If you want to throw money away for a grooming service a fourth grader could've done better, this is your place! I wanted a bath, nail trimming and grinding service on my five month old puppy. I come back to pick up a slightly damp dog with nails that were hardly cut and not grinded. I was told "your dog didn't like the sound of the blow dryer, so they didn't really have the chance to finish that" and "your dog was scared of the grinder, so we only cut them, and may have nicked one of the nails, but it wasn't too bad." The whole reason I went somewhere "professional" was so these things would be completed, that's what I was planning to pay for. Go literally anywhere else :) read more

Purchased a betta fish for 5 year old daughter with all the bells and whistles recommended by staff, tank, filter, water conditioner, gravel, live plants, food etc. $90.00 and 6 hours later and the fish was dead, despite following all the directions. We took it back and got a replacement free of charge. It was dead again within 4 hours. We brought water in for staff to test and were told it should have been fine. Two employees acknowledged that they get betta fish returns all the time. I'm starting to believe they get bad batches that are sickly or already ill. Most of the ones on the shelf seemed lethargic and motionless. I asked an employee if I could purchase a few goldfish for 29 cents each. She asked what size tank i had to which i said a 5 gallon. She stated goldfish need a 20 gallon tank because they can live 15 years and grow larger. I informed her that we hoped they would live a week or so, then she said "sorry we can't sell them to you". I reminded her people buy live goldfish to feed other fish, in fact that's what the entire species is for and why they are listed for 29 cents. She began to ramble on about how majestic they are. We left empty handed and have a tank set up valued at about $80, also empty. Then I had to explain to my 5 year old why they wouldn't sell us a fish. It's their right to refuse business, i cant really fault them for that. Here's my issue; they wanted me to have a 20 gallon tank valued at about $100 for a 30 cent goldfish, yet they have about 200 goldfish swimming around a 20 gallon tank, even with carcasses sank at the bottom of it due to overcrowding. Who's to say how much space 1 goldfish needs? What's the consensus? And who are they to tell me such things when they have betta fish sitting in a single cup of water? Seems a little contradictory. We've been in Petsmart 3 times in 48 hours, what a waste. #avoid read more

Totally blind male, Kevin, & his elderly wife, Barbara, chose this store to trim Pepper, our 18-month-old dog's nails yesterday, December 22nd. Daily she takes Kevin across the street and they retrieve mail. He also has trained her for things such as come, stay, heal, etc. We had never taken her to this store to have her nails trimmed. The "clipping" area was told she was nervous and high strung. They didn't need us, they said, to help with nail trimming. When ready to leave we were told in no uncertain terms what a horrible dog we had. She had even wet their floor! It was the worst experience we've had with any of our dogs over the years. read more

First off I want to say that I like that this store is close to home and the staff is always very nice and helpful. What I really hate is how long it takes to get help, like today. I went there to get 6 cans of cat food and some fish and it took a half hour too long and my husband got pissed because of how long it took to get a small list of stuff. If this store had a better staff, especially people helping out more in the fish department things would move a lot faster. read more

Dog training with Mike was miserable. He didn't like the breed of dog I have and commented on it every chance he got both privately to me and in class. Final straw he was talking smack about my dog to an employee before the last class and I overheard them. The constant threats of not passing your dog up until the final test. Today he got groomed by Julia who said he did a great job (which is personally hard to believe) and afterwards he seemed like his normal self. We made a pet grooming appointment for our labradoodle. He is the size and has the hair of a standard poodle. The groomer couldn't groom him because she couldn't "see his skin and he had scabs on his skin". Interesting. He was at the vet yesterday. Had no scabs or other problems. He is brushed daily. Granted, his hair was a bit longer than usual, but has never been a problem for a groomer who knows what they are doing. Very unprofessional. read more

I just went down the rabbit hole of reading all of these bad experiences. I was shocked to see so many 1 stars since I have only had 5 star experiences here. I'm greeted every single time I walk in, have been offered coupons when we fostered a liter of pups and were in there all the time and have bought fish here. Our Pomeranian was groomed here for 2 years and it was always a fine experience, his cut looked great and the staff was amazing. I don't have any experience at Banfield so can't comment about that. If I could give the grooming salon a 0 Star I would! Took my toy poodle in to be groomed and fours hours later I pick him up when they were finished. I go over the report card with a different associate that did not groom my dog however, everything was on a positive note. I get home 30 minutes later and notice my dogs testicles appear to be red. So I take a closer look and come to find that his testicles aren't just red they are bleeding from what appears to be a small but deep cut from the clippers!! So I call them up and ask to speak to the manager, I explain the situation. She puts me on hold to speak with the groomer named Nicole to figure out what happened. The manager comes back and says Nicole didn't notice anything unusual. So she offered to have my dog seen by the banfield vet (which I gracefully declined due to past issues with them) and asked me to send pictures of his injury as if I was making up the story and says she will call me back immediately after receiving them. I said sure no problem. An hour and a half later I get a voicemail from the manager saying she is still looking into the incident and in the meantime I can have my dog seen at banfield. It's been a week and I haven't heard from anyone! No apologies, no admitting to a mistake, no refund, NOTHING!! Now I'm out $60, my time, and most importantly I now know why my baby was acting strange when I picked him up! Honestly I should've known better from my past experiences with banfield that PetSmart groomers wouldn't be any different. The Grooming service is the worst to say the least. A basic 10:30AM Grooming was done after 3:00PM. Unfriendly service. After 4 hours of wait I went there to check, service was not done. Megan who supposedly did the service told me that she will notify me when it is done. She simply handed over the paper work after 5 hour of delays, no apologies at all. And I haven't received either phone call or text but email when job done. They wasted my entire day for basic grooming service. Scheduled our cat for grooming. Appointment was at 10am, and of course because of COVID--it is drop off only. We waited for 3 hours before calling to check back and they informed us our cat was not cooperating and they wouldn't be able to groom him. Complete waste and disrespectful of our time. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO THIS BANFIELD VET! This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Today, my dog cut her leg out playing in the yard. I clearly knew it would need stitches because it was gashed and gaping open. I rushed her to this Banfield, my primary Banfield vet, and I was completely shocked at the way I was treated. I have been to this location several times and I am a member of the wellness plan. The lady working the front desk (bad fake eyelashes and huge round glasses) told me that they did not have time to see my dog because they were booked and I should have called. I acknowledged this, however, there is a sign on their wall clearly stating "For all emergency visits, you will be seen first" (or something along those lines). All I needed was a vet tech, vet, anyone to come peek at my dogs leg to let me know if it would indeed need stitches or just a band aid, etc. This lady would NOT HELP ME what so ever besides constantly turning me away with her bitch attitude saying, "we don't have time". I asked to speak to the manager. She comes out and let me tell you- WORTHLESS!!! This was the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. She told me that they are too booked to see my dog because her vet hadn't even eaten lunch. (Understandable but aren't vets suppose to save animals lives even if that means skipping a lunch??) Like I said, I needed maybe 5 mins of someone's time to look at my dogs leg. She proceeded to then tell me, "if your dog was dying, then we would have time to see her. But my vet hasn't had a lunch and we are booked". Exact words from this manager!! After arguing with these people, I finally left. I called the Banfield in Broomfield/Thornton (3 miles away). They were all booked as well, but wanted us to come in anyway so they could check on my dog (like any caring vet would do!!) Long story short, my dog ended up needing three stitches, antibiotics, and pain meds. The vet, vet tech, front desk, everyone at this location were WONDERFUL! I cannot say enough kind things about the Banfield In Broomfield/Thornton. They made sure my dog was taken care of regardless of how busy they were. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office over the Banfield at The Orchard and I will take this further, so this does not happen to anyone else! read more

This Petsmart by far defiantly has the friendliest team I've ever seen when entering their store. They are very helpful in helping answer any questions that you need and even helped offer these welcome packages for my two dogs that have not been there before. You save 20% on their next two grooms and get a goody bag full of toys and treats!!!! They also follow covid guidelines to ensure everyone's safety (which i know we are all over the covid stuff) , but they made my first experience a very pleasant one and made me and my pets feel like family. I took my 1 yr old Pitsky here today to get the FURminator bath. It was our first time here and for grooming in general. Thea was our groomer and she was awesome! The WORST ADOPTION experience! Since my last review on FB seems to have been deleted I wanted to post here as well. The full explanation of what happened is really long, but bottom line there was a lot of mishandled situations, some lies (crazy as it sounds), and a lot of back pedaling by management. All that led to one of the worst adoption experiences I've ever had. The situation had nothing to do w the shelter they work with and everything to do w the management and processes that need work. To say the least it left me and my husband shocked and offended. So I adopted elsewhere.... just know, they really have a lot of work to do in facilitating adoptions. And I won't be going back here. And I wouldn't recommend this petsmart for adoptions. Maybe another one...but not this one. The Brighton one seemed good when we went. read more

I had 3 grooming appointments within one month cancelled at the Westminster Petsmart at the Orchard. One appt cancelled with a couple days notice, one when I called in the morning to check on the appt time and was told it was cancelled, and one when I was at the store to drop off my dog without any notice at all. All I heard was there was nothing they could do. I had all my dog's summer baths scheduled in May, and then it's one cancellation after another. I understand that times now are different than last summer, but really...3 cancellations within a month is absolutely ridiculous. We will not be back again. Our business is going to a small non chain groomer where I will continue to tip at least 40%. read more

Don't take your pet to the Banfield Vet here. I found out by taking my dog to another vet that he has an Auto Immune disease, and Banfield missed it every visit. Banfield also is not cheaper than most local vets! Just don't take your pet here. read more

I see that this store has previous bad reviews , but I have had excellent experiences here. It's been twice now that I have spoken to knowledgeable employees that helped me with situations with my super needy pets. Today the Banfield technician helped with with questions about my cat's prescribed diet when our regular vet office was closed. I sincerely appreciated this because as any cat owner would know you don't mess with cats and their UT issues. read more

This review is about the grooming salon. We will never go back again. Our dog has gotten more anxious about grooming with each visit. Last time they asked us to schedule with a different groomer to see if she could help. I went today and there were so many dogs one who was extremely aggressive and barking loudly at every dog going by. They asked me to reschedule as they knew my dog wouldn't do well. I work full time and they never said weekends weren't good for him to come. They only care about getting as many grooms in as possible and not the well being of your dog. Also the loud aggressive dog should have to go somewhere else or be rescheduled. I've been going as it's close and the grooming was ok. Never again. read more

Set an appointment to have our little dog's haircut but when we got there they could not take her because she was on a calming medication from her veterinarian. I don't understand why they couldn't taker when the medication comes from her vet. Please rethink your policies and perhaps adopt a waiver form. read more
