This is my second time using their service. No complaints the first time but last week my 50lb aussiedoodle got a full groom service and I was charged $120. He was not matted and is not an aggressive dog. I asked the groomer why is he being charged so much when the websites pricing considers him a large dog, he disagreed with me and proceeded to tell me my dog was extra large. Groomer Freddy was beyond compassionate and understanding with me and my dog (who is reactive and terrified of being groomed). Freddy did an amazing job on my senior long hair chihuahua. She's almost 17 (!) years old, has arthritis, has a pin in her knee, has anxiety, and I was very nervous having her groomed for those reasons. Her fur was overgrown in places such as her paws and front/hind legs. Her nails were too long. I couldn't keep it like this any longer, and she was visibly uncomfortable. I found The Doggy House through Yelp's quote feature. My dog's rabies vaccination expired not too long ago and I was not going to have time to take him to the vet before he needed a quick groom, so I sent out a message to area businesses to see who would accept us. The Doggy House was quick to respond and maintain communication, so I decided to go with them. I chose the mini groom package which was $90 for a dog his size (60 lbs) and it was 15% off for first-time customers. I was able to make the appointment through Yelp messaging and provided my phone number so they could text me to confirm the appointment the night before, and the morning of. There were two small hiccups. First, I had provided detailed directions on how to find my place through the Yelp messaging... clearly did not make its way to the person who texted me on behalf of the driver/groomer. So he was about 35-40 minutes late to the appointment. Second, his English was terrible. He was very apologetic about this and seemed like a super nice guy who treats the animals with love and great care, so it was easy to get over. The person I was communicating with through Yelp and text message wrote in perfect English, though. The mini groom includes a bath with nice perfume (I can still smell it a week later!), ear cleaning, nail trimming, and more. My dog came back looking and smelling great with a cute little Halloween bandana. And the best part is that I didn't have to leave my apartment! The service took a little less than an hour. Super convenient and even though the price is a bit higher than a traditional groomer, I was willing to pay it to avoid having to load him into the car, take him to a strange place for hours on end, have other dogs around, have to pick him up, etc. All in all this was a great experience that I have already recommended to others who live in the area. read more

The best experience, my sweet boy has had many different groomers that just weren't a right match because he is terrified of the blow drier. One groomer even hurt him and left him with a black eye so imagine my relief when I found this AMAZING company.
