Dr.Mun is one of my favorite dentists. I went to him for my wisdom teeth removal which went well, I was comfortable while in office and knew if anything happened I was in good hands. He was easy to work with and really listens to his patients concerns. I did Invisalign treatment here as well. Pilar was the head ortho rep when i started my Invisalign. Pilar was excellent and very upbeat , always a pleasure to see while i was there. While Invisalign took a lot longer then expected to finish treatment I'm pretty satisfied with the overall out come. The rest of the office staff is very friendly and welcoming and the treatment coordinator Lauren is very knowledgeable and was able to address all of my concerns in the best way possible. Overall the office is in a convenient location and I would 10/10 recommend Dr.Mun and his team to anyone in the area. 1 star taken away as I had a emergency root canal that was needed, dr.mun was not available and the dr I did see (don't have a clue what her name is) attempted to drain and fill my tooth while in active Infection before even prescribing antibiotics. I have had some tooth work in the past and am well aware that wasn't the brightest idea, I decided to go elsewhere for immediate attention due to this experience. read more

My family and I were looking for a new dentist upon moving to Austin and tried this office out. It's nice and clean and you can tell they invest in the latest technology. Unfortunately, they find a way to charge you for it. We received an estimate for our cleanings (which they wouldn't just do on our first appointment) and other work which came out to be significantly more than other places I've gone. Even in-network, their charges came to $200-$300 more for a crown than I've paid in the past AFTER what insurance covers. Plus, they want to up-charge you for other things, like a "laser package" deep cleaning. Shouldn't this just be included in your cleaning if it's something they highly recommend for most patients? If money isn't an issue for you then this place might be fine but for our young family every dollar matters and this place just isn't for us. read more

I *want* to like this place. Their business processes are chaotic. If they paid my consulting fee, I'd have a full plan on their desk by Friday. Pros: Dr Chung is a great guy. Good care, great charisma. Cons: I think they can improve a few things... Visit #2: While the dentist has a running drill in my mouth, an endless line of staff were coming into the room in droves and asking him all kinds of questions for billing, procedures, etc. That solidified the fact I need a new dental group. It's plain disrespectful. Then, my temporary crown breaks 2 days later, an hour before a long flight. I had to go to another dentist in Hawaii to get a new temp crown put on. Visit #3: That crown pops out on a Thursday. I call Friday morning to get it back in. The office makes me wait til Tuesday to get it fixed. "You have an appointment five days from now. Just come in then." Not cool. The other thing is that appointment booking goes through some kind of middle-man group. It takes 2+ calls to get sorted. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars if i could, My sister recommended this place because she said it's a nice new neighborhood friendly dentist place that she found which made us excited to give it a try so I made an appointment for my husband. Arriving there the first time he felt like the workers were judging him base on his teeth which made him feel uncomfortable, they then checked his teeth and found some gum disease and sent him to a specialist to do a deep clean which is understandable. after seeing the specialist for a deep clean, the specialist told him that he can go back to the dentist to get some fillings done because they don't do it there, so we went back and tried to call family dental to schedule for an appointment, as stressful as it already is they made it so difficult talking about there wasn't a plan for my husband and when i asked what is a plan? they replied there was no plan for him when he went to see the specialist so the dentist can't do anything. wasn't going to the specialist a plan ? then i told them that the specialist doesn't do filling that's why we had to schedule an appointment with them. She asked me what he needed fillings for ? his cavities ? duh ! This place is very unprofessional and is not worth the time, I do not recommend this unfriendly place for anyone. read more

THEY WILL LEAVE YOUR MOUTH IN RUIN This was prior to mental health being a topic easily talked about. But now that I'm better I have to speak up for myself. I was clinically depressed at the time and some days couldn't even get out of bed. I missed two appointments, but still stayed in contact, and on the day of my appointment, when I was on my way there, they stopped treatment! Not only did they stop treatment but they charged me $150 per missed appointment prior (2). Although I Never Signed Anything saying that I agreed to a no-show fee. In addition; when I first went into this Dentist I was told, after x-rays and a full exam, that I needed 2 Root Canals and a Crown. I had a friend who was there to assist me in paying for these services as I had no insurance at the time. There was even payment given to them for their in-house insurance (scam) program. Once the credit card was swiped and I went back to start services; I was told that I would not need one of the root canals. I actually believe that they overcharged me for the second root canal intentionally to keep that money knowing that I would not need it and that the Services would be Paid In Full that day. In the end I never got my money back. They pretty much robbed me and left my dental work incomplete and now I'm missing a tooth and the other left in decay. Stay Away from them as they are unethical and will find reasons to take your money once they have it! Pros and cons Pro- the staff seem to genuinely care about getting to know their patients as well as their patients' families and provide excellent care. Everyone is professional and friendly. Con- my elderly mother was there from 8:45 am until 2pm having major dental surgery. Apparently no one thought to ask her if she needed the restroom. She was heavily sedated as we got her into my car and as we pulled away mentioned that she desperately needed to stop and find a restroom. I pulled into the gas station around the corner and she passed out on the floor and hit her head twice. I am only 5'2 and was barely strong enough to get her back in the car especially as not a single person in the crowded store was willing to help me. Please take into consideration the fact that very few people can last over 6 hours without relieving themselves. read more

Dr. Powell sent my exwife to Pflugerville Family Dentistry. Now Dr. Powell removed a front tooth and cracked the 2 teeth beside it they left the tooth out for at least 9 months. She had to wear a flipper that broke. Plugerville Family Dentistry kept giving her gum grafts until she lost her gums on her front tooth. We paid $3000 for this service and she is still left with a front tooth that has chipped away. This service was performed in 2017. Most of the teeth in my exwifes mouth are crowns and none of those have chipped away. Thank you for being so nice and professional to us Dr. Powell and Pflugerville Family Dentistry. read more

When I confirmed my appointment, it was cancelled due to it being too late. So, I needed to make a new appointment and I did. Later that day, I called to confirm it and they said they did not receive my appointment. I later got a text saying "(MM) (DD), (0:00) AM" and told them I got that text but they kept saying there was no appointment for that time. My family members also had their appointments cancelled because the dentists could not come in at those times. It is so unfair because if we could not make it to the appointment, they would charge us but if the dentist couldn't make it they would not get charged. We will be changing our dentist. Enough is enough. Also, some of the hygienists are too aggressive or too lazy with the cleaning process. Last time, my mouth was bleeding a lot from the cleaning. read more

Very impressed with this practice. This is the first time I've gone to a dentist appointment and haven't immediately started to think about where I want them to transfer my x-rays because I wasn't coming back. They do require you to call when you arrive and have someone come out to your car to escort you in. I personally preferred this method because I feel much more comfortable in my car than sitting in the waiting room. Honestly, it's the bedside manner for me. They have a bunch of little amenities that alone aren't that big a deal, but add a special touch that shows how thoughtful they are. My comfortability was the priority. Everything was explained thoroughly and the dentist checked in frequently to see if I had questions. My dental assistant was very friendly and explained everything before doing it. What I was most impressed by was my check out procedure. They take you to and office to sit down versus having to stand at the front desk. All payments were explained in detail and I asked frequently if I had questions. We spent some time working on scheduling my next visit, which was a little difficult because they're so busy. We decided on a date and time that I could make work. But the next day she reached out with a different time that would worm better to see if I wanted to reschedule. I thought it was going above and beyond to remember our conversation about what times work best for me, notice a cancelation, and think to call and offer me a reschedule. Overall, I would totally recommend everyone to this practice. The fact that they're busy lends to the fact that they have such great customer service. The little things matter here and it's what makes me trust them with my oral care. read more

I came back for my follow up. I was a bit nervous I must say. They found five cavaties on me during my check up. What can I say I slacked on check ups for quite a while. Lazy I call it and now let's just say I learned a valuable lesson. Today it took about two hours to get my cavaties taken care of and I was well taken care of by Dr. Mum and all his staff. It was a 21st century experience. One they use the prescription numbing gel to numb your gums prior to numbing your mouth with a needle. Then a few minutes of waiting he used the needle. The technician and Dr. Mun explained every step of the way prior and during each process. Dr. Mun was very gentle with the shots. I didn't feel anything to be quite honest. Then they gave me options to watch Netflix, listen to music, with or without headphones for the first two options or to just cancel the drilling noise out. I chose neither because I wanted to go old school! I couldn't get my mind off the fact I had cavaties at this age. Either way it was nice to have those options. I don't ever remember going to a dentist in the last 10 years and being able to watch Netflix from the chair. They even have the best suction tube that prevents you from swallowing the nasty stuff. My technician was awesome, her and I held a great conversation during the wait times and we carried a great conversation on with Dr. Mun. She was very professional and kept pace and on track with Dr. Mun They both would check to make sure I was in no pain every step of the way. Dr. Mum is very great at what he does! He is honestly the most gentle dentist I ever met to work on my teeth. I am amazed at how fast they get me in and out this place so fast while taken care of like VIP. Generally I hate dentists - so much so that I didn't go to one for 20+ years. These guys are different. I went for the first time today fully anticipating a negative experience. I was pleasantly surprised. Super warm and friendly. Very clean. I was particularly interested in their operation in a COVID environment. They had it all. Social distancing, face masks, hand sanitizer for everyone, waiting in the car until they are ready for you, texting upon arrival and waiting for them to come and get you. Plus a GIFT bag! What? Today I switched to Pflugerville Family Dentistry for a full checkup, Bentley took care of me all the time. She is amazing! I couldn't stop telling her about my mobile teeth, over 10 times. This girl was just so patient and comforting. Because of her gentleness and profession, I ended up with asking for a teeth cleaning which wasn't a part of my plan. A change in residence prompted a change in my dentist office. Once again, a consultation in Yelp brought me here and an appointment was made. As a brand new customer, setting up my first appointment on the phone was super easy, and most of the forms you have to fill out was done online. Already loving the efficiency! It always appears that the front desk, hygienists, and the doctors are all separate entities that can give you a whole different experience. Here, it was not the case. I arrived early and was greeted with smiles and peppy greetings. The office filled with natural light and was stocked with drinks and a small play area for children. After signing two quick forms on the ipad, I only had to wait two minutes before I was called in. My hygienist was Benet, and she was overall really warm. She struck up conversations and guided me through the x-rays and the entire cleaning process like it was second nature. Nothing made me feel uneasy. At the end, I was seen by Dr. Wang and she was equally as hospitable. Now, one thing that they did that none of my past dentists had done was that they actually brought up my x-rays and pictures on the TV screen and showed me exactly what they were looking at. They used them to explain to me the current state of my teeth, and since I'm a huge visual person, this was super helpful. It turns out I needed to get my last two wisdom teeth extracted plus maybe a couple more procedures. Benet and Dr. Wang explained to me my options in a way that made me feel comfortable interjecting with questions. I'm pretty introverted so it takes a lot for me to feel that comfortable. No problems with insurance, and I walked out actually knowing a lot more about my own teeth than I've ever had. read more

Y'all these people are awful, don't go there. They did bad work, caused me more pain than a dentist ever has for a tooth extraction and also made the teeth next to it wiggly because of how much he wrenched the extracted tooth around, my stitches came out like a day later even though I'd had bone implant done to prepare for an implant, the dentist specifically was super rude and judgmental and made me feel awful so don't listen to the website saying they won't do that, they're super disorganized and couldn't seem to keep anything straight, they asked if I wanted to pre-pay for other services I was getting later so I did(regrets) and then they turned around and used that money to pay off the HUGE bill they did not prepare me for when my insurance didn't cover what they thought it would(they should know more about insurance and prepare people for that) without even asking me or telling me ahead of time. They straight up used the funds I set aside for a cleaning etc to pay off stuff I could have put off and couldn't really afford if I'd know how much it would be. On top of all that, the filling he did partially fell out within two or three weeks. The dentist is such a stressful experience and they really gave me a new level of anxiety about the whole thing. I'm really upset about the whole thing. Then they had that nerve to send me a bill for $75 which is what is left after they robbed me of my pre-paid services, overcharged me like crazy, and generally took advantage of me. During my Visit, Doctor and Nurse verified my teeth and recommend deep cleaning which I was ok to do it, but they did not have time slot to do 2021, so I requested to do normal cleaning so I can use my Insurance in 2021and deep cleaning in 2022 dental insurance, Doctor is not ready to do it and they were asking paying from my pocket normal cleaning . I was not happy with it, I told them I will not see you AGAIN !!! . I called my Insurance, they confirmed you can get normal cleaning but Samir Gupta he was saying I was not eligible for normal cleaning . I don't know what is this mean. read more

I am so pleased with this office. They have a friendly staff, clean, and use the most updated procedures when it comes to cleaning. The most important thing about my experience was: The office staff made a mistake regarding my insurance, which resulted in getting a 400 dollar bill. I emailed the office manager regarding the error and she replied that the bill had been taken care as per the dentist. I just want to say thank you to the dentist. I've been to this office a few times this is my first review on it. Every time it's been great from the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile. To being walked back to your room the assistants are super polite and knowledgeable. In my experiences the wait has never been to long but if it does get a little busy there's Netflix to watch a show before and maybe during your treatment and WiFi. Both Drs that have seen me there are both great. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone needing work done. read more

I got called at least 5 times by Adriana telling me that I can't be late to my appt. I was already getting bad vibes. I walk in the hygienist and dr were amazing very friendly and professional. After I was done they moved me to the treatment coordinator room. she told me they would call me in the next day or two for treatment. I waited two weeks for that call.
