like a pond keepers nightmare. I observed Dropsy in several fish. I observed Exophthalmia ( pop-eye), in most of the fish. I observed severe bacterial and parasitic infections. Keeping animals in such poor health is gross. Please look at any live creatures you plan to buy from this outfit very, very carefully. read more

Pet grooming staff is rude and mean to kids who don't want kids to look in the window when they are grooming the the pets .I saw the girl make a face when a little boy walked was walking up to the window. Marcus is a great trainer. He trains the people so well that their dogs are able to learn very easily. Seriously Marcus has a way with people and their dogs. He is willing to go the extra mile of working with you one on one when necessary. He makes learning fun for both the owners and their pets. We are taking our second class with him now and can't wait for the third. If you are thinking about training your pooch I would seriously recommend Marcus. read more

My experience here was bitter sweet. Here is why: A worker named Pam i believe, was extremely helpful and genuine in helping me find a reasonably priced training treat for my new golden retriever puppy. A nice smile and kindness always goes a long way for me. So thank you Pam :) However, this happy experience was short lived once i went to the register. Along with purchasing training treats I also had a clicker to purchase. The cashier asked me if i had any clue how to use it but the way she asked was as if I was completely incompetent of using this training tool..... after responding its purpose, she quickly replied "...this is your first time training? ::raises eyebrow:: well you should ask me or the other guy to train your dog" This really pissed me off. After the awkward transaction I say thank you.... she didn't say a damn word and sort of threw the bag at me. the audacity! You know, I was initially looking into Petsmart to train my new pup but I've read so many horrible reviews [via google/yahoo] and after having this experience with the 'cashier/trainer' I wouldn't recommend being around this type of attitude. read more

This review is for Marcus, for Training classes. We have taken two classes with Marcus and can't wait to take a third! He knew exactly how to help our girl learn her manners and was always extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Once Lilly got her excitement down, she quickly surpassed others in class so Marcus would give us other, more advanced exercises to do to keep her working. She learned SO much from him, and so did we! Anytime we were in the store we would try to find him, and if he wasn't in a class, we'd always at least say hi. He would always ask how Lilly was doing and give us a few pointers if we were having trouble with anything new. He's an amazing trainer and an even better person. We LOVE Marcus! We were referred to Petsmart and specifically to Marcus for Obedience training for our 2 Australian Cattle dogs (5yr old and 6mos old) from my cousin who was currently training her new puppy at the time. His knowledge and demeanor with the dogs is just astounding. He really helped us learn how to train ourselves and our brains properly so that we could better train our dogs. Let me tell you, our 6 mos old used to be the screamer as we walked in to every class. But by the time we walked in to take our Canine Good Citizen test, they were passing with flying colors and received their certificates. Both Starsky and Bailey Hutch love(d) Marcus, and even my chihuahua responded well when he would visit the class while his big bro and sis were training. We even referred another friend of ours to Marcus for training their new Vizsla puppy Murphy. Thanks Marcus, you're the best! read more

My dog is the sweetest thing in the world. She absolutely hates getting her nails trimmed though. She morphs into a stressed out crazy and her eyes turn all red and she gets foamy. Not pretty. We brought her in and the ladies at the grooming salon were so sweet. They didn't have her records but they tried to call multiple places to find her rabies vaccination info instead of sending us away. They were able to calm her enough to get her nails trimmed nicely and did it so quickly that when they overhead paged us to come back I was sure they hadn't been able to do it. This is the third time now that this salon has been able to clip her when two other places have sent us away. Dog whisperers. We'll be back! :) read more

Lately, customer service in this store is sorely lacking. I needed help with finding my regular cat food. They had completely re-arranged the cat food section and I could not find it. After waiting about 20 mins for help, I went to the front of the store and they told me that they stopped carrying my brand. Silly me for not calling ahead and asking if they carried something they have had on their shelves for over three years. Never again. I'm finding a new pet food outlet. The grooming staff is really great, but the instore staff is horrible and corporates idea of not carrying a food is going to hurt them. read more

Just a review about the grooming center. Made a call to find out availability for grooming. After getting a few possible times, I said that I would call back to confirm a time with them. The lady said "ok" and hung up. How rude is that... I had a few bad experiences with their grooming on my first pet before - uneven cuts, nails not filed smoothly, etc. and only because I have a coupon, I'm considering a bath for my second pet.
