After 15 years, I finally had to break down and buy a new litter box for my cat, I know I could've gone through Amazon or even target but I wanted to upgrade a little bit more and I also like supporting the stores that are nearby me. They have an entire aisle, dedicated to litter boxes at the store, which was great. There are a lot of varieties to choose from, and I ultimately chose a corner style box. But while I was there, I was able look at the Halloween stuff for pets, including some of their specialty theme toys, which happened to include toys that were inspired by the movie wicked. The really cool thing was several of the different styles were actually on clearance so I was able to get cat toys for three or four dollars that are high-quality. They also had some of their Halloween pet costumes on sale and I was able to pick up a new bowtie collar for him for a measly three dollars. read more

Our puppy needed to be groomed, and luckily PetSmart in winter Garden had the same day availability. We were told her grooming would take approximately two hours, and that we would receive a call once she was done. About an hour after dropping her off, we got the call that she was done. The grooming team was very speedy and efficient! everyone was very friendly, and our puppy came back to us with a cute pink bandanna around her neck. She smelled so good, and her coat looked extremely shiny. Her nails were well trimmed, and the pads of her paws were also manicured. I am extremely upset and disappointed with my experience at PetSmart. I took my cat in on Monday for a grooming appointment. That night, she came home and started breathing strangely. By Tuesday, her symptoms worsened, and by Wednesday I had to rush her to the vet. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, and X-rays showed fluid in her lungs. She is now at home on medication, struggling to breathe and suffering. I went back to the store to speak with the manager, Kristy, to inform her of what happened. Instead of showing concern or empathy, she was condescending, dismissive, and rude. When I explained that pneumonia can occur from aspirating water, she responded with "you're not a doctor," and said that she herself wasn't a doctor either, as if that made my concerns invalid. When I mentioned my aunt is a vet tech, Kristy replied that "anyone can be a vet tech" and that even she could be one. This was extremely disrespectful and inappropriate, especially while my cat was at home barely breathing. We provided the name of the groomer (Vanessa, I believe). Kristy stated that because the groomer has over 8 years of experience, she was "not concerned." She literally said it was not concerning because the groomer wasn't new. Experience does not excuse a pet needing emergency veterinary care. Any animal requiring a vet visit after grooming is concerning, no matter how long someone has been in their role. We also asked to view the camera footage from the grooming appointment. Kristy told us we would need a lawyer and a subpoena in order to see it. However, after contacting PetSmart corporate, we were informed that neither a lawyer nor a subpoena is required for us to view the footage. Kristy clearly did not want to release the footage and provided false information, but we are now in the process of obtaining it through corporate. We bring our pets to PetSmart expecting them to come home safe, healthy, and comfortable -- not sick, suffering, and requiring emergency vet care. The lack of accountability, transparency, compassion, and professionalism shown by management made an already traumatic situation even worse. I strongly caution other pet owners and hope PetSmart seriously addresses how incidents like this are handled, especially by store management. read more

PetSmart employee to the rescue! I wish I had caught his name (working Register 4 on Saturday 12-11-2021 at 4:30 pm) We had ordered dog food from PetSmart online right after Thanksgiving. When we got it, I didn't realize it was bad. It took us about a week before figuring it out (horrible, I know), and I immediately called customer service for help. The best they could do was ship me another bag, but I was having to throw out 3/4 of a 22lb bag...I needed food. So off I went to PetSmart in hopes that the food was actually in stock. It was my lucky day because it was. After explaining the situation to the employee, he said he would be able to do an exchange for me, and then told me to keep the extra bag that is coming from the online replacement! He has no idea how much this meant to me after the insane week I had. Thank you. I come here to get feeder fish all the time & there's NEVER an associate to help. Even when I ask the cashier to call for someone as I'm walking in, I inevitably sit & wait for 10-20 minutes. Also, the "fish ppl" can be a bit extra. I've had one girl in particular refuse to sell me 4 angel fish bc she said that the 75 gal tank we were putting them in wasn't big enough! Meanwhile, we're not dumb fish owners....we have 7 tanks of various size. I've also personally witnessed the store mgr standing around chatting while there's a line the length of the store waiting to check out with ONE cashier open & that summarizes why this store has a crappy review rating....poor leadership & no accountability. I buy the majority of pet items and food online but do occasionally shop at PetsMart. Recently I stopped in to purchase new dog collars for a couple of dogs that I was watching. They have a massive selection of collars for all sizes with a good high/low price range. I like how you can match your collar and leash. They also sell all of the pet cleaning essentials, dog washes, medical needs and everything else that you can think of. I do not use their veterinary services or grooming. I had a bad experience some time back and will never let them off of the mat for it. You can bring your dog shopping with you as long as they play well with others. I keep my head down in the store. It only took one time of walking through pee to wake me up to the possibility. They have cleaning supplies out for little accidents that encourage quick clean ups. read more

Our dog has been seen here several times before. He is an old dog but apparently between three months ago and now he has magically gotten to old for them to consider seeing. They recommended a vet or Mobile groomer. There is NO vet in the area that will provide grooming services. We tried every one that came up when we searched! This is the best grooming experience my dogs and I have ever had! Amber made me feel confident in leaving my dogs alone with the team, making me aware that everything would be easy for me and it was!! I got home from dropping them off and got this awesome email photo update of my girl zoey taking a bath and getting her nails done... when they were all done from spa day I got a call and easily picked them up with no problem! Just moved and needed a new dog groomer. I read some reviews on Yelp and Amber at PetSmart got high praise. I love it when it is actually true! Amber listened to everything about our Cozmo before taking him to groom. She said it would be 2 to 3 hours. After just over 2 hours she called and she said he did great. At 14 years old and losing his sight he is a bit anxious. So happy with how handsome he looks and he went to say goodbye to Amber. She was a gem to find. Highly recommend. read more

Honestly, was not going to leave a review until this PetSmart location called me this afternoon. A few months back I dropped my small dog off for her express grooming appointment. The express appointments usually take around 2 hours. They forgot about my dog and proceeded to tell me the appointment was never booked as express even after I called to confirm with the location. When I finally was able to pick up my dog four or five hours later, she displayed behavior that indicated she had been physically mistreated. This was then confirmed by her vet the following day she was displaying signs of anxiety and more than likely "aggressively grab by her scruff" (which is not something you should do for full grown dogs as it could cause spinal or neck damage). I had called to complain to this PetSmart location about the situation and nothing was ever done. Today they proceed to call me to ask if I will be brining my dog in for future grooming services and when I informed them I would never be brining my dog back to this location the employee laughed then hung up on me. If I could give them zero stars I would. Unprofessional employees absolutely disgusted by the entire situation. read more

Fish stock is minimal at best. Drove to two other locations, but they had the same issue. Was encouraged to come in on stocking day. So I did and bought a couple fish. Before I got home. One was already nearly dead. Barely got him into the quarantine tank before he died. By the end of the night 3 more dead. Went to get them replaced and nearly every fish that arrived yesterday between the tetra and guppy tanks were dead. No joke dozens upon dozens of dead fish laying on the bottom of each of two tanks their remains being devoured by shrimp. I was then encouraged today to come in on fridays or Saturday to avoid getting any fish not strong enough to make it through shipement. I got home and now 3 more of them are dead. Bought a dozen fish from an online fish company and they are in a separate tank THRIVING. Overall unhappy with the quality of their stock. read more

Bought a Gecko in December... Noticed that retiles live in Horrendous conditions. Moreover, no one really explains that caring for a reptile is a hard job and requires many many different things. Kids and people purchase reptile pets without being away how much work it it. Then reptiles either become abandoned or die or being thrown away. Very sad. Moreover, the amount charged for reptile food is ridiculous... I hope their attitude and care towards the animals they keep will not only depend "on sell them & get rid of them for profit," but would actually involve care and letting people know that getting a pet is not like having a pet-rock. Plus, they need to train their staff more on how to care for reptiles - no one knew anything about gecko-care. read more

Called to see if they could ship one to the house and we could ship the tank to them, but got a very rude associate who wanted to do everything but help us. Then once we brought the tank back in they didn't have any in stock and made us pay the difference on the next size tank. My two girls (doggies) Kayla and Sydney-had not been groomed since December . Reason: their amazing groomer in the Davenport PetSmart moved out of town after she groomed them for 10 years!!! Didn't know who to trust.. they are almost 15 years old and can be fussy .. Kayla has her hotspots and allergic rashes are back.. and Sydney was a tangled mess.. Well Courtney spoke with me before she brought the girls back and actually listened.. I literally just walked all around the mall nervous about my girls for 3 hours.... only to come back to pick them up and they were perfect!! Courtney is awesome!!! Best groomer and a true professional! Yes she listened!!! They pranced out looking beautiful! I would highly recommend Courtney as a groomer especially with elderly doggies.. she is patient and precise! I hope the Manager has some type of accommodation for her.. Courtney is my new Groomer! I absolutely love taking my handsome little Yorkie here for all of his grooming needs. I am extremely particular about my dogs appearance and I only ever want the absolute best which means I do not just leave him in the hands of just anyone. Drianna is by far the best groomer we have ever had. Her level of expertise, patience, and most of all love for my dog is what keeps me traveling all the way from Tampa just for her special touch. She's always so accommodating and takes such pride in her work. I never leave bad reviews. In fact I mostly just leave positive reviews because I like to help out small businesses. However, my experience here today Merritt's and extremely disappointing review. We adopted our dog off of Petfinder about two weeks ago. We received some coupons from Petsmart for various things, dog food, pet training, grooming, pet hotel, and 20% off our entire purchase. During the allotted time, which was one week, we wanted to redeem our two free bags of Purina Pro dog food. We got up to the checkout line, and I showed them my coupon on my phone. The cashier called over the manager, and she said that since it wasn't scanning from my phone I could walk next-door to Staples and print them out and then she would take them. So we walked next door, paid to have the coupons printed out, and walked back over to Petsmart. We stood in line again and this time the store manager Vinny helped us. When he scanned the coupons they didn't work, and I told him what had previously happened. He basically said we were shit out of luck because the manager that had talk to us was on lunch now. And if we wanted we could wait for her to get back to lunch if our dog food meant that much to us. I told him that she had us go to Staples to print them out, and he said he can't honor them. There was nothing done at all on the customer service side to make this situation better. I know many stores honor coupons from competitors but Petsmart doesn't even honor their own coupons. In fact, they make you do extra work to go print them out and still won't honor them and treat you really poorly in front of other customers. In contrast, last week we went to Petco, and the cashier was more than friendly. He can explain to us that we received an extra $20 off our order if we spent five dollars more. He let us go shop really quickly to add more things to our order so we could get our $20 off. He went above and beyond to help us in point us in the right direction. And although Petsmart has a broader range of services and items to purchase, we will no longer be going back to Petsmart because of how poorly we were treated. I even told Vinny before I left how disappointed I was that not only did they not honor their own coupons, but we were asked to do an additional step so they would take the coupons. We complied and did that for nothing. I told him I would leave a very poor review online, and his exact words were "Then do that". Pet Smart has lost my business. When I picked up a bag of premium brand dry cat food you could see evidence of worms on the shelf. The management didn't seem concerned and said it happens and you just have to freeze the food to kill the worms. I decided to go to PetCo and did a little shelf survey and no worms! If you see little dusty cobweby pieces on the shelf then avoid the package! Petco is not as convenient for me to get to as PetSmart but I will definitely go out of my to get clean food. read more

I'm a big Petsmart fan anyway but this one is gorgeous! Brand new, clean and large! They have tons of neat stuff for your cat, dog, bird, fish or reptile. I love the fact that they lend space to adoption groups instead of selling dogs or cats. The do sell some rodents, reptiles, birds and fish. Employees are generally helpful. You are welcome to bring your pet and there are poop stations with cleaners and paper towels for accidents. I really liked the dedicated pet training area at the front of the store. You can peak through the window and watch the puppy class. What a great idea! read more

We have only had great experiences here. The vet is very nice and has been great with our puppy. We do shampoos and nails here and they treat our girl like a star. Morgan is a great trainer and we recommend the dog training classes. They seem pretty basic at times, but the pace was perfect for the dogs. Two thumbs up! read more

The grooming department at this location is absolute trash. We brought our two dogs in for a simple nail trim and the groomer that checked us in said "oh yeah, these are the bad dogs". I did a double take and was shocked that she would say that right in front of their owner and paying customer. They, like many other dogs, get a little fidgety when you try to hold them still and cut their nails. I looked her right in the face and said, "They are are not bad dogs. Don't say that in front of me again". This moron continued to say "no, they are bad" even after I expressed my displeasure of her comments. We stayed in the grooming department watching our dogs get their nails trimmed and while we were there, other groomers were cursing and complaining about the dogs they were grooming. One woman called the grooming department over the phone with a complaint (shocker) and they put her on hold and laughed about the situation before getting back in the phone with her and basically took no responsibility and tried blaming her! I will NEVER take my dogs back here to get groomed. The worst kind of low-life people working in that salon. read more
