We only stay places about 4 weeks and if we don't call ahead of our next stop, most places are full and not taking any more dogs. We most often have to resort to PetSmart or Petco and we pay the same amount of money or more and the cut is never as good as the local groomers. We want to shop and spend our money with local businesses but its hard when you're not regular customer. Thankfully, we were able to jump into a spot with about 2 weeks out notice and that worked for us. What worked for us: ------------------------------------- They had a spot for us! They offered a full grooming service with nails, teeth, ears, etc.. They agreed to not 'treat' Charlie while grooming him. (he has a very sensitive stomach) They asked questions about what we wanted and confirmed the cut we were looking for (we showed the last PetSmart groomer 6 photos and told him exactly what we wanted and they still shaved off our Charlie's eyebrows???) They could do a Schnauzer cut (mostly the Schnauzer head is what we're looking for) They about 90 minute (most of the PetCo/Smart places require 3-4 hours???) They were easy to locate They had parking for our big truck (we have an F450 Dually) What did not work: ----------------------------------- Can't think of anything. Warning.... Do not take your dog to All Fur Love for grooming in Washington!! I scheduled an…read moreappointment for a hair and nail trim for my small Pomeranian Chihuahua. Today when I showed up I explained I wanted her hair shaped and trimmed and nails done. 2 hours later they called me and said she was ready. When I showed up they had a bandana tied around her neck covering the front. Which I thought was weird because they never have done that before. But my dog seemed happy and I paid for the service and left. When I got home I took off the bandana and noticed they shaved a patch of hair off of her neck and there is a huge chunk of hair missing down to the skin. I immediately knew why they put the bandana on her to cover up their mistake. I called All Fur Love and asked to talk to the groomer. I explained what I found and told her I was very disappointed that they weren't honest with me when I picked her up. They tried to hide it and covered it up without saying anything. The groomer denied making any mistake or trying to cover it up and claimed the dogs hair was like that when she got there! Are you kidding me? It most definitely wasn't. I told her I don't appreciate being lied to and expected a full refund and to talk to the owner. She then claimed to be the owner and refused to admit any wrongdoing. They did eventually refund me for the cost of the appointment, but I am so disappointed in how they handled this! If they were honest when I showed up and said that there was an accident and showed me the damage, I would have been understanding. But to lie and say her hair was like that when she came is just dishonest and shameful. I will not be going back to this business and either should you!

No apology, no accountability, just pure negligence. Since they refuse to acknowledge their incompetence, I have only this to say: I hope they stub their toe. I hope that, as they walk out of the shower, they step directly on a LEGO. And when they finally go to sleep, exhausted from a long day of ruining people's pets, I hope both sides of their pillow are warm. Do yourself a favor: stay far away from this place. Clearly, they don't care about animals, customers, or even their own reputation.

My dog sustained a cut on the leg during grooming, which was treated with "vet glue" and a bandage. Initially, it was described as a minor injury that would heal quickly. However, after a week, it became apparent that stitches were necessary. This has resulted in substantial vet expenses. I would not recommend this groomer. Full disclosure: My dog was matted before being groomed which I was clear about before the groom BUT she has been matted before and we've taken her to several groomers and not once has she been cut, so I'm not accepting that reasoning to be valid.

I interviewed a couple of trainers and decided to give Misty Hamilton with Off Leash K9 Training an opportunity to see what she could do. It was a big decision and letting him go for two weeks was initially very hard, BUT I received nightly report cards with video so not only did I visually understand his progress, I didn't feel totally separated from him. I could see he was making progress, but not until the end of the course and his drop off, did I fully understand how successful Misty had been in refocusing my boy. He still has that great goofy personality, but I brought home a well-behaved attentive member of my family. This training program was a godsend.

There are private trainers in the area who are AMAZING and transformed my dog in just 3 days by using kindness and understanding. They also used 2 other dogs to help in the training process. Please, do not leave your fur family with these people.
