The quality of the food was really good and the vegetables were very fresh. The portion size was very good also. The service was great and the staff was very pleasant. The inside is nice, however, we chose to sit outside as the weather was sunny and warm. They have about 4 large round tables outside if I remember right with umbrellas. I found Pino Mediterranean Grill about a year ago, and this has quickly become my favorite spot for Greek food. I love how they make the food fresh, and they use a thermometer to make sure the meat is properly cooked! I've noticed them constantly bringing out fresh ingredients to make the best fresh meals money can buy. The menu has a great selection of dishes and they've recently added a breakfast menu. So far everything I've tasted here is excellent. They even have a vegetarian options! The restaurant and the restrooms are clean and well maintained. The staff as well as the owner, are all friendly, professional and very personable... One last thing; the tabouli salad, the jalapeño and cilantro hummus, and the spicy hummus are all amazing; No matter what I order. The portion are big, and you really get your money's worth. The Chicken was tender accompanied by crispy lettuce and thin slices of red onion, the olives and feta added the right amount of tangy flavor and the bread was warm, fluffy and fresh. Ooh! Their iced tea is brewed to near perfection and their traditional baklava is an absolutely lovely finish to any meal. Finally, the lynchpin to this trifecta is the best customer service and attention to detail that I have seen in a long time. This place it's kind of in a weird location because you have to walk around the building to get in. Upon getting in, I was greeted by the man at the register. He seemed very polite. However, it took my food at least 15 to 20 minutes to be done and all that I ordered was a Greek gyro. Upon presentation, it looks like it might have been an OK sandwich. However, it was very clear that the tomatoes were not fresh. After eating some of the sandwich, I noticed that the lamb was extremely salty by itself and the Taziki sauce is really gross with an overpowering flavor. There was no sign of dill. The hosts are hospitable, it has delicious Mediterranean dishes (which I'm a big fan of), and it has inexpensive prices. In the past, whenever I was in this area, I would always visit Hickory Tavern. I ordered the chicken kebab platter. It came with a salad and side so I got hummus and a Greek salad. It came with yellow rice, too. I added two pieces of falafel for $1.75. My husband got a chicken wrap with fries. The verdict.... My food was pretty tasty but the chicken was very tough and dry. If I didn't have the hummus and tzatzkik sauce I would have been disappointed. The hummus was good but it was a little spicy for me. Everything else was fine. My husband said his wrap was dry too and needed sauce. There was a huge batch fo seasoned chicken being cooked, and another person's order was being prepared. I got 2 grape leaves, 2 falafel, and the greek gyro with fries. I traveled about 10 minutes back to my hotel and everything was still neatly packed and in order when I opened it, so their to-go is very travel friendly. The grape leaves tasted fresh and lemon-y; the falafel was crispy on the outside, delicious on the inside and not bland at all (I didn't use any sauce); the fries were good, though a bit limp so I don't think those were fresh. The greek gyro had huge pieces of peppery, juicy beef/lamb, it wasn't overpowered by red onion, and the feta and tzatziki was all over my mouth after each bite (just the way I like it). I came in for lunch today. The reviews for this place sounded out-of-this-world amazing. I had just left Trader Joe's and I was already in the parking lot. The place looked clean. Their sanitation grade of 99.5 was gleaming over the register. The floors and tables were clean. The food in the glass cases looked good. The chicken sizzling on the grill looked and smelled good. The menu options sounded good. I approached the register. The cashier acted disinterested. I asked a few questions about the menu and got short replies. I stated that the humus looked good. He said "I'm allergic to humus." I settled on a schwarma qyro combo. The drink machine filled my cup with carbonated water and no drink syrup. I told the guy. He said "it must be out" and he went on about his business. I finally poured it out and got some water. My food came out correctly. The food was good. The gyro was good. Wow! My husband and I have found a new spot! I've been getting coupons in the mail for Peno. My husband and I decided to do a lunch date which usually consists of picking up our food and eating in our cars away from the kids lol. We chose this restaurant because it was new to us both and my husband wanted healthy. Did not expect to end up eating there but we did. The store is clean. Many of the tables are put up so there are 3 tables available to eat in. None of them being used. And he offered to clean and sanitize a table in front of us. Employees wore masks and gloves when handling food. Sanitizer is available. Contactless payments. The person who served us was able to answer all of our questions and even accommodated a request to switch out the meat on a wrap. He was pleasant, professional and very proud of the food they had to offer. Everything we ordered was made fresh and it didn't take long at all. I used the bathroom while waiting. There are two single restrooms. It was very clean. All of our food was DE LI CIOUS!!! There is so much more I want to try. I had the Greek gyro bowl which is awesome if you want to cut back on bread. Here's the thing though: there was plenty of tzatziki sauce! Usually I have to ask for extra any time I've ordered a gyro anywhere else. I also ordered the jalapeño cilantro hummus. Yum! They had several different flavors I want to try. My husband had a Philly cheesesteak wrap and avocado salad. Both were tastey. They also sold a lemon lavender green tea sparkling drink. One of the best lamb gyro platters I have had. The lamb meat was thick juicy, tender and deliciously seasoned. The Greek salad underneath which is a little difficult to see was a mixed green salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion and feta. The Greek dressing was very tasty. The pita was nice and warm and very fluffy not dried out and went great with their hummus. Hummus itself was very flavorful not bland along with the tzatziki sauce. The falafel was perfect. It had a really nice crispy outside the inside was a chickpea and lima bean mixture that was well seasoned. The total cost for food and drink was just under $19. It's a ton of food.
