Marcus is an excellent trainer! He is very knowledgable, gives tips that WORK and is super patient with dogs and doggie parents. This is a typical PetSmart. Huge dogs walking around, lots of cats on sale, pretty expensive, and busy. My visit here was pretty quick.

I've been going to the grooming salon for over 10 years. I find it kind of funny that some of the negative reviews even exist, let's face it you can't please everyone! But I felt it was time to leave a review because I turn to yelp for almost everything- when it comes to going to new places & so on. So Brenda has been my main groomer this whole time & every time I bring my dog in- she comes out a brand new woman!! Went to get my dogs nails done and I told them that he doesn't like it but he will whine and snap but he doesn't ever bite or hasn't ever bitten anyone 10 minutes later I walk around the corner and they are standing there with him at the clinic because he fell off the table how and why I do not know and they said they wouldn't get his nails clipped because he tried to bite her and they couldn't work with him but they let him drop of the table. I've been bring my miniature schnauzer here since he was 4 months old...he's 5 years old now. Cynthia has been his groomer since day one. She does magic with him, he's a happy, territorial dog with us and won't let us brush him but for her he's a baby and so well behaved. He always comes back so proud of how gorgeous he looks. We brought both of our put bull/ lab mixes here for beginning and intermediate training (we live in Riverside, but we heard so many good reviews about Marcus Meade that we decided to drive here...) He is a really great trainer. He has a passion for animals and it shows. He was dedicated to teaching our animals and would help with any other various issues you were having with your animals. We were going to go on to advanced training with him but he moved to Hawaii a month ago :( My dogs and I miss him very much!! The other trainer Courtney (I think was her name?) subbed for Marcus a few times and she is very kind and works very well with the animals as well, so I would recommend her if you come here for training. This is the SECOND time we have attempted services at this chain...First, they need to remove cat grooming as a service. False advertising used to be illegal, it should be again. If you don't offer the service you are misrepresenting yourself. Period. We also tried dog training, it was an actual service, but the trainer had not a clue other than offering food....which our overweight fat dog refused. This place is overpriced for dog grooming service... I've used them twice hoping it will be better the second time and nope it was worse than the first. I scheduled a grooming service for my 5 pound Maltese online which quoted me around $47 but when I picked up my dog the cost was $75 and she stated oh that's because she was really matted which is understandable but still pretty pricey. well the second time I take her she's a little matted but not as much as before the lady asks if I want to pay to have her de matted to keep some of her coat and I agree, I go back to pick up my dog and she's shaved bald and her long white ears are cut off my dog was unrecognizable and she charged me $87. I had no problem paying but I couldn't understand why I was charged for a de matting service if all they were going to do was shave her bald. I'm now looking for another grooming place because if I continue to take her here I'll soon be paying $100 for my white Maltese to look like a skinned pink dog!! read more

I am very satisfied with the training my dog has learned with Marcus . He is a great trainer and makes it easy for all to get. I have an English bulldog and he did get snappy but when Marcus saw that he put him in his place really fast. It's amazing how fast my dog learned all his tricks and how well he behaved . Gives me more confident to be around other dogs with him and people. I'm really looking forward to the next classes we purchased with Marcus . I took my puppy to be groomed when he was quite young. They said that he wiggled quite a bit(bad haircut) he is a year old now. (Bad haircut)Petsmart texted me a couple of times wanting me to bring him back to be groomed. At home he gets a bath once a week and brushed ever other day. He is 5lbs which makes small enough to be easy to pick to bathed and brushed. He did need a haircut as his hair grows quite long. He was to not get scalped and have a teddy bear face. He has no hair on top of his head and no cute teddy bear face. He was not matted or tangled. His hair is unevenly cut .on his pawgress report I read after I got home said that he was matted if he was so matted how come you didn't just shave him? Because that is a lie!!! The fish tanks at this Petsmart are filthy. I purchased 2 fish from this store 5 days ago and they have Ichthyophthirius multifilis aka the Ich parasite. The closer Petsmart (Redlands) is where we purchased the medicine for our tank. The associate asked us how our fish contracted it, and after finding out that it was another Petsmart, assured us that if we informed them, they would give us the medicine; after all it was their fish that had passed on the parasites. San Bernardino Petsmart did not help us. What was offered was a discount, and yeah, that is better than nothing, but their lack of care for their fish caused the outbreak. This store is clearly not making sure that their stock is healthy enough to be sold, potentially putting customer's tanks and fish in jeopardy. read more

Absolutely no sense of customer service. Went in and fell in love with an older cat. We were told to come back in one hour because adoptions were out to lunch. We got back at 12:59 so that we could process the adoption of the cat only to find other visitors playing with the cat. We were told there is no "saving" of the cats and were told to leave the store. There was absolutely no sense of customer service on the part of the Ramona Animal Shelter representative. I'm very happy that the cat found a home, but why tell us to come back at 1pm when adoptions open up only to find out that they started adopting them early? Why not tell us it is best to hang out and wait if we really wanted the cat. So frustrated with the poor customer service and complete lack of remorse on the part of the shelter representative. read more

We have been taking our pets to Petsmart groomers for many years with no issues, ever. The groomers have always been compassionate and patient. However, today I took in one of our dogs for bath/haircut. He is older and requires a little more time and detail. Before I even left their service area Erika told me that if he seems stressed that I may have to come back to get him. He always shakes nervously a bit (most dogs do) when we get there. It literally took 30 seconds for me to leave the store to get in my car. Before I start the engine I get a call from the groomer Erika that my dog is too stressed and that I need to come get him. 30 SECONDS! That's all the time they gave him. They said he wasn't walking right and may not stand for the grooming. (So which is it? He's stressed, or he can't stand right for you?) Well, the hair on his paws was long and he slips on hard floors. That's what needed grooming. These new groomers working at this store over the last few months are lazy, and don't want to deal with dogs that need more detailed grooming. The lady who went in before me was told the same thing-that her dog seemed too stressed so they didn't groom that one either. We are never bringing our pets to this store again. read more

I've been taking Lana, my chihuahua Yorkie terrier mix since she was a baby and she still isn't used to getting groomed as she cries when I leave, but when I leave I know she's in the best hands with Erika. Erika honestly cares for Lana and really treats her with kindness. She knows how much Lana means to me and shows the same kindness for Lana. Lana is 3 now and Erika has groomed her ever since she was small. Lana gives her the same grief every time about trimming her paws and yet Erika is still so patient with her. I took my dog for grooming at this location and they cut off my dogs nipples. She rolled over on her belly and I noticed her upper nipples were healing from being shaved from her last grooming with them. I'm appalled and disgusted. They will be hearing from me! How incompetent!! I knew I should have never left her she has been before and based on her reaction to the groomer I should have known my dog was trying to let me know. I thought maybe I was overthinking it as a pet parent and she didn't want to get groomed. I should have gone with my first instinct and cancelled the appt. update- I've had people ask the groomer's name this was Erica. I have had such a horrible experience recently with the grooming salon. I have been taking my dog here for about two to three years now but somehow the grooming salon found out my dogs health records from the vet inside the building (Banfield) even though my vet does not disclose that information. They then told me my dog now had to have express grooming for an extra charge due to her health records which I wasn't very happy about to begin with. So I then call to make an express grooming appointment (as I was told to do) and then was told they don't do express grooming on the weekends. I have a full time job so how am I supposed to take my dog in on a weekday? They keep telling me "it's corporate policy" but that's pretty bad corporate policy if I now have to take my dog elsewhere due to me having a full time job. read more

Hi everyone this should have been an update a review I don't know where my last review went but I've got to say this if you've ever been to this petsmart you'll know what I'm talking about and if you haven't please stop by and try this place out for your self and your pet I promise you you won't regret it I adopted a beautiful pup for my son and with saying that she didn't have her shots she didn't even have a plan she didn't have insurance at first I didn't know what to do I literally went to Petsmart's just trying to buy her some dog food and this really great employee I wish I remembered her name told me to walk towards the hospital in the back I did and I haven't regretted it since my honey which is the dogs name is now in rolled in the plan and I promise you she is a healthy happy puppy and I thank that to PetSmart they were able to get her shots even told us how to take care of her how to be cautious what to feed her and even get her on a great diet we were able to get all her shots now she's fully up-to-date and today she just got neutered by the best to be honest with you I don't want to call anyone specifically out that works here only because they are all great every cashier every receptionist and every vet and every vet assistant I'd like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts from the Garcia family to you honey is incredibly thankful And so are we ...we look forward to our future thank you banfield pet hospital read more

I will never visit this store again. On Saturday 12/4/2021 I booked a bath & brush by ALEXIS M. for my American Staffordshire terrier at their grooming salon through Petsmart.com. Upon arrival (even arriving 5 mins early to allow time for vaccine records to be updated and paperwork signed) another couple bringing their pet in was visually upset by Alexis's service and even a manager was present. I was greeted by Alexis by a very stern & unfriendly "can I help you?" I proceeded by telling her what I was there for and what time my pet's appt was at. She was upset and said "i don't know how I got booked for another appt I don't think I can do him today" ("him" being my pet). The worker behind her then chimed in and said "I can help you!" Alexis then said "ugh okay then". Proceeded to take my dog's harness & leash off very rough and slipping a lead on him. I said goodbye to my dog and watched Alexis very hurriedly and almost in a dragging manner walk my dog into a room I cannot see. I went out to my car feeling very worried and like something was not right about this situation and maybe I should stick around for a bit. Sure enough, NOT EVEN 5 minutes later I get a very RUDE call stating she cannot groom my dog today because he was acting very anxious and didn't want to go in the kennel?? First of all, if it's the last appt you're taking & there are no other dogs being serviced WHY is my dog being kenneled and not straight into the bathtub if you're in such a rush to get off?? Second of all, my dog has been to the Petsmart grooming salon at the Redlands location 2-3 other times when it is rush hour with many other people and pets around and I have NEVER received a call about anxiety or other behavior issues. She simply did not want to groom my dog maybe because of his breed? Maybe she was just lazy? Did the clients before me ruin her night? Whatever the case was, it did not need to be taken out on me or my pet. If there shouldn't have been another appt booked that day Petsmart needs to fix their website because that is not the customers fault either. Hopefully she had a better night and treated the next clients a little better. read more

We called asking if they had hamsters. Asia picked up and asked a lady next to her (we could hear the conversation) and the lady in the background named all kinds of hamsters they supposedly had in stock. Fifteen minutes later we arrive in store and a nice man showed us the cages and all of them had been sold. We got some dog stuff and guess who was our cashier? Asia. She also seemed to have no recollection of the hamster conversation. Your job isn't that hard. Go visually check the hamster cages! Poor customer service wasting people's time. read more
