HORRIBLE GROOMERS! ARE YOU AWARE DOG GROOMERS ARE NOT LICENSED IN MASSACHUSETTS AND ANYONE CAN GROOM YOUR DOG? My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had TWO out of FOUR unbelievably horrid groomings. 1st so bad I took dog back. Manager couldn't believe how bad scissoring and eagerly took 45 minutes to redo her with next grooming at no charge. Next two groomings were fine. Curiously, those groomers are no longer working at PetSmart. Fourth grooming worse than first. She didn't clip hair between foot pads, cut only very tips off 1/2" toenails, hair sticking out all over. Feet trimmed on only one sides with under growth on other side uncut. Awful brush out. I brushed fistfuls of top and under coat when she returned home. Impossible to inspect grooming quality when dogs are excited to be picked up. Chest not clipped to breast bone or shoulders blended to pattern. I didn't want to put her through another hour of grooming, so I didn't take her back. I paid an extra $20 for shedding control and gave $10 tip prior to fully looking at dog. No shedding difference noted so don't waste your money! I complained after deciding to give them one more try and was told they only have one decent groomer and then the manager wasn't comfortable doing my dog due to my previous dissatisfaction. Was also told my previous appointment was with "in-training" groomer. I am disgusted with myself at even trying to give them another chance. Thought my problem would be resolved by asking for experienced groomer! Obviously, the dogs aren't checked prior to releasing!!! ARE YOU AWARE DOG GROOMERS ARE NOT LICENSED IN MASSACHUSETTS AND ANYONE CAN GROOM YOUR DOG? I worry about the safety of my dog as the groomers seem to come and go on a regular basis with most groomers "in-training". We went to get our Dog Bentley groom, after our other groomer closed and tried others near us. Bentley had a great cut and the next time we brought him, he recognized the groomer and he wasn't skiddish. read more

I needed to get a suitable terrarium to protect the praying mantis which has been living in my garden because she broke a leg and would never have survived the miserable cold, wind and rain we've had for days now. The mantis is also almost ready to lay an eggsac and I'd like to make sure it stays safe to hatch so I can release the babies back out to the garden in spring. The employee who offered her assistance kind of freaked out on me and condescendingly told me it was illegal to "keep" them because they're endangered so I should check the law in Massachusetts first. Let that sink in for a minute. For the sake of argument, let's pretend that's really a thing. Shouldn't saving her so she would be be able to successfully increase their population be a *good* thing? I know how to handle her properly and would never harm her. Except it's not a thing - it's totally a myth. In fact, they are so populous the they are the state insect of 2 states! And they're great caretakers of gardens. This is basic stuff. At least look it up before presenting it as fact. Or demanding I look it up before selling a plastic terrarium to me. through all of this they still have great customer service the managers start an hour or two before the stores due to be open to make sure everything is all up and running properly cleaned excetera clean for your safety. They wear masks gloves Etc to make sure that everyone is safe not just you and your pet but also their employees. I know in some cases at some of the store hours have changed and hopefully people will realize that when they come to the store and understand why it's not open at 9 in the morning on a Sunday or any days is not open usual hours. Please try to remember them as well as others are on reduced hours for reduce employee for the job because some people are sick or some people are unable to come in because people they live with or having issues but always remember that they are here for you and your pets first. They have everything in the store that you need they just do not have pet grooming services as far as I know. But they are a great bunch of people in there I go quite often and they're very understanding and I've always been able to find everything I wanted even during this time. if they can't they do have trucks coming in and it might be on the next truck but please don't get mad and yell at them or be upset with them if you don't have your product in the store at that time. The Swansea store is probably one of my favorite PetSmarts I've always been pleased with all the service and taking care of my animals. Came for a Walk-In grooming appointment, which you can't schedule at all, and the grooming people aren't there because they're a small salon and it's their day off, that's totally fine. Then we get told to go to the one in Fall River because their spa is "open until 8 or 9", great! A solution. That is until we drive all the way there with the dog and again no one is at the spa. Another great feeling when the answer is 'oh, they just left a minute ago!'. Never wasted so much time and energy bringing the dog out for nothing. Assumed since they were so confident saying Fall River's salon is open until 8 or 9 that they would have called if they weren't positive people were there. Great to know the salon doesn't have proper hours either. Poor thing isn't good with other dogs either, so it isn't very fun bringing her to two different stores. read more

Found the store very clean and the employees very helpful. I needed to make an exchange and got what i needed without a hassle.

cashier was rude and not helpful whatsoever, stereotyped me and a friend and asked us how old we were when we were interested in buying a fish. instead of asking us if we were interested in buying the correct supplies she asked what i had and i only had a 10 gallon and then proceeded to say i couldn't get anything besides a beta. read more

I went to this location on my lunch break and was treated very poorly. I bought stuff at the Raynham location where the service was wonderful because i live near that one, but I went to return it in swansea because I work near this location I was turned away and refused any service. The girl told me it was to much money and it wasnt even a cash purchase I had to return it to the store where I bought it because she didn't feel comfortable like I stole it or something and was trying to play a fast one! she was very rude I asked for customer services number because it doesn't say anywhere on the receipt or online that it had to be returned to the specific location it was bought from she told me I had to look the number up myself.....even while on the phone with customer service who told me they have to take the return they refused and told me there was no manager around to help me. The customer service representative even told to the employee herself over the phone that it was policy. The shift leader said to the customer service representative I thought you'd back me up on this!? Back you up on what???? I'm not doing anything wrong just retuning unused unopened merchandise that was bought in the last 8hrs. I bought stuff I thought I needed and got home to find out my mom had some she didn't need.... I was also was refused a store managers name and number as well as their district managers information. Oh I was also asked to move out of line for paying customers at that time the employee with an annoyed look tossed my products into a bag and gave me my bag with and attitude excuse me I am a customer!!
