Originally we picked one dog and was told , many applications received on that dog . So we stated if that doesn't work we choose an alternate also . Reference calls were done and spoke with foster mom for original choice . No word so sent follow up email and was told you'll be getting a call from foster mom of another dog ( of which was not either of our choices ) . We replied and were then advised both dogs we choose were placed in foster homes already. WHAT !!! Thanks but no thanks , whole process took 3 1/2 weeks !

When my son picked up my dog, she smelled of feces, indicating she was left in a cage for an extended period, which is precisely what I feared would happen when dogs are caged for too long. WHAT A JOKE…read more Amongst the afflictions pettito saddled us with, thIS ACRE VIEW NONSENSE exam was "complimentary" only by way of walking in the door. The puppy was given three labs that I had to pay for, one of which was positive, and the vet stood over me and basically said "yes? You'll pay for all of y hese prescriptions? Yes?" ZERO bedside manner. ZERO discussion of the problems their business partner, pettito, just sold me. One of which was a double ear infection that this vet simply pointed at. "Look. SEE? Ear infections." Anytime I questioned the payment, the vet goes "you'll work that out with pettito On your own time" So I declined the meds, paid the labs and took the dog to our better, less gross vet and they not only did our good vet CLEAN THE DOGS EARS (why didn't these acre people clean the dog's ears for me? LAZY.), but they showed me that the site on the puppy where pettito administered the microchip was also SCARY infected. So I now have to pay to have that drained and treated and replaced. What a bunch of greedy pigs. They don't care about these animals. The puppies are a PAYCHECK to them. shame on you, you filthy creatures. Do better.

My senior yorkie hurt her eye and the new vet couldn't see her the same day. I called VCA and they immediately worked her in. When I walked in the door they didn't even ask her name because they remembered her. They got her a room right away and the Dr. was great, as always. We will be staying with VCA as it's important to us to have our pets seen when there's an emergency. They are open 7 days a week and every Dr. we've seen has been wonderful and caring. While the new vet was quite a bit less expensive it just isn't worth it to switch. Our girls mean too much to us.

I would like to preface this by saying that I really do wish I had a better experience. The girls…read morethat are at the front desk were always pretty much helpful and kind. However, thats really just from observing interactions with other guests/customers/pets. My own personal experience was actually really bad reflecting on it. I initially chose this office because the reviews seemed fair and I recently just moved here from CA and took in two 2 month old feral kittens. I went to VCA to get their vaccinations and that was fine. However, I will say the VET my pets had was great with administering shots but she wasnt really personable (just in my opinion via my personal experience). The tech that helped us the first time was really nice and friendly. I believe she had colorful hair. Maybe blue/purple at the time. She was awesome! However, the next visit when I came to get the second round of vaccinations for my two kitties I realized that the cost hadnt really been explained well to me. I didn't realize I was going to be paying vaccinations costs on two separate occasions. I was under the impression I was paying it all at once. Which is not necessarily their fault! Maybe i misunderstood or wasnt paying attention. But it did come as a surprise to me. So when I asked the Vet tech (who was a different lady this time around) about using my military discount she was extremely unhelpful. For a while she couldnt figure out why the military discount wasnt being applied. At one point she stared at her computer screen silently for maybe 7-10 minutes and it was awkward but I was thinking maybe she was thinking really hard. But then she looks at me and asks, " so are you going to pay?" I responded of course. Even if it was a surprise to me, I wouldnt just not pay? But when I asked again about yhr military discount being applied she was then like "well im not really sure whats wrong so..." and so I asked if I should speak to the receptionist and she said I should. The receptionist after leaving the front to ask questions, did come back and let me know that my vaccines were on a discount. So that made total sense! Also, I had mentioned to my Vet this visit that I was concerned because one of my kittens had started peeing on my couch and my bed. Not full bladder release but just a little. The Vet reassured me that it was probably just behavioral. Unfortunately it wasnt. And that kitten is now dead. That appointment was on Dec 17th and I had to put my kitten down Jan 5th because there was actually something wrong with his bladder that caused him to have blockage and essentially his bladder was packed with blood instead of urine. Knowing what I know now since my visit at VEG (I could honestly rave about them all day. They were so sweet and kind and helpful), I wish my vet would have asked more questions or at least told me to watch out for signs or anything. Instead I was just under the impression that maybe he was just annoyed or mad about something? Just being defiant maybe? I wasnt really sure. Lastly, I called to tell them my kitten had passed because i was picking up worm medicine for one kitten instead of two now and the person i spoke to never said my condolences or anything! Which I know thats not a requirement but I thought maybe as a patient I would have? Even when i went to pick up the medication I asked if I needed to let anyone else like the Vet know that they would only be servicing one kitten now and the front desk staff did say it was already notated in my account. But still no condolences. Theres nothing inherently wrong with these things, I guess? But it just doesnt feel right? Or okay. Or helpful or really anything that I want to feel from a place that has my 4 months old kitten as a "patient". So unfortunately, I will be going to a different veterinarian location.
